What do you like best about TVEyes?

TVeyes allows you to have "eyes" out in public all the time to know when relevant content is airing on television across the country. It's very versatile and easy enough that we've had short term interns come in and learn it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

I wish there was a feature where you could also send your saved clip to someone else-- I also wish we could do longer than 10 mins chunks when cutting and that we could find live tv easier to cut in the moment. It's very difficult to navigate the exact live moment sometimes. I've been using TVEyes more frequently for live events and I wish there was a clearer way to navigate that. What do you like best about TVEyes?

TV Eyes is a valuable tool in our marketing portfolio. It enables us to track mentions regarding our venue and upcoming events that we can then share with event promoters. Promoters are extremely appreciative to see the added value that our venue can bring to their event as a result of our in-house marketing and promotions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

It does take some training to fully learn how to best utilize the TV Eyes services. I'm guilty of needing to get better acquainted with the TV eyes program and better utilize their search features to get the most out of my subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

TV Eyes allows me to keep track of brief mentions our University gets on local television, which are things I'd otherwise not have any access to; this is critical for knowing when media picks up and uses our written outreach. It also tracks and finds clips from other parts of the country, which has led to some nice finds and mentions we'd otherwise never know about. Most importantly, it allows me to capture video when it can't be found elsewhere on the Internet. Many times, outlets do news pieces that are difficult or impossible to find on their websites, where many still are not very good and diligent at posting things in ways that are comprehensive and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

My only complaint would that they occasionally do not track a certain outlet that I need. However, they will take requests and add outlets if they are able. I do think, also, their transcription ability sometimes needs improvement -- you risk not being able to find some things if it's not accurate. However, if you set up multiple search terms, that can often fix the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

The most helpful thing is that it pulls broadcast clips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

It's such an old interface. It feels like I'm operating something out of the 1990s. The functionality is too basic (not in a good way). It's analog and everything feels like, one or two steps too long. The reports are hard to pull and the saved searches don't make sense to me. I hate the way that I have to watch every single clip that is pulled and then edit them all to only capture the part my client is mentioned in. It's okay if there are one or two clips but when I'm pulling 10+ it is incredibly time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

The Fort Osage School District has used TVEyes for several years. The platform helps us to not only track stories that may air on TV, but also to assign a value to those stories. In a time where staffing and budgets are tight, it is an important tool to help us review our efforts to put stories out though our local media. For stories that include our students, it is also great to be able to share the stories with them internally so they can see their efforts. Not all of our families would have access to local news and not all stories get posted to social media so being able to show the students is a great asset. TVEyes emails with storeis as they air has made the product easy to use. We have not had any issues or needed the customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

The downside that we have found with TVEyes is the search feature not always being as accurate as we would like. Finding just the right key words to pull a story can sometime be tricky. We have gotten much better over the years at making sure key terms are used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

I like that I can access and edit exact media clips as I want them and can download them in a timely manner. I appreciate that I can download not just the clip but the entire media package (transcripts, etc). Great for documenting where your SMEs are featured in broadcast television. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

Search terms can be tricky and results may not pop up even when you know the term or name is part of the story. It does not appear possible that I can clip national broadcast media clips which is a deficit. Spanish-language TV hits are almost impossible to find. And it would be much more convenient if clips were available beyond the 30-day limit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

TVEyes makes it rather simple to track my university's mentions on TV and then download the clip, so I can share it with our stakeholders, students and outside partners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

There hjave been a few occasions when TVEyes hasn't picked up a mention of my university when I know it appeared on TV, including the channel and time. At the same time, on occasion, the clip to download from TVEyes will have a blip, so the sound cuts out for a second and a word or two will get cut out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

I like using the Power Search function as it allows me to search a brand or event within certain date parameters, allowing searchability across a wide array of broadcast outlets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

Sometimes the brand or company is not picked up within the notifications, when we know that it was mentioned, and we need to watch the newscast to find the mention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

It does pretty much exactly what I want it to do in terms of sourcing the clips I want and making them easy to clip, download, and save. Its user interface is uncomplicated and makes the process easy. Downloading reports is fairly simple. Overall it is a good system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

The interface is extremely outdated looking. I don't mind, actually I like, that there are not a ton of bells and whistles to it. You see, you clip, you download. -perfect. It just looks like it was programmed in 1995 and some of the programming methods could be updated so I don't have to have 3 different tabs open at once.

I also wish that in the space where you can generate reports/searches, there were some more functional space to type the search criteria. Maybe this could mean having a coding box or booleen space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

TV Eyes is so easy to use and provides SO MUCH valuable information. You can set up searches for your company, a specific name, or specific topics so that you can monitor broadcast coverage for your company overall or for a specific campaign. It's great for big and small companies and is really helpful for evaluating your earned media coverage in the broadcast space, which can get pricey when trying to use other companies to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

When it comes to the analytics, you can only view the ratings (number of viewers) and value per media hit. It would be great to be able to have overall numbers from multiple pieces of coverage, like across an entire campaign, a whole month or even a year, so see more "big picture" numbers and analytics. That is the only feature I feel like I'm missing out of at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
