## About UI Bakery
UI Bakery is a low-code application development platform that helps teams build internal tools, backoffice applications, and customer-facing portals using AI-assisted generation combined with visual configuration. UI Bakery belongs to the low-code and AI application builder software category. It is designed for product teams, engineers, data teams, operations, and business users who need to create custom applications on top of existing data sources without building everything from scratch. The platform focuses primarily on AI-driven app creation, where users describe what they want to build and the system generates working applications, logic, and UI, with drag-and-drop configuration available as a complementary approach. UI Bakery is commonly used to build internal dashboards, admin panels, CRUD applications, approval workflows, data management tools, and lightweight customer portals. It supports both technical and non-technical users by allowing collaboration between people who prompt and configure apps and developers who extend or fine-tune them when needed. Key capabilities and characteristics include: - AI-powered app generation that creates UI, data bindings, and logic from natural language prompts - Visual builder with drag-and-drop components for layout, forms, tables, and workflows - Integration with databases and APIs such as REST, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and third-party services - Support for authentication and authorization, including role-based access control, single sign-on, and audit logs for internal applications UI Bakery can be deployed as a cloud-hosted service or self-hosted, which makes it suitable for organizations with security, compliance, or data residency requirements. It is used across industries where software development is not the core business but custom internal tooling is required, including finance, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and professional services. Additional platform features include: - Environment management for development, staging, and production - Version control and collaboration for teams working on the same application - Custom JavaScript support for extending logic beyond visual configuration - Reusable templates and components to standardize internal tooling UI Bakery is typically adopted by teams that want to reduce the time and effort required to build and maintain internal applications while keeping control over data, security, and customization. It is positioned for organizations that want to combine AI-assisted development with structured low-code tooling rather than relying on fully manual coding or static app generators.

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Easy of use. Speed. Understanding typo. Understanding what I meant to ask and repeating it the proper way.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Some times it felt like it was grinding my AI Tokens

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create web Apps without any coding skill

  ### 2. Powerful, flexible, and truly free self-hosted platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

After deeply researching and testing multiple tools, UI Bakery stood out for allowing free self-hosting with no limitations on functionality. It’s incredibly flexible and powerful—unlike other free, self-hosted options I tried. You can build whatever you want, integrate with APIs and databases smoothly, and it’s a perfect fit for working with AI tools. I’m excited to use it for upcoming projects and would definitely recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

The UI could be a bit more intuitive in some areas, especially for beginners, but once you get used to it, the capabilities are worth the learning curve.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI Bakery helps me build and deploy internal tools and automations incredibly fast without being limited by the platform. I can connect to any API or database and create powerful custom UIs that solve real business problems, like streamlining operations, monitoring data, and integrating AI workflows—without paying for complex setups or enterprise licenses.

  ### 3. The absolute best choice for experienced coders who just want to create.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee N. | Freelance Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

I have seven years of coding experience. My background is primarily with front-end serverless web development and mobile app development using front-end web technology.

That background has me hardwired to expect things to work a certain way. I think like a coder, even when working with low-code solutions. And that can be problematic with tools like Bubble. But not at all with UI Bakery.

During my first experience, I found the entire interface and approach extremely comfortable; like slipping on a well-worn pair of shoes. Everything was right where I expected it to be and worked like I expected it to work the first time. I had it connected to a custom Notion CRM in minutes without even looking at the docs.

The feature set and component selection cover almost every use case I can think of. UI Bakery exceeded both Retool and Appsmith in that category.

If I ever find myself wanting something very specific, I'm confident I can pull it off with UI Bakery, because code, variables, and data are first-class citizens. Whereas with tools like AppSmith, you have to manage each one in its own area and then awkwardly wire it up after. With UI Bakery, it's all just right there, and somehow still not cluttered.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

I found some of the documentation a little thin on edge use cases. For example, when I installed the On-Premise version, I couldn't find a lot of information on how to connect to a database on the machine where the Docker was hosted. I connected to external data sources, with no problem, though.

However, I couldn't even get AppSmith or Retool to work on my machine at all. AppSmith documentation was out of date and Retool needed a ton of configuration that made it unclear why it wasn't working.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My current client is the CEO of a small, but lucrative investment firm. He wants to create custom tools to provide his clients with unique perspectives on financial data.

He is very stability and future-proof oriented. (He likes a belt and suspenders approach to technology.) In my current project, he has me using data orchestration to gather financial data, organize it, and store it in a Postgres database.

With UI Bakery, I can access the data from his server's database or directly from the API. So the data orchestration can be used for generating reports that can be accessed from the UI Bakery app. And for more immediate data exploration, UI Bakery can connect directly to the API.

He also insists on having a solution that can be locally hosted on his own server, as there can be a lot of churn in the tech industry. While exploring solutions, I tried setting up AppSmith, Retool, and UI Bakery on my personal Linux-based laptop. UI Bakery was the only one that installed the first time without any configuration or wrangling.

  ### 4. great tool to quickly create web interfaces for your data.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

quick way to create databases and web-frontends including options to connect to backend api. works quickly and very clean. there is a self-hosting option

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

ability to export the create application to be run somewhere else.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

not enough internal development capacity to keep pace with creating internal applications.

  ### 5. Fast and effective way of developing internal tools

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

The best feature about UI bakery is the ability to easily generate customized UI components with the help of its AI assistant. It allows the user to accurately generate UI components that are not present in the UI component library.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

A couple of things that could be improved is the collection of UI elements in the component library, and the flexibility in terms of interaction between screens, modals, and other UI elements. For example, with respect to a modal, the ability to go from one modal to the next would be helpful.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI bakery is reducing design and development time quite a lot, which is making the process faster and reducing collaboration times and mistakes.

  ### 6. UiBakery - advanced UIs with (very) low code

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davide Z. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

UI Bakery has a complete set of widgets and makes it very easy to design complex UI interfaces for single-page applications- I appreciate the connectors to external sources from which you can read and manipulate data.
Big plus for the application log, and the possibility to use it.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Minor bugs on some components (map, tree viewers).
Sometimes it is hard to understand the flow of execution for the actions triggered by status changes.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When designing a UI usually there is not yet a model defined, on the other side, when developers think of the model for some data, they do not know how that is going to be represented.
Thanks to UI Bakery a quick google spreadsheet can be used to represent a SQL and a designer can see what kind of fields are required to draw good interfaces.

  ### 7. Very good interface and easy to learn for cheaper than the comppetitors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrii S. | Senior Backend Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Pretty simple and clear UI to build POC and prototyping of some idea. Requires very low entry level and does not take much time to understand their UI builder to implement a draft UI of some idea. The number of features is awesome! You can just setup a datasource which can be like a REST client and you can use it right away!

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

It wasn't obvious personally to me how long will free period last of published production release. Maybe that was my bad and I should had to read some documentation.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI Bakery helped me to build POC quickly using as less manual code as possible to present a demo for a business of how we could use GiftBit APIs.

  ### 10. A Game-Changer for App Development with UI Bakery

I've been really impressed with UI Bakery. The pricing is excellent, offering fantastic value for the features provided. The support team is incredibly responsive and helpful, which makes the overall experience even more enjoyable. The product itself is outstanding—intuitive, versatile, and packed with features that streamline app development.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

One minor downside is that there is a bit of a learning curve. However, once you get the hang of it, the benefits far outweigh this small initial hurdle.

Overall, UI Bakery is a brilliant tool that delivers both quality and affordability, and I'm excited to continue using it for my projects!

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use UI Bakery to process the content that our AI scrapes into a database and then enrich the data using UI Bakery's tools.

  ### 11. Intuitive app design at a competitive price.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

The detail at which you are able to customize the components you use in building the app helps to make the apps you create more personalized to your use case.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

The lack of explanation in documentation.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is replacing a network of software and automation that are disconnected from each other. The apps we are developing will be the hub for most of not all of our internal company processes and some of its automations.

  ### 14. UI Bakery is an INCREDIBLE platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Incredibly easy to prototype - I'm now using this every day and blowing EVERYONES MINDS!!!
I've been looking for this kind of tool for 10 years. In those 10 years I've gone from barely understanding Bootstrap and Javascript/JQuery to full-stack-development but ALWAYS was blocked by Cloud Infrastructure deployments and the challeges of learning a/some/many UI libraries.

UIB intuitive (for me) and elimates ALL THE HARD PARTS of development: the command line interfaces and disjointed-but-interconnected parts of an app. UI Bakery approaches it UI first and it's a HOME RUN! I'm amazed. I might just be able to convince my company to standardize on this to save MONTHS OF DEVELOPMENT TIME!

Integrated AI in custom Code.
EASILY UNDERSTANDABLE custom code blocks
The ACTION Engine - OMG YES!
Freaking EASY releases OMG! BUILT IN VERSION CONTROL?!
Modular Concept - I DON"T HAVE TO UPDATE EVERYTHING AT THE SAME TIME?!?

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Not full controls over every aspect of every component - need to "discover" attributes or funcitonality, or hack it myself.
Minor glitches in selecting objects, copying & pasting.
Documentation is being updated, kinda barebones rn. There are definitely best practices that should be talked about more!
Someone mentioned breakpoints in the code would be nice - agreed.
I do wish there was a way to "package" my code for a self-hosted deployement elsewhere. Like I can "BAKE" the app, then give it away to someone else to actually set up and use.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's SUPER EASY TO INTEGRATE EXSTING DATA (I'm using Airtable)... I truly can't belive it.

  ### 15. Intuitive and efficient app deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

I like the easiness of navigation between apps
Love the number of options to customize and app
Fast deployment process due to simple integrations
Git plug-in is incredibly useful
Customer support is prompt and helpful

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

The least helpful thing in UI bakery is the settings for specific users, could be wonderful to have multiple settings more available for visibility of data in apps

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves having to deploy apps fast and with a simple, digestible design for our end users.

  ### 16. An excellent, underrated player in the no-code world!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric W. | IT Director, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Features are well implemented, well documented and, most importantly, work as described. Template library is robust and data source options are simple and easy to setup, configure, and modify.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Would love to see more complete external JavaScript library support, they are supported but the 3 I tried for my last project were all incompatible for unknown reasons. Also would be nice to have a little better method and features for creating an API or Query Data Source and referencing the endpoints within, currently a fair amount of coding has to be repeated in each "Action."

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating disparate systems, providing consolidated resources and references, and eliminating costly and clunky single-purpose solutions.

  ### 17. My new favorite way to test software concepts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camilo Francisco H. | Backend AI Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

I use it daily to prototype any software ideas i have. I think its very intuitive and simple to build amazing features for internal use. Its also very easy to integrate with my own API's in case any integrations dont exist yet.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Sometimes I dont agree with some of the suggested features and enforced UI functionality

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its hard to build a quick frontend functionality for stakeholders to envision how new software and processes will be used.

  ### 18. Together with the best development engineers！

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 龍樹 . | CFO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

It is possible to construct a UI almost exactly as planned using the various modules provided as standard.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Implementing the code is difficult at first. However, the AI support is wonderful

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The low-code development of the management table for the firebase RealTimeDatabase, which takes a long timeEven with a shortage of developers, all the basic functions could be implemented, and since the actual work for the initial prototyping of the service could be done without the developers' work, it became possible to request development after it had been refined to a certain extent. to implement, was completed by the planner alone.

  ### 19. Great Tool for Rapid UI Development

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

UI Bakery offers an intuitive drag-and-drop interface that significantly speeds up UI development. It allows non-technical users to create functional and polished interfaces, which is great for teams without dedicated front-end developers. It is very easy to use and get up to speed quickly.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

While UI Bakery is great for rapid prototyping, there could be more customization options available for advanced use cases. Some features are a bit limited if you're looking for deep customizations or more complex UI logic.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI Bakery solves the problem of time-consuming and complex front-end development by providing an easy-to-use platform for creating functional UIs without needing deep coding knowledge. This benefits me by speeding up the development process, reducing reliance on dedicated front-end developers, and enabling faster iteration on product features.

  ### 20. The most time-saving and efficient UI framework

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Astrid G. | Data Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

The feature I like the most about UI Bakery is its convenience when it comes to building an app that could have taken days in hours. Me and my team are able to respond to requests in a timely manner and present our costumers a visually appealing and intuitive interface that they can use immediately. The idea to product process is extremely easy, and we have been able to contact the support team with ideas that were implemented in following versions. We use UI Bakery daily and we have never faced a blocker or problem that would not let us move forward with our integrations.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

I somewhat dislike that some charcteristics of the components are not really customizable and the grid can make some components not fit like I would like them to.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI Bakery solves the issue of versioning our products and allows us to answer to requests in a timely manner. Our users are able to give feedback and we can implement those changes immediately.

  ### 21. Great Experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle P. | Developer Junior, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

We have adopted UI Bakery for the management of all our immigrations cases in our company, and I can confidently say we are happy with it. The app lets us create anything we want in a manner very highly adaptable. We have made different types of reports and the best thing is you wouldn't face any problem while creating reports. I found UI Bakery very intuitive when I started with it! Everything works not have to long to understand, besides, customer service is highly efficient. Whenever I have an issue, they do everything possible to assist me, which is really important. The features and components are very helpful and easy to use and implement. In our company we use it everyday and we're very satisfied with this amazing tool. Also, you can integrate almost anything easily.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

While the basic features are intuitive, some of the more advanced functionalities might require additional time or support. Also, some users may experience occasional performance lags, especially with larger datasets.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI Bakery has really made app development fast and easy for us, starting from the design to the building of an app. One of the main features is that it completely eliminates the necessity of coding, and with such an intuitive interface, not only those who are directly connected to programming can use this platform but also team members who are non-technical. Among other features, its ease of use has sped up our workflow by enabling us to build and change things fast, without bottlenecks that are often involved in more traditional development cycles. This means we have saved a lot of time and money as we no longer need to persistently reach out to coders every time we want some alteration. In addition to this proactiveness, the ability to prototype, design and launch features in one platform has also increased our team productivity because for one thing our designers would be working within the system that developers built (even if featuring is not fully implemented) so we could start delivering prototypes sooner.

  ### 22. Awesome and powerful tool to quickly get a system up and running

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

- It's fairly easy to get started with the basics when implementing
- Even though it's fairly easy to get started, it is very powerful with a lot of flexible features, so if you have the skills you can create something fairly comprehensively
- I have used the AI Assistant quite a lot when working on complex SQL queries or actions, and I would say 8/10 times it has been useful and come up with at least 90% of a solution
- The free plan still has the majority of features that anyone would ever have to use
- Error messages are clear and point to the location of the issue quite well
- OOTB theme on free plan is decent and quite pleasing on the eye (and more importantly, feel modern)
- Plenty of useful components, but the ability to write your own custom components means that the components system is pretty powerful
- Seems a lot more comprehensive and intuitive than it's rivals (I tried several before settling on UI Bakery)

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

- The AI wasn't brilliant when it came to debugging, had to do a lot of manual prompts to get to a point where it understood what I was asking
- The database doesn't allow too many concurrent users (at least in the free plan), causing me to have to rewrite actions in a different way where sql queries are ran sequentially rather than concurrently. This leads to a slightly slower load time, even on a simpler application.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using this to develop a personal family finance application. Initially will be used by myself and my family to see what works and what doesn't. However, this is more of a prototype and will eventually be looking at developing a consumer application for families that want to control their finances in one place.

  ### 23. UI Bakery is really a game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryl E. | IT HelpDesk Technician and Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Performance, scalability, API connections are pretty straightforward, easy to develop and it's learning curve.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Sometimes loading times are a bit slow depending on the amount of data being loaded in a table.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First and foremost, UI Bakery has helped us with a scalability and data integrity we've had for so long, we went from using several spreadsheets for a single department, to code and use on single application for each department, which improved our response time to clients and internal services, as well as having the exact information we need regardless of new changes or additions done to one application. All this led to great customer reviews to us and we were capable to take on more tasks for the same amount of time. Truly a game changer!

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

We've been using UI Bakery for several years to automate our operations. We started with small apps, but now we have critical internal systems fully implemented with this platform. The ability to achieve results quickly is a standout feature. While it appears simple initially, it's incredibly powerful and flexible. Everything we wanted to build was possible with UI Bakery.

The team behind UI Bakery is exceptional. They are always responsive and helpful, ensuring any issues or questions are addressed promptly. This level of support has made our experience very positive.

The platform’s robust capabilities combined with excellent customer service have made UI Bakery an indispensable tool for our development needs. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to streamline their operations and improve productivity.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

One thing we would like to see is the addition of more components and easier customization options. Having the ability to organize apps into folders would also be a great improvement.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a relatively small company that needed an ERP system, but buying and adapting one would be too expensive and time-consuming. Plus, we'd have to change our processes to fit the system.
With UI Bakery, we could quickly build software around our existing processes. It saves us money and time, and we don’t need extensive coding. This flexibility and speed have really boosted our productivity and made our operations much smoother.

  ### 29. For a self hosted low code ui builder it is very good. Fanastic support.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn J. | Technical Lead Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Very good support. We are not specialist in web development and UI creation so support is crucial.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

It is often difficult to find the feature I'm looking for. The UI is primarily focused on the desktop and more focus on mobile would be nice.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is saving us time on building a self hosted UI.

  ### 30. Great experience using UI bakery to create customer solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin H. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

We needed a platform to help a customer recognize their vision for a quoting and order entry system. The goal to have a system that worked internally and then have a basic function portal for their customers to get pricing, place orders and track orders without having to go through traditional channels. The client had mutliple softwares and wanted to use some of our technology. UI Bakery made it easy for us to use a rapid development environment for a common look and UX for the users but integrate software that we had already written running in the background. UI Bakery team is fast in coming out with new features, their customer/tech support is very responsive. We are a small business and our client a small business and a team of 3 (2 developers, 1 tester user) came up up with a full working system in 3 months for the internal and expect to have customer portal working soon. It was real easy to roll out new features and run in parralell with the legacy system to verify we were getting correct results.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

I have no dislikes of UI Bakery, some feedback I get from the developers is they have to learn a few ways to make things work "The UI Bakery" way and there were some concerns about scaling and the code beig used but the UI Bakery team is improving all the time and we haven't met a roadblock that stopped us from doing what we needed to achieve.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an easy to adminster program to roll out to users both internally and externally to the company.

  ### 31. App-deployment easy and fast with good support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max G. | Web- and software-developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

The on-prem version is very easy to install on a server and the same goes for its maintenance. Once its set up, building applications is fast, as you just drag 'n drop all the elements you need, configure them, hook up your database in some clicks and write some javascript/python actions to handle your data.

When my company asks me to deploy an internal application, it mostly doesn't take more than 2 days to completely set it up. The most time I spend on UI Bakery is with maintenance of code, fixing bugs and keeping everything in check after updates. And oh boy do you get updates.

The UI Bakery team works fast and brings continiously new features or integrations, which mostly derive from their feedback site, where everyone can suggest their ideas. The same goes for the support team, it helped me numerous times before, fast at that, and will still in the future.
Something doesn't quite work from the implementation of UI Bakery itself? The support operator will directly exchange with the developers and provide constructive feedback.

Overall, a product that is very enjoyable to use.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

One thing that is somewhat limiting, is that the python code runs in a closed environment and only has some selected "safe" modules. You still can just run it on a server and exchange the data with the HTTP API, but directly on the app would be faster. BUT, just 1-2 week after asking about the python modules, they emailed me that they'll now add the modules I needed.

Also for some components I wish for more settings and adjustments, which, to be fair, can mostly be customly done and if not they will very likely add it if suggested.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't need to spend a lot of time developing each app, because the components rarely need custom style adjustments and most of what I have to code is about handling the data.

  ### 32. Best Low Code Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nabil M. | Executive Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Its simplicity and power make our work so much easier. We can quickly gather requirements and instantly show live examples, cutting down on the usual back-and-forth.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

A few features like connecting to Views on MySQL

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed and simplicity of development.

What I love most is the ability to collaborate in real-time with our business users. We can co-create prototypes on the spot, making sure everyone is aligned and happy with the direction. And when it’s time to deploy, UI Bakery makes the process seamless—no headaches, just results. The product has been designed meticulously to cater to minute user requirements and we are not limited by its capability when we have clear ideas of business requirements, data models and UI designs. Any new member joining the team can pick it up in less than a week due to the ease and intuitiveness of the way features are set up.

In short, UI Bakery has transformed how we work. It’s a must-have for any team looking to boost productivity and streamline development.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stane K. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

While I was using some RAD tools for many years before UI Bakery is for me an environment which alows me to continue with my way of thinking and to use latest technologies including WEB, API-s, .....

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

For now it is very helpfull. There are some things which could be better and faster (in Android WEB it is pretty slow). While I am pretty new and I still learn and didnn't studdy all the posibilities, it is hard to tell. I miss some smal things (counters on loop, begin and end of table, ...) . Improvements in documentation and tutorials will be very welcome specialy for beginers.
While we are small country our internal market is not big so Enterprise plan is very expensive for our company but we wiil be glad tu use all the fitures (Git, ...) to have posilbilities as big ones. Maybe some plan in between will be usefull?

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solving internal processes and connect different environments to one platform . We want to have unique platform for our internal processes.

  ### 37. Very capable and flexible CRUD App builder with superb customer service.

**Reviewed by:** Diego B. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

Their support is really good.. even though they operate on a different time zone, thery are very diligent and prone to help fix any issue or bug. They also have a wide componend library to use many data sources options and cutomizable code.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

For bigger applications it can sometimes get laggy but thery are constantly improving performance and scalability.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to deply fast and capable software for both our internal and external operations with limited budget. They allowed us to do so in record time, saving over 1 year of development and without the need of a big team. 2 people were able to achieve a completly functional and complex product ready for production.

  ### 38. Best low code tool for internal apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kay V. | Principal Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

After a comparison of 3 tools we decided to go with UI Bakery. After a short learning phase of 2-3 weeks we was able to create complex internal apps with database and API access. Today we use more than 5 different solutions and every of them has growing functionalities. The service is excellent and fast, even if the problem not is directly reasonable at UI Bakery's side. It is easy to integrate and the on-prem solution is very useful for security sensible customers.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

No disadvanteges appeared in the first 1,5 years of use.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 40. The best option on the market in terms of price, quality, and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eugen S. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

On-prem version, extensive components, custom code, excellent support

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Some features missing, but custom code helps

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to build a system with a public form for users to submit requests and an internal system for administrators to process them. Thus, two systems were required: one public and one for internal use. We also needed an on-premise version of Bakery.

Bakery met our needs excellently with its extensive features, ready-made components, and custom code integration. I particularly appreciated the AI-driven documentation, which helps find answers to less obvious questions. Overall, I am grateful for the support team’s responses and valuable implementation advice.

  ### 41. Powerful tool to create internal tools

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

UI Bakery is really powerful and allows you to connect to just about anything.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

I found the interface a bit more confusing than other similar tools.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI Bakery is helping us with some internal tools that we did not want to built entirely custom.

  ### 42. Essential integration for our day-to-day operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew D. | Ecommerce Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

The platform is easy to use, with the correct skill level, and is an essential part of our day-to-day operations which integrates with other systems of ours. It is also very reasonably priced.

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

Connection can sometimes time out which sometimes causes errors but it is easy enough to fix and also may be a localised issue to us.

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue of certain products not going through our API channel which is then needed for all invoicing purposes. Without the integration it would add more labour hours to our process

  ### 43. Easy to use

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

  ### 44. Perfect balance of user-friendliness & advanced, powerful functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grant K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2024

**What do you like best about UI Bakery?**

The app somehow blends ease of use with extremlely powerful functionality and customization. This tool has empowered our technology-proficient staff (non-programmers) to build very powerful and useful applications. The entire experience of building tools on this platform is oddly fun and satisfying.

We also leverage their managed on-prem hosting. This provides us the increased security, control, and features of on-prem (e.g., SSO), without having to worry about the overhead of maintaining additional Azure/AWS resources.

Additionally, support is extremely responsive and helpful. They provided a custom Slack channel and provide near instant support anytime we need it.

Our current integrations include MySQL (via AWS RDS) and SSO (via Azure AD).

**What do you dislike about UI Bakery?**

With the current pricing model, its rather expensive to add additional "end-user roles" if you need to granularly adjust permissions across different user groups.

Note: Admins & Application Editors roles are included by default, this is only applicable if you need to differentiate access among end-users

**What problems is UI Bakery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool allows us to quickly, efficiently, and affordably develop & deploy interactive tools to interact with data we have across multiple systems.

  ### 45. Great experience, fast learning curve, I am eager to dive deep and find out more

Nothing - mostly I feel like the limitations are on my end rather than on UI Bakery's side.
