The interface is very simple. The overall system is ultra smooth. All the peripherals are supported out of box as well as the drivers are in working condition. It is easy to integrate with server side applications such as nodeJS and Docker. The customer support is awesome as there is very large community for this operating system. Few packges were outdated but they can easily be updated using snap and apt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Ubuntu for the reasons listed below.
1. Port use for the Linux kernel.
2. Cron jobs simplify tasks.
3. The SNAP and APT managers are quite helpful,
4. Real-time patch updates offer a bug-free user experience.
5. Because Linux is a kernel, making little adjustments can be useful.
6. A tidy and orderly interface.
7. Flexible command-line software.
8. The sudo command, which demands administrative rights.
9. The use of processing power.
10. Port use for the Linux kernel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the bullet points below while running Ubuntu.
1. No support for running directX files is available.
2. Support for Vulcan drivers is likewise limited by architecture.
3. It will be challenging to play Windows games.
4. A small community compared to its competitors.
5. A bit more flexibility in customization would have been nice.
6. There is no fingerprint driver for HP laptops. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It gives more control to user, then it's competitor like windows or Mac OS, with well exposed kernal, command line, and the best part is security, it is safe from Trojans and viruses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some times there are issues with the drivers like for audio, or if you want to connect a printer, windows and mac handle those well, also it has very less games support as compared to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

what is an LTS version, which means it has much greater support for updates than non-LTS versions and good stability for production Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
that it is already several years old and although it is LTS, some software not properly tested may not be in the official repositories Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ubuntu 18 is the most widely used operating system because of its performance, we use this version, and it comes with revolutionary features, and it has more power than the old version; with the help OS this version, we can do better development for the project, version 18 is fundamental so that not used too much memory from our system, so that's why it give more performance to our work and help our team to fast development Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ubuntu 18 does not come with too many bugs. I think it has some dependency issues. That's it. We never face too many problems with version 18, and it is amicable, so I can say that I like ubuntu 18 and also recommend it to others, and now we have converted to 22.04 for the latest feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a small web agency offering our clients hosting solutions purely as a convenience, our margins are very small. Being a free OS Ubuntu is a great option for us, that's not only free but also rock solid and relatively secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Certain aspects can be a little difficult to setup and administer but then it is a complex solution and shouldn't be taken on by a non-experienced person when it is being used as a server open to the outside world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that's it's free but still pretty secure version of Linux OS. It's also available on cloud platforms easily. Great alternative to Windows and MacOS if you know how Linux works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I heard the end of support for this version is coming soon. It's not the light weight version of Linux. It takes more time to install this version of Linux vs Ubuntu 20 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I first started using Ubuntu on my laptop with Ubuntu 18 version. It was so easy to use and light weight OS of all. I was facing many issues with windows earlier as my laptop is really slow to use then I shifted to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. After that my laptop is so fast and no lags at all. So I really recommend Ubuntu for any people who are facing laptop slowness issues. Also it's easy to shift from windows to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS without any data loss. It also boots up faster than any other OS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only drawback with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is it doesn't have some of the softwares that are available on windows. So to work any of those softwares we don't have any way to use it on Ubuntu 18.04
It would be better if Ubuntu can make something like Windows virtual server to use windows softwares as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked the clean and compact use case for the OS and how it has improved the search tray Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
