**What do you like best about Twilio?**

what we like about twilio is that it allows us to use Whatsapp web without the need for a phone, which is quite useful if you need to use 2 whatsapp accounts, have one on your phone and one on the PC, or simply if you need to use whatsapp without involving a phone which helps us in our email marketing campaigns to easily manage our accounts in one place

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

We have not had major problems with twilio, but if we had to mention it is that the number for WhatsApp is the one assigned by twilio, you cannot place your own, just choose from a list of 3 or 4 that they give you to choose, in addition, you must have certain notions of programming to understand the operation well, which hinders the learning curve

We are currently using Twilio API to send messages through WhatsApp to manage our company account and do email marketing.

  ### 18. Innovative Application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel A. | Software Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Without a doubt, Twilio is by far the best existing platform for the development of new technologies and for communication in general. I like it because its service is useful, comfortable, easy to use (once you adapt to the system) and very safe. I like the diversity of ways I have to write a code in Twilio, thanks to that I can make it much more personalized and thus handle calls in an optimal way. I love the diversity of options available for connectivity and that is that Twilio has a stable connection, no matter if the internet is slow or poor or if you connect from mobile devices, the connection is always stable. One of the best things about this platform is that you can program the voice function separately and in turn you can leave a record of it. Another thing I love about this system is that it can directly involve SIP trunk within the Twilio platform. It is one of the most avant-garde and innovative platforms that exists, in fact it is one of the only ones that gives you so many services grouped into one and the quality of the service cannot be questioned. The best thing about this service is that it provides me with the best tools to make my work the best.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Twilio is one of the best platforms for development and communications, however their technical support service is the worst, I have required on several occasions this service and is disappointing, it takes about 3 days to meet your requirement and solve more than a week.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

excellent innovative application and easy to use, does not require a good internet connection to work and its options are very professional, the design is excellent and lightweight.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Twilio has helped me grow as a developer, and that's something I really appreciate.

  ### 19. excellent, very complete tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edgar S. | Business Secretary, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

In my opinion Twilio is the best and most complete platform that exists to establish and develop communications in the cloud, that's what I like most about the service. This platform is really useful because it has absolutely everything you need for both incoming and outgoing communications, you can even renew existing local PBX systems when you log in, this helps me to better employ the capabilities of the service in the cloud, and I really believe it is the only platform that offers this kind of services so complete. Based on my experience I like Twilio because it is the best option to program directly in the cloud, since you can expand the development as you want because it is compatible with many programming languages, among the most prominent are Ruby, PHP, Perl and Java. I love the design of the platform is excellent, very compact and eye-catching, its interface as such is very simple to use, its operation is quite intuitive. I prefer Twilio over other platforms because it provides me with the highest quality tools for developing communications.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Honestly, if there is one thing I don't like about Twilio is its technical support service and that is that this service is really very deficient and especially slow, I've had several times technical problems with the platform and I've resorted to the service I've waited for their answers for up to three days and solving it is another major problem, I've come to wait up to a week for them to solve the problems, it's very deficient.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

one of the best applications that I've tested, is excellent for communicating with people remotely, I recommend it

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This service has helped me a lot thanks to the fact that it has improved communication enormously in my company, it is a great program.

  ### 20. The most reliable sms and voice API.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wale E. | Software Engineer., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I like the simplicity with which I have successfully integrated multiple mobile and web based applications with the Twilio API.
Personally from my experience, I think Twilio is fairly priced and I must commend the prompt nature of its support team ; I get responses to my queries within 24 hours.
The prompt delivery of sms and voice calls to global mobile numbers is almost flawless and the speed is commendable. Finally, I like that I can successfully monitor the delivery status of every sms sent by my Applications using Twilio.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

I have got reservations about the character restriction on sms sent through Twilio. The 160 character limitation is sometimes inadequate, most especially during occasions when we have used Twilio to deliver marketing messages via sms.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Twilio primarily for 2FA (two factor authentication). Twilio has led to a major reduction in spam registrations on apps. I build.

  ### 21. Awesome tool for voice calling and IVR/VOIP transfers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma N. | Sales Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Twilio enables the user to send SMS and make and receive voice calls through the APIs which are super easy to integrate, and both the SMS and the voice calls can be sent on any local, and I believe international phone number that is bought with the required services applied there. At the same time, Twilio can provide phone numbers that are masked for making voice calls. In regards to voice prompts, they are very easy to set up and change for both IVR and Automated calls. Easy to get up and running with a short time span and I believe that the pricing is very competitive.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

I haven't run into any shortcomings with Twilio yet. We are actively working on adding more IVRs and do more VOIP calls that are going through the Twilio platform, but so far we've not faced any issues. And in regards to texting and SMS, sometimes there might be a network delay causing customers and partners to be receiving the texts later than planned and expected, this has happened to us only on the rarest occasions.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

From SMS recordings to phone recordings, IVR, automated phone calls and everything in the phone spectre this tool is great to use!

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Twilio as part of our SaaS enterprise business application to do voice signature/ gather consent via an automated call, do short polling via voice and get consent via text message.

  ### 22. If you're a cloud application developer, you will love Twilio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I love the fact that Twilio offers every type of cloud communication available via their extensive list of well-documented APIs. Building applications with Twilio accelerates development by removing the guesswork, learning curve, etc, so you can get down to building right away.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Although comprehensive and well-documented, there can be an initial learning curve for new developers. However, it's pretty simple to understand how their APIs work.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Take the time to learn TwiML, Twilio's markup language, and follow their getting started tutorials to get familiar with how their APIs are structured. Trust me, you'll love it!

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Twilio Voice to allow users to call into a client's e-learning application. Recently I used Twilio Voice within another video collaboration tool.

  ### 23. My experience with Twilio

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukesh L. | Techniccal Lead, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Twilio REST Api is easy to implement in voice and messaging application. It's a reliable and secure API - we can use this with credentials (Account id and token). Allows us customize the sms and voice response as per project requirement. For text formatting we don't need to write custom code - Api handles this country wise automatically.
Messages tracking is quick and easy.
SMS automation is pretty simple with Twilio.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Twilio API processes more than 100+ message per second, this number count still good enough.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We implemented the functionality of programmable phone calls and text message.
Sending outage related notifications to customers.

  ### 24. Very, very hard to fault

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed S. | Full Stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Twilio feels well-developed and polished. The web interface is feature rich and its services are just about without fault. Customer service is actually really good too. They just tick all the boxes. The most understated feature is the well-written docs. The documentation is good enough that in over 2 years I have never had to contact support for anything I couldn't figure out how to do from reading the documentation.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

The single issue I have is that for non-mainstream and large-country numbers, the prices for numbers can be prohibitively high. I don't hold it against them because I just use them for numbers which are advantageously priced and look elsewhere for numbers that I think the price is too high for.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Genuinely hard to find an issue.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Powers our international's PBX lines. We also rely on it for sending automated SMS messages that secure services and apps that we run.

  ### 25. compatibility with programming languages

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel A. | Design Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I've been using Twilio for a while now and based on your experience I can say that it is the best platform that exists for the development of technologies, I particularly love this platform. I mainly like that I can have a United States phone number and be residing abroad, that sincerely is very useful for me, I am fascinated that I can use it in a normal way, ie send text messages, receive and make calls, that has grown my business exponentially, because I can connect with all my customers exponentially and I have never had any major problems with the service. I like it because I can develop in different programming languages, mainly Ruby, PHP, Perl and Java, although I must say that it is compatible with almost all programming languages; I also like the easy integration with Python and node.js. I find it super useful that the Twilio tutorials found on the platform help you to make everything easier, on a personal level they helped me a lot, the guides are very easy to understand so starting with Twilio was extremely simple.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

In my experience Twilio has only one defect, it's not a big deal but if it's quite unpleasant and it's the technical support service, it's the personified slowness, recently I had a problem with the platform and went to the service, the heavy part of it was that I had to wait 3 days for the problem to be solved, that's a long time.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

very good tool with which you can program also in variso languages immediately, is very complete

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Twilio has helped me to grow in my company, thanks to his services I can expand the work field, he has given me experience and my quality of life has improved.

  ### 26. The design of twilio is amazing.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martinle P. | Business Secretary, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I love Twilio because it is the most complete and extensive platform that exists in the whole Internet to establish communications in the cloud. I like it because it has absolutely everything you need for incoming and outgoing communications, I like it because when you start you can renew existing local PBX systems, and it uses its capabilities literally in the cloud. It should also be mentioned that the opportunities with Twilio are the best because you can expand your development as you want since it is compatible with Ruby, PHP, Perl, Java and many others. Twilio is the best option for cloud programming. I like it because it has introductory tutorials for programmers who are just getting started. I like the platform because it has an incredible design, is super easy to use and has the best tools you can count on.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

I do not like that when you have problems with the platform the customer service is really very slow, in fact the problem I had with the platform I had to solve it through tutorials on the Internet, since average customer service takes at least 3 days to give you an effective response to the problem. If it is like system improvement, then I must also say that the initial configuration of the system is very confusing, I really had a hard time understanding it, I think that the system tutorials are a bit deficient, it would be excellent to improve them, because as mentioned earlier I always have to google to get a solution to my problems with the platform and I think it is not ideal.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

I recommend twilio for its excellent use and compatibility with other programs, apart from the quality options it offers to the user.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we started using Twilio in my company, things have changed positively with customers, thanks to the integration of telephone and messaging systems.

  ### 27. SMS: The solution you may be looking for

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando Q. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I love about Twilio that you can send text messages to people you have on your database in such an easy way, it's API let's you customize pretty much anything you want.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

I think it is kinda expensive and sometimes it is not as good as it should be, it says that it removes any symbol on phone numbers you want to text but it actually doesn't and then it doesn't send the SMS.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Read the documentation first so you can understand the tools it gives you and the different ways to use it.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm sending text messages to people who submit a form on my website, which is amazing because people actually read SMS most of the time, contrary to emails which they ignore.

  ### 28. Twilio is a great tool for tracking ROI of marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

We love the price, the ability to have multiple phone numbers to track our advertising is simply invaluable. Twilio is simply the best tool we have come across for our needs, there is a reason why people talk so highly about this product. We have been users for almost 3 years now, and its worth every penny we spend.

I am constantly recommending this product to my peers, in fact I should probably be getting referral income!!!

We will continue to use this product because it does exactly what we need it to do. The administration area is also a nice neat place to check data!

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Our developers complain about the lack of support from Twilio, but this is a minor complaint....overall there isn't much of negatives with the company or the product. Besides this we cant really think of any other negatives, the twilio system is complex so you may need someone technically inclined.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

We would absolutely recommend to anyone who has a use for advertising tracking or just a simple forwarding phone for business purposes.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking advertising on multiple channels, giving us a more professional look. new customer acquisition and more. Having a 800 number is also a huge benefit, with out paying the crazy fees other companies charge.

  ### 29. Twilio is an advanced SMS platform!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabell R. | Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Offers many services (SMS, Video, Voice, Chat, Fax) with API integrations available. I also like "insights" to track the flow of your messaging.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

The learning curve is about 1-2 weeks if you're coming from a simpler platform like Connections.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with customers over SMS.

  ### 30. Your communications system, everywhere!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Q. | Support Services Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Twilio is a very extensive and comprehensive communications platform in the cloud. It has literally everything you need to start a company's inbound and outbound communications system from absolutely zero, or to revamp an existing local PBX system to use Cloud-based capabilities. What I absolutely love from Twilio is the enormous expansion possibilities that it has via programming (it supports Ruby, PHP, Perl and Java, among others), and for the non-initiated the "Getting Started" tutorials are just perfect to get a go in hours, not days.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

There are so many useful and powerful features in Twilio that there is really not much to dislike; however, since everything has a margin for improvements, I'd add "Twilio Softphones", that can be deployed to endpoints (or remotely via email or other means) already preprogrammed with the required SIP domain authentication values. Currently, for SIP, each customer needs to provide their own softphonn software and program them by hand. That feature would be absolutely the best addition to top an already excellent communications suite!

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Definitely go for it! Even if you internally use an on-premises PBX solution such as Asterisk or Cisco you can easily integrate it with Twilio via SIP Trunking and take advantage of the huge quantity of communication capabilities it provides! And it even provides you with a free Trial account (phone number included!) for you to experiment and evaluate it, so it's a no-lose scenario.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our entire communications infrastructure is in Twilio. We previously had a mixture of several providers (both Cloud and on-premises) for that, but with Twilio we consolidated inbound and outbound telephony, SMS campaigns, IVR capabilities, call recording and customizable extensions, and even integration with our CRM platform.

  ### 31. Twilio is cheap but has some problems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Best thing about Twilio is the ability to buy and remove numbers in a flash... the good is that the cost is cheap to buy the numbers but costly to use them.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

The biggest complaint we had and which is why we left this company is because spam callers actually cost us money. Every time we got spam calls we were charged if they left a message!!! Some left 4 min messages playing songs and there was no way to avoid not getting charged as we had our number forwarded which I assume most clients do.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

I’d stay away just out recommendation after using twilio for 2 years

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to track
Our marketing efforts with phone tracking and long distance 800 numbers

  ### 32. Great for multiple phone numbers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Currently not a user of twilio any longer but I found the best features of having the service were the ability to generate unique phone numbers which we used for different states and different area codes

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

When we had technical difficulties which was quite often because the service can be quite complicated if you’re not very tech savvy... it was difficult to get support and they would direct us to articles or faqs which were not exactly helpful

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Id recommend to consider trying this product if you need to track a lot marketing spent in different areas

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi-phone number tracking and marketing for sales

  ### 33. Using Twilio for IVR and SMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John F. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

The Java API is easy to use and they seem to keep it updated and continue to expand it. It's easy to spin up new features quickly, and the webhooks/reporting on message results are solid.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

The cost is a bit higher than other competitors. This can add up at higher message volume.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

I would definitely consider Twilio as a strong candidate for any messaging projects. I think of them as an industry leader and the are constantly adding more value to their offering. If price is your main concern... take a look at the competition. But if you need something rock solid for mission-critical messaging... I don't think you can go wrong with Twilio. And since their API is easy to use and available in a number of different coding languages, the cost of spinning up you solution should be low - and can probably be done in house.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using their phone system to create an IVR for incoming calls, and their SMS products to send a) individual system notifications and b) marketing emails on behalf of clients.

  ### 34. Twillo is easy to integrate with web and app.

  ### 35. Twilio is great for us and creating a lot of phone numbers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Easy to add phone numbers on the fly, we love the 800 feature for our other dental related business ventures we use for e-commerce purposes.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Fees can add up quickly if you remove and add phone numbers often. Other than that we love the software the user interface is great, it can get a little
Complex at time but customer service is great.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Very solid Application, I have and do recommend to all my peers and friends

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phone tracking and 800 number usage

  ### 36. Great potential with some setbacks

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Very easy to pick up and learn, with great capabilitiesGreat

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

To fully get the best out of Twilio, a knowledgeable development team should be at the helm of the project.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer self serve, phone system intergration

  ### 37. Rich API makes SMS and Voice Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

The easy to follow and implement API and documentation got me up and running very quickly. I spent more time writing code that I understood the first time instead of googling and copy/pasting from Stack Exchange.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

While the API is rich, you end up having to sort all the deficiencies by yourself. I ended up having to make my own connections to things like Dropbox because there's no official linking between them.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Twilio is not basic software for basic users. To get the most out of Twilio, you will need coding support to bring your ideas to life. The documentation and help available can help an intermediate-level user implement a basic system, but if this is your first time working with XML or PHP your results may vary.

It has also been my experience that the longer you use Twilio the more comfortable you'll become with the feature-set and the more you'll be able to accomplish. My second project was far more complex that my first project and my third more than my second. Once you grasp the concepts of their API, building off of it is easy.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Twilio to create rich user experiences at customer events so they can easy send questions or pictures to our team or to interact using pre-defined keywords to trigger specific behaviors. Twilio made it easy for our program support team to create a fun and rich interaction experience that spoke to our values as a company .

  ### 38. Twillio + phone tracking = success

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Newspapers | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

It’s very easy to add and remove numbers from the system. It’s got the guts to do complicated things like text message tracking and multiple phone tracking.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Getting help from support is sometimes difficult and we knew that going in but it got to the point where we decided to leave.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Other better options out there in the area

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phone and text message tracking for advertising efforts

  ### 39. Texting and Phone Call Alerting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Twilio has been a reliable service for all of our alerting needs. The price is fairly in line with competitors. We generally use Twilio as a backup service to another provider.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

The pricing for Twilio services isn't always as good as some of the other competitors.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Twilio is a solid and reliable product at a cost point not much higher than some of the competiton. We use them as a backup solution to a potentially lesser reliable product only for the cost savings.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Twilio for sending out text alerts and phone call notifications for our custom software solution in the home healthcare field.

  ### 40. Useful for texting at higher education institution

  ### 41. Great company, great services and awesome dev community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel G. | CEO & Co-Founder, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2019

- Services are very reliable
- API documentation is very good
- Support response times are quick
- Pricing is competitive
- Great dev community and events
- Call quality is very good

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

- Too many new products and fewer new features for existing ones
- Admin dashboard is overwhelming at times
- They could do more with their Speech API's

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Twilo as our main provider of our int. calling business. They give us the flexibility to offer very competitive prices and services.

  ### 42. Cut the cord on your desk phone

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon M. | Sales Development Representative , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I find it very helpful to be able to make calls right in Salesforce Lightning. I stay more productive and on task when I can jump from lead to lead. The sound quality is great and I rarely have issues when making calls. I have never had a dropped cal which is nice.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

I don't have many dislikes about this product. Occasionally I will break up a little on the call where the lead has a hard time hearing me but it almost immediately clears itself up.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

It's a great product that can be integrated with Salesforce. If you are looking for a product to improve your all in one solution, then this is it.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving productiviy problems we might have had before. Instead of having to dial the number on a cell phone or office phone, we are able to just click and dial from Salesforce. This has saved me a bunch of time. It may not seem like a lot but it sure adds up over time.

  ### 43. Twilio for Work From Home Moms Globally

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 🏃‍♀️ Liz W. | President & CEO, Wholesale, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I love that I am currently living abroad but I have a US based number that I can use to call, text and receive calls and texts through Twilio to grow my business and connect with all of my clients.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

The initial set up was a bit confusing but thanks to the free set up tutorial and the online chat service it was up and running in less than one hour!

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Definitely recommend if you need a service to make/receive texts and calls, no matter where you are in the world for a very affordable and reliable price and service and support!

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm living abroad but building my business back in North America by having a US number routed to my European phone which makes it easy and has zero cost for my clients to text/call me when they need something or want to set up a meeting.

  ### 44. Awesome tool for many telephony options!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I love Twilio's flexibility...so many ways to write custom code for handling call flows, and it gives us multiple options for phone connectivity too: on the one side, we're using the Elastic SIP Trunking as a SIP trunk for our PBX, and we are also separately are trying out the Programmable Voice feature that lets us register endpoints (like Polycom desk phones) directly to Twilio without a SIP trunk involved. Twilio can do much more that we haven't even explored yet, and it really feels like they're growing fast with more and more new features and are on the cutting edge of innovation.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

There's so much that Twilio can do, but their collection of example code and tutorials is very difficult to find your way around, at least for me personally. Most of the time I have to resort to Google searching to try to pinpoint the specific tutorial or example of a given topic, since it's not very clear to me how to work my way through the tutorial sub-site internally.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Twilio allows apps to be written in most major programming languages, so as long as you have a programmer or team of programmers, no matter what language, you ought to be able to build some great apps and call flows!

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started using Twilio specifically for its ability to handle SMS/MMS/messaging that we could integrate into our customer's existing phone system. Twilio has a great amount of flexibility with writing custom apps for handling phone numbers, so we can have separate handling for incoming voice calls versus incoming text messages to the same phone number.

  ### 45. You get what you need easy and fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I like the way Twilio manage versions of the products, it's awsome.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Console it's getting bigger, in my opinion will be better if it is more clear

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

The platform is excellent and the APIs are the easiest to adopt. My recommendation is to test the different APIs, they will check that the development times for a proof of concept are minimal.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scale I think it's the most important problem that Twilio solve.

  ### 46. Consistent product that is easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul K. | Project Specialist, Religious Institutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Their help center makes it easy to get set up. And their technical support is quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

I wish they provided a shared short code that could be used for simple word combinations.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Integrates well with variety of platforms.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Submissions of feedback during live presentations. And account verification.

  ### 47. Good product to use for SMS and calling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

Twilio is widely used product for SMS and voice calling from your website/software. It also supporting sms with media for incoming and outgoing sms as well.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Not showing proper logs for sms with media.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using twilio for text messaging and voice calling.

  ### 48. Not worth the time and effort

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth H. | Tech Documentation Specialist I, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

None of it. This has been one of the worst experiences.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

Call drops frequently. Goes under maintenance frequently. Texting API requires knowledge of coding to build out a full automated menu system with zero instructions on how to get there.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

Don't get this product.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have this as an integrated texting service for a CRM, and it hasn't solved any needs, only increased our issues.

  ### 49. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ismael O. | Software Developer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

i think the best is the easy option to use twilio from my app, and the multiple option for languages, i use PHP and the integration is good. the option to manage the call over the browser i think is the best because i dont need have a phisical phone to manage the calls, and i can have 1-100 answer the call, only need a computer and internet this is a perfect soluction.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

I am from Mexico and is difficult to use option for sms or mms, some documentation for the API with PHP have error in the code. the option to manage the log calls i think need more options for filter because some time need filter from city or for duration or cost, with the api is ok, but with the dashboard on the site twilio is very limited the filters.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

More examples in the documentation for the SDK for PHP and Ruby. maybe review some examples because has some errors in the code. take care to manage the Credentials to make safe.

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

reset password from cell phone with a voice call, and send information about schedule or status form some services. a option for automatic responder from a SMS is the first use we have for twilio. the manage a IVR for a better routing for the calls is very nice, i like have a local operator but with a better option to manage.

  ### 50. Lead developer of a contact center

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel P. | Information Technology Specialist 3, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Twilio?**

I work with C#, so I like the old restful api where you can create the Twilio Rest client and then use intelisense to discover all the additional functionality without looking at the docs. The different examples that exist in the api documentation is wonderful that you can look at code from many different languages and compare the implementations.

**What do you dislike about Twilio?**

That the twilio rest client was removed in favor of the static classes. Additionally the fact that the twilio enums are not actually enums but your own custom class. When you compare the enums with == it fails and must be .ToString()'d before it will actually compare correctly. Very frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Twilio:**

The product is costly, but worth the effort. Consider using the tutorials that twilio provides for learning and quickly setting up the product. Also the SMS features are pretty cool

**What problems is Twilio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We replaced a Cisco based call center with a Twilio inhouse built solution. This has allowed us to track the metrics of calls and the results of calls much better. The call center is for Student Financial Aid at our university and the ability to track repeat issues by looking up previous contacts in our database has greatly improved the customer service we can provide.
