UKG Ready Pros and Cons

We are impressed with the wide range of capabilities offered by the UKG Ready product. It will scale as the company scales.

Our implementation team was wonderful and always available to answer questions. Even followed up regularly when we got busy and had to be reminded to get needed information submitted.

There is so much to learn. One step and one module at a time.

Had an issue recently where we transferred 3 employees from one EIN to another. Turns out in Ready things like PTO and sick accruals do not transfer. This seems odd to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the overall product and the customer service we have recieved. It has helped us go from very manual procesess, and double and triple entry to a one stop shop for our HR team as well as our employees. While going through implementation you have your bumps in the road but everyone we worked with we were never worried about it not getting resolved or figuring out our solution to make it easier! I love how UKG provides tools and resources to help you continue to use your system better, and they really take the customers feedback and put it into use when changing, adding, or updating any parts of the system. Can't really think of anything - the biggest thing for me was a mindshift change from using another HRIS Software. It is not set up like most I have worked in and the naming or location of things is just different. It is truly one big excel spreedsheet. It is just a learning curve. For us, the functionality of the product was what sold us on moving our system over to UKG. We love the quick response we receive on questions we have. The support community has allowed us to problem solve without contacting UKG reps as well. There are a ton of learning modules and the constant movement towards improveing the product and services was a big selling point for us. We also loved our implementation and build team! I think integration. It would be nice if UKG was able to pull information from some of the old systems rather than the team needing to spend the time on that. Those pieces were extremely time consuming and at times overwhelming...but, when it's said and done, we are extremely satisfied with the product and that we moved to UKG after years of struggle with no resolution in our old system! UKG Training was provided which I have never experienced with a work site like this. It made navigating the site extremely easy, and the training was quick and self paced! The site is broken down into different tabs with subcateories that make it easy to find where you are trying to go. I also appreciate that you can get to certain tasks in multiple ways instead of just one. For example, if I want to submit a PTO request, there are 3 different places I can do that throughout UKG. A nice fail asfe for users is the optional search bar at the top! Just type in whatever area you are trying to find and it will gelp navigate you there. I am pleasantly surprised with this site. My relationship with UKG is still in the early stages so I have not come across any negatives so far. I know the search bar will help me with anything I cannot find. It would be nice to have options for users to select color themes to personalize their login page, but it is not necessary by any means, just for fun! Lastly, it would be nice and super helpful to include a NOTES section below the main page's login section so that small notes can be included with any punch-ins or punch-outs. I liked how easy it is to see everything in one spot, whether it is calcuating my PTO hours available or being able to quickly clock in and out. It is an app well-designed for daily use for the average employee. The UI is also very pleasantly designed with several options available for several different types of employee needs. Some parts of the UX are a mixed bag. There have been a handful of times in the last couple of months where everybody on my team could not clock out on time due to some sort of issue with the app's servers. Sometimes it will let me log in and then tell me I'm not logged in repeatedly until I restart the app. It doesn't run well on in the background of one's phone, but it does well on PC interfaces. I appreciate how user-friendly UKG Ready is overall. It streamlines many HR processes, making tasks like scheduling and time management much more efficient. The only area I find a bit challenging is navigating the Current Timesheet page. It can feel a bit overwhelming at times, and I think the layout could be more intuitive. However, with practice, it gets easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UKG Ready is user-friendly with an easy-to-navigate platform. Clocking in and out is easy with the tap of a button. If I need to modify, add, or delete a punch, it only takes a few simple steps. Submitting a timesheet is simple, too. Many of the features take less than three steps. The look of the website version is aesthetic as well ADA-friendly as well. I am not able to use the mobile version of UKG Ready, but that is because my job does not permit it. However, I understand the reasoning - to ensure employees are on campus when punching in and out for work. No complaints from me! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I enjoy many things about UKG that my previous work app did not have. On UKG I am able to preview what my paycheck could be depending on the hours I have worked. I can also see exactly how many hours I have worked so far. UKG shows me my original start date, which I love! I do not like that I have to re-sign in every single time I open the app. I'd like for it to just pop up as my time clock when I open the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's so easy to navigate even if you have trouble finding something all you do is type it in the search bar and it takes you to all the option that could be what you're looking for. It shows you every aspect of the company and how you fit inside. It shows all your important documents, benefits ,need know information and certifications,etc. It is like a digital break room anything that your company would normally announce pinned up on a break room wall, they have it customized to be shown on the front of the app! The time sheet is by far the best layout. It breaks down your time in manageable pieces. Showing the hours and days of work. Also showing a weekly and monthly break down of my schedule. the tabs are easy to click through and select what you need to look for. it is quick to check on my hours during the day for times and weekly checking.
