## Twitter Ads Reviews
  ### 1. Great for Brand Awareness, Lacking (so far) In Lead Generation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael A. | Vice President Product Marketing, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Twitter makes it pretty simple to promote a tweet or create specific types of campaigns (like lead generation cards). Very nicely designed interface.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Lead generation cards don't seem to produce quality results for our marketing efforts. They also take quite a long time to run thru their budget.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brand awareness via promoted tweets and lead generations from lead cards. We've had a lot of engagement and views from a brand awareness perspective.

  ### 2. Quick & Effective, but Sometimes Unpredictable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike L. | Manager, Strategy & Analysis, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

As an analyst, I love having the option to export all of the data quickly and easily so that I can manipulate it and add in my custom calculations/metrics that are our client's KPIs for success. Additionally, it's great to be able to adjust date ranges as well as drill down into specific campaigns/ad sets so that a campaign or a particular activation can be judged more accurately. Often, it's important that I'm able to break out individual campaigns rather than just aggregating everything up.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

While the point and click interface is fairly friendly and easy to understand and exports are very quick for raw data, reporting fields over the past year or so have changed frequently. For instance, media views/media engagements and favorites/likes have changed multiple times without any advanced notification from Twitter, making integrating exports directly into my own workbooks a laborious task several times per year.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quite often, we're using spend metrics and engagement metrics to measure the effectiveness and cost efficiency of an advertising campaign across multiple clients for whom we have the social business. Not only are we able to do this on a campaign level across an entire year, but also week to week, or even creative to creative. From this, we can advise the client on where we're succeeding, what types of targeting are most effective, and where we should go next to get the most out of our social investment.

  ### 3. Running ads campaigns for my company and others

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I like the analytics portion of Twitter Ads as you are running a campaign. You can gain a holistic view of what is happening by audience, area, etc. throughout the life of the campaign. Additionally, it is easy to setup a campaign in no time.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

There are inconsistent ways to add different settings with campaigns across the different types of campaigns. There are also bugs with campaign displays and settings. Additionally, there are quite a few bugs that need fixed.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Make sure that you can do what you need within the ads campaign. Also make sure that you understand the targeting criteria and how that works. Overall, it has really solid results and usability.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing customized campaigns for different groups and customers. Able to define specific targeting dependent on each use case.

  ### 4. Social Media Coordinator

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittnee M. | Social Media Community Strategist, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I like the fact that I can see analytics and keyword targeting which is not on Facebook. You can target against events. Real-time is key.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

It is more expensive to put ads on twitter and it's harder to get location based results.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a brand, using it to get the world out about the products and conversating with consumers. Benefits is definitely real time.

  ### 5. Use Twitter has an ad platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quentin H. | Senior Digital Ad Operations Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Twitter allows you to get in front of the target audience that is engaged in the content they are consuming. Twitter users tend to go on for information and news.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

At times ads on Twitter seem to blend into the content and it's tough to decipher what is an ad vs a post.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Be sure that your demo that you are trying to reach are Twitter users, it's definitely a good alternative to Facebook

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Twitter has an alternative to Facebook

  ### 6. Intuitive but clunky

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc J. | Senior Search Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

The one stop set up for campaigns, targeting and ad copy/tweets. The set up is really easy, but can take some getting used to if you're familiar with Facebook advertising.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

The biggest challenge is qaing URLs and ad copy in the creatives tab. You have to go into each campaign to QA, which can take some time. Additionally the image sizes are not standard and require additional work to fit into the Twitter specs.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to reach a new audience and have the ability on Twitter. There's no age target, which is big, but through other targeting, we can hopefully reach that audience and promote engagement.

  ### 7. Twitter Cards integration with newsletters

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I've used this product for setting up Twitter Cards which allow Twitter users to automatically submit their email to a third-party list. It was easy to set-up on Twitter's end although the process was a little harder because of the software that was receiving the data from Twitter.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

The subdomain to get to Twitter Ads is a bit confusing, especially if you're dealing with multiple accounts - organization vs user accounts, but this is a fairly trivial dislike.

Better integration with third-party services would be nice too.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

If you want to use Twitter Cards, there's nothing else you can use aside from Twitter Ads and the process is not too bad.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting our Twitter audience to submit a form without having to fill out a form.

  ### 8. Mixed Results

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cam G. | Marketing Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

It's fairly easy to create new ads. Analytics dashboard works well and makes it easy to show non-users how your campaigns are performing at a glance.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Our conversion rate was fairly low for the ads we did push out, it seemed like we would continuously drop in CTR until we changed the ad creative. Not sure if that is an algorithmic thing or not.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Change your ad creative regularly. This was one of the few things that we noticed helped in driving our CTR & impressions.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Driving site traffic and on-site conversions. We saw very mixed results, partially due to our audience, and partially due to the platform.

  ### 9. Exciting, rapidly developing platform for social ads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I like the flexibility and immediacy that Twitter Ads offers, particularly for 'big' campaigns around specific brands or hashtags.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Twitter doesn't have as much data on its users as, say, Facebook or Google, and that can limit targeting opportunities. However, targeting by interest, geography, language, and the like can still provide great results—it can just require a bit more fine-tuning than for comparable campaigns on other platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Time and money costs for setting up a small Twitter Ads campaign are low, especially if you start your campaign with a free trial. If Twitter is a platform your target audience(s) are active on, consider giving it a try!

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing and executing paid social media campaigns on behalf of clients across the nonprofit, for-profit, and political sectors.

  ### 10. Great for driving engagement and followers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Really good and explanatory for driving more engagement and followers on my Twitter account

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

I wish it was cheaper... sigh. Not much I can do there

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Check it out for sure, thought Facebook might give a higher ROI

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drives more followers to my account which helps with my sway on social media.

  ### 11. Amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Can reach international markets with a small price, great for advertising on a large scale.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Poeple can easily dismiss the ads when they want to (especially on mobile)

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Please be aware that anyone can dismiss the ads, and because of this it can limit the reach of the advertisement.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That it's a lot easier to advertise using social media and multimedia such as twitter.

  ### 12. Fantastic!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Twitter ads is able to reach a wide audience across social media. There are a lot of options in terms of advertising but twitter ads was the more effective and cheap option.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Ads are easily dismissed through the mobile platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Like I mentioned before it is cost effective and you can gain interest and a wide audience from this.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing

  ### 13. Great service but has its quirks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I like the ability to target specific customers or similar customers based on email list. The targeting is great and it really gives you visibility to understand what your users interests are outside of the products you are offering.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

I do not like how you do not have the ability to convert a tweet from showing on your timeline after it is posted. You have to decide before you launch the paid tweet if you only want it to be promoted or you want it to be both promoted and showing on your timeline.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Make sure you understand your target

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to get a better understanding of users that have interest into our products.

  ### 14. Easy to use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Ease of use- easy to add tweets and put in budget, designate budget per ad, etc.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Not a lot of space! Wish you could have a photo and an ad, and also be able to tag others without being cut off by the character limit.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can be more expensive to reach target audience than other social networks like Facebook, but it gives us another platform to reach our audience.

  ### 15. Twitter Marketing Advertising Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer B. | Owner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Ease of use, I like the targeting features that it has but it could be better.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

lack of in depth targeting of interests and behaviors.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Good platform for driving traffic, cost is cheaper than adwords but not as low or as targeted as Facebook.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping customers to drive traffic to their website to ultimately lead to more conversions.

  ### 16. Not sure the time spent is worth it

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I like being able to advertise on the platform.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Not sure if the platform speaks to our core users anymore. It seems like Twitter may not be the best use of advertising dollars.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching new customers.

  ### 17. Clunky system and poor targeting

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben S. | Campaigns Marketing Manager, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

One click data capture is a really good option if you're looking for lead generation and have a wide enough customer base to overcome the weak targeting options.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Basic functionality like location targeting is far too clunky unless you are targeting a broad region. Targeting a radius around your business is so simply with google and facebook and yet twitter seem to make it overly difficult. Basic targeting options like age are missing. For such a big company whose only income comes from ads you would expect them to have put much more effort into capturing extra data and providing more advanced targeting.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Useful for general brand awareness if you are comparing with broadcast options but a long way behind google and facebook in terms of targeting and functionality.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped us reach a broad audience fairly cheaply

  ### 18. A long way to go

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

It's a unique platform, reaching users looking for information on the spot.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

The platform is simple but cumbersome, clunky and lacks advanced capabilities.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

You have to hold their support team by the hand. Their system is clunky, but it can work and generate conversions. Does not do well with MTA.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capitalizing on real-time demand for our target audience.

  ### 19. Great for Restaurant Reservations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

The Ad Setup is fairly painless and Twiiter Cards are really easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

I cannot fine tune my audience as well as other Social platforms.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm helping get restaurant reservations and have noticed an uptick since using Twitter Ads.

  ### 20. Best Method for Native Twitter Ads

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Ease of use and Tweet scheduling capabilities

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Inability to preview Tweets that feature GIFs

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Reach out to your Twitter rep to take full advantage of features.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Planned content publishing, community management, real-time social coverage

  ### 21. Great - easy to use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I like the targeting options, ease of use, options for creative and how the data is presented in the dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

I wish the targeting for gender and interests were more accurate.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To reach more people and engage with new audiences.

  ### 22. Easy to use but a limited ad platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

The ability to target based on a person's demographics, behaviour and personality.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

The lack of age targeting and limited advertising products compared to Facebook.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Be really specific with your targeting and have a good understanding of your target market. Trial with a smaller budget initially

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advertising online to wider audience. but at the moment we have not seen enough value from twitter as an ad platform.

  ### 23. Less expensive, more to love.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Senior Web Developer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Simplicity of the program and placement.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Lack of reach and lack of instruction. The platform needs to give you more instruction up front.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Prepare for the lack of reach and the need to compensate.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Low-cost advertising solution.
Better user acquisition rate.

  ### 24. Easy to use, still not mature enough to fully assess

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sari A. | Cofounder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Ease of use, ease of promoting existing tweets. And the "card" feature is pretty neat.
The integrated email sign-up feature is great.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Conversion numbers are relatively lower than other avenue. Since relatively new, not clear if it's the platform itself or users still not engaged with promoted tweets.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Consider using the "cards" feature and test with the different CTA's available

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good branding exercise, showing brand announcements through impressions on Twitter has worked well

  ### 25. Super easy for social media managers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany B. | Digital Content Supervisor, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

It's extremely quick and easy to set up, even for someone who's never set up any type of advertising campaign. A Twitter ads campaign was my first foray into paid social, or any type of online advertising. And I think it only took me 15 minutes to set up initially, spending another 10 minutes or so every day the campaign ran to look at results and try to further optimize the campaign.

I also got great results in terms of the quality and value of followers we received from the promoted accounts campaign. They were exactly the type of audience we were trying to reach, to the point that some of the accounts were also on a list of people we were interested in reaching out to.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

I can't really think of anything I disliked, though I ran the campaign over a year ago, so my memory of the dashboard isn't perfect anymore.

I think I remember downloading the report spreadsheet, and it including a lot of data that wasn't really necessary for us to look at, given our goals and how we ran the campaign. It would have been nice to be able to customize what metrics we were downloading in the report. But there may have been a way to do that that I didn't see, since I was new to the dashboard.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Shortly after signing up, you'll probably get an email from a Twitter ads account rep offering help and advice on running your campaign. Definitely take them up on that. Our account rep really helped me understand the platform better and gave me a lot of optimization tips that improved the ad's performance almost immediately.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our goal for Twitter ads was to try to earn followers that better fit into our buyer personas. We targeted the ad based on other accounts they followed, choosing accounts of industry blogs and publications, competitors, and influencers.

  ### 26. Great for event, webinar, and conference marketing.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabel H. | Head Of Marketing, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I really like being able to target by keywords. People are constantly searching for things on Twitter, and being able to target those keywords depending on my audience is super helpful.

I also like being able to target by different users. This allows me to expand the reach of influencer marketing. For example if my audience is similar to Pepsi's, I can target similar followers to theirs.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Twitter runs through my budget very quickly and it's hard to space it out based on a specific time of day.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

It's a good platform to test on. I would say it's great for B2C brands and to target large audiences at a rapid pace.

Try the different targeting functionality and the leads cards are a great source for lead generation as well!

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me an expanded reach and

  ### 27. Native and easy way to manage pay ads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

As a stand alone that works parallel with the account, Twitter ads make posting, managing assets, budgets, and do everything that is campaign related much easier

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

There are still rules and limitations on what assets can be uploaded (size, format).

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing big campaigns and seeing what is performing right or wrong is very important. Twitter ads lets you see in a very simple way how the add is performing which helps with creative and targeting direction

  ### 28. Twitter Ads review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I enjoy Twitter Ads because of the type of targeting you can do. I like that you can target specific followers of different accounts and also your past website visitors. We promote tweets and our account to those visitors and they are the most qualified followers for us. I also enjoy the fact that you can add multiple mediums to your posts including pictures and other forms of customization. In addition, I like how easy they make it to target content to followers of similar accounts you are going after. This makes it that much easier to gauge who else to add, remove, etc.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

I wish you could get more detailed data on results. For example, it tells you how many followers you got from a certain campaign but it won't tell you who those people are. I'd like to see that. It would help me determine which campaign is sending better leads my way.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

I'd definitely recommend adding a pixel to your site so that you can promote content to past visitors. They are already looking for you and know who you are, does it get any better than that?

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to persuade retailers that shipping by a certain method is in their better interest than by what many are using currently. Spreading knowledge is a key part of this. Much of what we do is promote gated content on our site and Twitter has sent significant traffic our way as well who follow through and download the content ultimately.

  ### 29. Catching up with Facebook Ads effectiveness

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Artyom D. | Head of Branded Content, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

It provides one of the shortest period between an ad campaign creating and its ads actual exposure to targeted audience. It allows an advertiser to reach out very specific audience segments and deliver a message in a timely manner. Its Lead Generation Cards solution allows to capture leads on the fly, it's really effective tool.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Running long duration campaigns show low efficiency (comparing with FB Ads). Twitter Mobile App Install ADs are pretty expensive : CPI ~$5...7 per mobile app install, the platform doesn't suit for as many various topics / people's interests as Facebook Ads does.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We reach our targeted audience for a specific mobile app (either iOS or Android).

  ### 30. Great platform, but can cause trouble in calculations down the road

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2015

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

The platform really enables easy switches between an paid media mindset and a content marketing mindset. The ability to schedule tweets and generally use all the features of Twitter within the ads management platform means the creative juices don't shut off just because you go into "campaign mode." Plus, it makes it easy if paid digital and content management are not handled by the same employee.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

The reporting makes it difficult to find a combined CPM for all (paid and organic) impressions. This is not a big deal during the day-to-day use, but when it comes time for year end reporting you will be doing some pivot-table work to filter out lines in twitters data that show only paid impressions from those that show both paid and organic. This is actually the result of a desired feature (as some campaigns are the "boosting" of real tweets where it makes sense to give a combined CPM, and some are paid only) but it does cause a pickle that requires math in certain situations. Not a big hiccup, but I am just throwing in a warning about it.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Just know that the main thing you will be lacking is targeting capabilities. That is to say, really only "discovery" tools for targeting. They are there, but they are weak compared to paid products. This won't matter, however, if you know the client's space well enough to know who should be targeted without discovery software then you should be good to go!

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Twitter's ads platform is constantly being improved. I would honestly say it is the best platform for managing ads on twitter (even better than paid). Obviously there are more powerful tools for targeting campaigns, but in terms of execution and day-to-day use, Twitter has created and excellent free offering. That should really be the operative word when exploring other products. Will it be better (for a price) than what Twitter is offering for free?

  ### 31. Does the job, could be better

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert C. | Senior Analyst | Digital Media, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2015

  ### 33. Twitter ads offer an innovative process and results

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

I loved the process when I first set up twitter ads. They ask you what your objective is, who is your target audience, how much your willing to spend, etc. These questions, although basic, are immensely helpful in positioning your ads and getting the attention of the people you are targeting. In addition, there are no contracts -- you can start and stop whenever you want, which is great. You literally pay for what you are putting out there. The ads are also very interactive.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Sometimes I found the ads to be irrelevant (for example, the ads were not matched up with the correct key words so my target audience may not have seen it); in addition, the ads are a bit dense and can seem confusing to the user.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

I would definitely recommend Twitter ads to anyone who is trying to get a product or service out there. I would recommend that users take advantage of the interactivity that Twitter ads affords and put in links, videos, photos etc to grab more attention.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am attempting to market a product, and the benefit of Twitter, first and foremost, is that you get a LOT of visibility. People not only use twitter, but they check twitter more than once, throughout the day. This gives you a lot of opportunity to get the people's attention that you are targeting.

**What do you like best about Twitter Ads?**

Social integration is good and insights into short term trends is great. Personally, I have seen better ROI generation compared to Facebook Ads. Also, there is a smaller chance of false reviews from competitors clogging business performance in the small business environment.

**What do you dislike about Twitter Ads?**

Limited visibility and user interactions. Not a lot of feedback opportunities from consumers unless they tweet about an issue. Lacks good video integration which is a must have for some businesses online. Should be coupled with YouTube advertising for better results with tangible products.

**Recommendations to others considering Twitter Ads:**

Better ROI than Facebook plus integration of trends. Would be good if there was a better integration of video streams.

**What problems is Twitter Ads solving and how is that benefiting you?**
