## TVEyes Reviews
 ### 1. Super useful tool for PR professionals and journalists!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love how detailed the platform is! It provides analytics about the different broadcast clips and makes sure to include syndications. TV Eyes has a feature no other platform has in its market right now; the ability to download the clips!

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

User interface is not beginner friendly and UX could use some updating.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to access Broadcast inclusions with ease while having analytical breakdowns of each of the broadcast clips.

 ### 2. TV Eyes Fan

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I enjoy how easy it is to find clips, both based on time/day or content search.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I think the platform looks slightly dated.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us access clips from TV newscasts.

 ### 3. Great source for Broadcast monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TVEyes makes it easy to search, edit and share clips.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I'd love to be able to tag clips as a group vs having to do this individually.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves time searching for clips, as you can set alerts and have them pushed to your inbox. It also allows you to share clips with clients if the outlet doesn't post on its website and easily pull audience data.

 ### 4. Really happy with the service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Polina L. | VP Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TV segment coverage and ability to quickly find our brand mention!

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Interface could be more user friendly and easier to navigate

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps identify my brand's presence in the landscape

 ### 5. TV eyes review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

What's most helpful is the ability to power search during a date, time and market, along with specific station to help catch all of our hits

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Some smaller stations are not tracked, including simulcasts on digital and over the air stations, along with limited radio options.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us track media across multiple TV markets and helping coordinate and track the value of our team's work.

 ### 6. Overall I have had a good experience with TVEyes

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love the ease of clipping broadcast mentions.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Wish there was a less counterintuitive way to organize clips

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earned media is always tough to show impact/value. Before TVEyes - when I would send out a press release - unless something was posted digitally - I had to guess that it may have made it to broadcast. Now I can guarantee what mentions are taking lace.

 ### 7. Valuable Resource

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I have utlized TV Eyes as a critical compenent of our daily media tracking. It's a resource we lean on heavily to track our effectiveness. Being able to create reports and share the results is always appreciated by clients.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Continued expansion of the number of channels/stations it tracks.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking coverage outside of our market. Allows us to track the full impact of our announcements.

 ### 8. It's be very helpful. There are a lot of videos that I would not have seen if it wasn't for TVEyes.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

It's easy, quick and I like that you can search not just your local market by nationally as well.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

It's hard to delete schools with similar names across the country. You receive a lot of emails that don't pertain to you. I know you can fix that, but it's a lot of work to go in and correct. I wish TVEyes would set up all of my schools for me.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's benefited to see how many viewers we are pulling in with our local and national media. The numbers help my bosses to see that having a communication person in place is vital.

 ### 9. Good customer service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I appreciate how helpful my rep is. This allows me to track coverage for my clients, which is a great benefit to them and their sponsors.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Sometimes, the viewership numbers are inaccurate.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TV Eyes is helping some of my clients show sponsors their ROI in terms of earned broadcast media. TVEyes also helps me identify opportunities for clients to offer comment on national news stories.

 ### 10. Saves Time and Great for General Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

You're missing out if you've been using a Google Alert to find local television coverage of your brand. TV Eyes is a great system to alert you to brand and sub-brand mentions in tv news. The system is easy to use and shares a daily newsletter with previous mentions. We also use Meltwater, which is a great addition to ensure we get the full picture of our local coverage.

I appreciate the connection to other monitoring platforms such as Meltwater.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

It is a bit delayed, likely because it verifies mentions with closed captioning and then has a process to verify brand and sub-brand mentions. I don't mind that it isn't 100 percent accurate, we've gotten some very brief updates (one sentence or less and off-hand comment mentions).

You have run your report monthly or you lose the data and can't go back without a lot of effort. Do not forget to add this to your workflow or you'll be disappointed.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, TV Eyes is sharing the updates and brand mentions across local tv news. It keeps us up to date on brand and sub-brand mentions even if the station didn't call to verify any information with us directly. I've appreciated the integration with Meltwater for better overall reporting.

 ### 11. TV Eyes Finds All our Mentions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I like the daily emails so I never miss a mention

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

A lot of duplicate mentions are aggregated

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking media mentions

 ### 12. Good product for seeing what's out there and used by local stations.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

Good search tool, which could be improved on, but still able to find what we're looking for.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Sometimes too many results, but isn't that what we want anyway? There is also no current way to UPDATE a search to better hone in on what one is searching for...

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to see our products in use by our clients.

 ### 13. Vice President Enrollment & Marketing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly W. | Vice President Enrollment &Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

It allows us to quickly find out tv hits and that of our competitors. I like that it emails me automatically too in all of this. I can't imagine living without it now. The company's customer service is good. The free trial offer impressed me from the beginning. Once I got used to having it, I did not want to let it go. It has saved us a lot of time pulling PR reports together.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I don't really have anything negative to say.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a PR person. This saves us and him a lot of time pulling together all of our coverage when something hits.

 ### 14. Optimal, Affordable Broadcast Monitoring Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nancy T. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TVEyes has truly transformed the way we approach media monitoring. As someone who needs to stay on top of broadcast mentions and media coverage, TVEyes has been an invaluable tool in our arsenal. The platform's real-time tracking and extensive reach across global broadcast outlets ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.

One of the standout features is the ease of use. The intuitive interface makes it simple to search for keywords, track mentions, and analyze data without getting bogged down in complexity. Whether you're looking for specific news segments or need a comprehensive report, TVEyes delivers with precision and speed.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

When TVEyes is not able to get permission to monitor outlets, such as Fox News, one has to find other sources.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TVEyes solves the problem of tracking and monitoring broadcast media in real-time. For businesses, PR professionals, and media analysts, keeping up with mentions and coverage across television and radio can be incredibly challenging, especially given the vast number of channels and broadcasts worldwide. Without a reliable tool, it would be nearly impossible to efficiently locate and review specific segments relevant to their interests or needs.

 ### 15. Comprehensive Broadcast Collection, but Antiquated Application

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah V. | Public Relations & Communications Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I'm almost always able to find, edit + save clips for clients. This has proven to be essential for our PR work - our team uses it daily!
Appreciate the alert function on watch terms, so we can edit + save clips in a timely manner
Grouping similar clips in reports for clients and teams
Assorted search functions (Date/Time; Power Search) to find specific clips - especially if our current watch terms don't capture it
Customer service team has always been helpful and gave us a personalized training.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I wish the platform wasn't so antiquated. It definitely gets the job done, but can feel clunky at times.
The complicated and different search query formats (+/- in the Advanced watch term vs. the "and"/"or" in the Power Search) you have to use between the different search functions.
No visualization components for reports.
No sentiment or tone tracking/coding
Because of the antiquated set up of the tool, it's hard to integrate it with our other monitoring and reporting services. Which I hate, because oftentimes, TVeyes catches valable broadcast clips that the other tools don't!

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because no tool is perfect, we use multiple tools to monitor and analyze PR performance. TVEyes is leaps and bounds better (although Cision is a close 2nd) than our other tools at capturing broadcast clips, especially local clips. However, the inability or ease of integration doesn't exist.

 ### 16. The only game in town

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben B. | Chief Experience Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

-Ability to search for keywords,
-wide variety of stations
-estimated viewership and value of placement
-save and download clips
-quickly skip through large time periods and see the screen shot of what I'm looking for.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Let me count the ways!
- Impenetrable interface
-Complete reliance on closed captioning which misses most commercials and has random errors. Why not switch to AI speech to text generation?
- I never knoe
-HQ shelf life is too short
-Modifying a date/time query is frustrating. If you want to search a new time on the same city and station you have to reselect the city and stations.
- the clip editor tool is the only useful multimedia finding section. but it's hard to find. It would be so nice to be able to select a channel and have the clip editor be the default view with an extra input option to select date and time.
-The date and time input is bizantine. Why can't I just use my keyboard to type 1/1/20 tab 18:30 enter to get the date and time I want to review?

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business who places our own ads, we often don't know if our ads are playing currectly or what our sponsorships end up looking like on tv. With TV eyes we are able to check back on these services to make sure they run correctly.

 ### 17. Good service for broadcast monitoring and clips

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate A. F. | Founder, Public Relations and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2018

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I like the ease of the system - typically, it's quite simple to locate the content you're looking for. Also, the data / results reporting in terms of audience measurement is quite valuable. I also appreciate the ability to save clips and access them at any time in the future.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The limited search history, i.e. only being able to find content from a few months prior. The site is fairly easy to use, but it could be modernized, streamlined, and in general a little more user-friendly. Some of the actions aren't easy to complete, unless you've taken a training and understand some of the nuances of the software.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring broadcast media is incredibly difficult, and TVEyes makes it easy to find client content and interviews. The data / audience reporting is extremely valuable and provides hard evidence of reach and impact. I appreciate being able to share tv coverage with my clients, as well as the audience numbers and potential monetary value.

 ### 18. A Comprehensive Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie H. | P, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love that TV Eyes organizes all of our TV and radio mentions in a clear, easy-to-read manner. It's easy to share with staff and the ability to add/delete words to our watchlist helps with covering current trends or concerns.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I wish TV Eyes could cover print news as well, as they are a pleasure to work with and the results are so streamlined/easy to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering TVEyes:**

It's an easy to maneuver product and can be accessed by multiple users. The ability to save files as a video or just share links with non-users allows for flexibility in what is saved vs. shared one time. Customer service is great - my contact is responsive and always available to answer a question if I have one.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our staff is able to see the results of the work they put in each day - results that would not be captured unless they could watch multiple news channels throughout the evening. It positively contributes to employee morale every day.

 ### 19. Upgrade platform makes clipping and reporting much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tracy B. | Media Relations Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TVEyes makes it easy to report to clients audience view and ad value. The clipping process is easy and our team uses TVEyes daily!

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Excited about the new rollout of podcasts and hope in the future they add analytics for even more of them.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping keep clips organized, find clips, and provide accurate reporting to clnets.

 ### 20. Great Service, Does Exactly What It Needs To Do

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew S. | VP, PR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love that it does exactly what needs to be done. It's super simple, and easy.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I do with that it was more modern looking but if it isn't broke don't fix it!

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am finding all TV and Radio clips for my clients, nearly instantly.

 ### 21. Recommend TV Eyes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Political Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I like how easy it is to run wide and narrow searches for TV clips!

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I think the user interface could use some updating visually, but it is effective.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us track down news clips for clients and showcase the neislen ratings.

 ### 22. TV Eyes Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria H. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I like the power search option as it usually has what I am looking for if I know the station. I also appreciate how easy the clip editor is to use.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The platform setup seems a bit old/outdated.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I need to pull segments and know the station I am able to pull them.W

 ### 23. Pretty solid overall

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

There's no other product that I know of that can aggregate TV and radio hits like TVEyes, and it's a gigantic timesaver when needed.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The interface is old, clunky, and very dated.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure that we're able to monitor media for our clients.

 ### 24. helpful when works, annoying when it glitches out

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Executive Office | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

fairly simple to use, fairly reliable platform.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

only one person can be logged in at a time, been dealing with issues with recordings coming out glitchy

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tv eyes provides a simple platform to monitor media for my boss

 ### 25. Great resource, room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brianna W. | Communications Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

TVEyes is a comprehensive resource for capturing mentions of our institution on broadcast channels. The daily media reports help us to stay up to date on all media coverage.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

There is room for improvement in the interface and display of TVEyes. While the data collected is easy to navigate when used as a plugin on things like MuckRuck, the actual TVEyes website could use some updates to be used more easily.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TVEyes helps us catch media mentions that we would otherwise miss, giving us a more comprhensive look at our earned media for analysis.

 ### 26. Critical piece of day-to-day business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan H. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

What I enjoy best about TV eyes are two critical factors: 1) Intuitive user interface, getting up and running and quickly conducting serches requires a very short learning curve. 2) responsiveness of alerts, my alerts let me know in real time when a client has been mentioned or appeared on air.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

I do wish I could add onto or build on existing reports. I have found that I seem to need to re-run reports to account for coverage gaps or additional pick up past the original date.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TV Eyes allows me to showcase for my clients how much coverage we are helping them secure and the context and nature of the media coverage. Being able to provide a full scope of coverage via reports and also share realtime clips from broadcast media has a significant impact on client relationships.

 ### 27. Convenient Way to Get Valuable Clips.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2023

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

Being able to create a variety of types of reports.
Being able to set date ranges for reports is helpful.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The way the save clips to a report isn't intuitive.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It captures media we might otherwise miss.

 ### 28. TV Eyes Experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric J. | Public Affairs Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

The best part of TVEyes is the advertising dollar ratings attached to each TV spot it catches. From a PR perspective, it's important to report impact to supervisors on the work you do every day. I also like the Power Search feature, which makes it easy to navigate entries.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The look and feel of TVEyes is oudated, but it gets the job done. Perhaps updating how it looks and functions. Also, some TV stations, like WXOW in La Crosse, WI (which has a split station with WQOW in Eau Claire, WI) , do not provide advertising dollar amounts.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like knowing how and where Western Technical College is being mentioned in media. In PR, it is difficult to measure our efforts. TVEyes allows me to put dollar figures on some of the work we do in PR.

 ### 29. Sophisticated media monitoring suite

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JD A. | Chief Marketing Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I live having the ability to both see the content I have power searched for, and then being able to manipulate that data on Excel.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The user interface can feel a bit outdated and difficult to use at first. Also, there is not a quick way to scrub through videos without clicking the thumbnail or piece of text in the script. This can make it difficult to appreciate the beginning, middle, and end as a single piece of media.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to track our viewership and local media value quickly and accurately, selecting which outlets best represent our target market. The problem is simple: not everything that goes on the local news makes it online. We are able to see what programming has occurred without waiting for a web story to be posted.

 ### 30. Great, affordable platform to track TV and radio coverage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon R. | Communications Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about TVEyes?**

I love the ability to edit and download segments for our internal stakeholders to view, It can be tricky to figure out, but once you do, it's pretty slick.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The reporting feature isn't very visually appealing. It would be nice to the ability to edit the text so it doesn't pull in the broadcast language that isn't relevant to the clip.

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are successful at securing a lot of early morning televsion coverage, but that's not something traditional media monitoring systems always pick up without an "add on" package.

 ### 31. Valuable & Easy to Use

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

Keeps track of media hits and you can track down exact clips

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

The training to understand it isn't quick

Saving clips from TV for our clients. We're able to send to them quickly!

 ### 32. Go-to platform for broadcast monitoring

Easy to use, monitors close captioning for mentions of words, phrases, etc.

**What do you dislike about TVEyes?**

Interface isn't user friendly, can be expensive

**What problems is TVEyes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking for broadcast mentions and clips, as well as AVEs and estimated reach

 ### 33. Great Tool for Finding TV Clips

Great/responsive customer service. Easy searches, multiple ways to search. We have TVEyes integrated with Muck Rack as well. It was super easy to get the two platforms synced up as well.

Finding broadcast and radio clips we wouldn't be able to get (in good quality) otherwise.
