UKG Ready Pros and Cons

really simple to use, quite intuitive, several views, possibility to have a windom with more explanation about every type of holiday, view of every month, change request easy, every important information on the main page. The system is very easy to use and save time and paper. Instead of filling out a paper request for time off - you just login and submit it electronically. Then my manager just has to click to approve it. So simple. Even if I miss a punch - UKG lets me know and I submit a request to add a punch and then my manager just clicks a button to accept it. I like that the the user interface very detailed & navigation is almost to easy for the curious mind. It actual provides more options than I've seen in other applications Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

i did notice in the time keeping portion when i request time off i have to delete my approved request then add the partical hours I am working if they are earlier in the day then readd the approved hours. If I dont my hours seem forged or throws different errors. My time is still approved so it is more of an inconvinence than a hinderance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UGK ready is an easy app to use that has multiple security measures to keep your account secure. UGK ready isn't just any other app that lets you check you're schedule and pay, it also is a way for your managers to communicate with you and request time off. Something else I really enjoy about the app is I can speak to my manager directly through the app without having to get her personal phone number or add her on social media. The issue I have with the software it the timeclock and time sheet. There are several easy to find errors that make it hard to edit and enter your time. I find myself needing my boss to annoyingly edit everything. My requests go directly to the president of our company, every mistake I make, which are easy to make take time out of her day to fix. So your products issues are causing my job to be at risk as every mistake I make annoys our companies president.

I would list ad nauseam the issues with the time clock but it is pretty obvious a strong QA effort was not used in the release of it so my advice is put some Quality Assurance testing on it and you'll likely find issues I haven't even run into.

I will give one example. I leave at 5pm each day, if I miss my punch I typically find out the next day. Because the clock is still going I have to 'Punch Out' in the morning in order to punch in for the next day. Which means I have to create an incorrect entry the morning punch out, in order to then create two change requests to fix it. One adding a punch on the previous day and another removing the punch out on the current day. Also if it takes me a minute to figure this out as was the case in the beginning, I'll taken 15-20 mins trying to punch in to the new day, causing that punch in to be incorrect. So a third change request, because of how the product was coded to handle this, not my mistake. With the mistake I made and how it is coded 1 punch request quickly becomes three requests, and this is an issue for every new employee to figure out.

Now because she has to approve this any time it happens, I'm in her office more then I need to be, as the product does not give me the options to fix it myself. I understand many places want the control to be able to have to approve every change, but where are the options to allow more control? I also think there should be settings where rules work one way for overnight for 3rd shift and rules work another way if listed as a 1st shift employee.

UKG has been great to use as an end user. I use the system every day. Information is retavlety easy to locate. Changes in the system are easy to make. Certain changes may need to be made by the admins. Requests from my admins were made quickly also which tells me that management on their end must also be simple. Me personally I like being able to see my time sheet within seconds of getting on the app. Checklists are especially easy to access threw the bell icon, makes requirements for work an easier task to achieve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can get glitchy at times it's not even after using the app for extended periods of time either, even thought I know my connection is not an issue. In accordance to looking at time sheet I wish there was a way to see my earned wages threw the app instead of using a secondary app/website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really love that my timesheets are readily available and that I can leave notes if I forgot to clock in or out. I also appreciate how easy it is to clock in and out! Lastly, the location aspect is unique and useful to employers I'm sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish it didn't log me out so fast after inactivity. My phone can't face scan so I have to type all my info in every time. I also wish that I could access ALL of my previous timesheets (not just "yearly" or "quarterly", given it is the beginning of a new year it is difficult to access that whole year. If we could instead pick a custom date range, or have an "all time" option, it would be especially helpful during tax seasons. All around amazing and efficient app, these are pretty minor critisms. What I like best about UKG is that it is easily accessible when pay information may be needed or W2 forms accessed, but at the same time the app is very secure. Passwords must be maintained & updated every so often to ensure that security. The Logging in with face recognition is one of my favorite things about logging in. UKG has truly been a life saver when I needed print outs of my pay history, updating contact information or informing of important updates.It really is just an all around great app to keep track of things pertaining to work & communication tool. The most helpful thing about the UKG Ready app is how easy it is to use. When I was first hired, it did not take much time for me to understand how to clock in and clock out. It also did not take me much time to figure out how to change timesheets, find my timesheets, and any other information regarding my hours, training, and payment options. The least helpful thing about UKG Ready is how long it takes for timesheets to be updated if there is an error. This means that if I am going to be paid soon, I have to constantly check if my timesheet was updated so that I am paid accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
