What do you like best about TVEyes?

Support staff is helpful when needing assistance with a query or how to utilize a feature. Transcripts are as good as they can be. Easy to use and I use it weekly if not daily. I like the ability in Power Search to sort the list by state.

I like being able to clip and permanently save links for clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

I don't like that our portal/platform looks like its from the early 2000s. However, I've been into a client's TVEyes account previously and they had a different format and design because of the package they chose. So really, it's a gripe with my agency and not TVEyes.

With the rise in streaming channels related to broadcast channels, the inability to capture that content is a gap. I'm confident TVEyes is working to catch up and integrate those capabilities though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

TVEyes does what it needs to do. I do not have another tool that can do what TV Eyes does which is why we use it. It is simple to use. Sometimes it does not pick up our clips, but it's the best thing we have. I'd say I use it weekly. I have not tried to integrate it into anything. I have never had issues with it, but all contact with TV Eyes employees for contract renewal, etc. has been good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

I would say the friendliness of the platform can be improved. It seems highly outdated. I have been using the platform for five years now and I don't think I have ever noticed a change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

TvEyes is extremely helpful when trying to reach my company's monthly value in news segments. It's simple, easy-to-use format allows me pull segments and save them for later. It has truly been a game-changer when reporting back to EMT. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

The only thing I can say that I dislike about the program is how slow it can run from time to time. It can take a while for the system to pull up and I don't like that only one person from your organization can be logged in at a time. No other dislikes! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

UPDATE 11/12/2024 - I continued to be a fan of TVEyes and regularly recommend it to colleagues. From the daily emails with clip notifications based on my search terms to the ease of searching for clips to the customer support when I'm looking for obscure media sources, TVEyes is a fabulous resource for anyone who needs to collect radio and video clip reports. The analytics available are a great resource for sharing potential reach and ad equivalency.

UPDATE 10/19/23 - After a year of use, I can safely say that TVEyes is a tool that every PR person should have in their tool chest. As I previously noted, I had very quickly been able to use the tool to find relevant TV and radio clips. I have created watch terms for recurring topics and frequently use the Power Search to find 'day of' topics that are being discussed. One thing that I have also made use of over the past year is the Customer Success team. In the rare instance that I was having difficulty finding a clip or if I had a question about an outlet, the TVEyes support team has always responded promptly to either help me find the clip or answer my question. They've been great to work with.

I'm still a relatively new TVEyes user, but in the first couple of months, I've already found the site/service very beneficial. I particularly appreciate the ease with which I can set up search terms and have reports sent to me featuring TV and radio clips with those terms. While the transcription service may still need a little refinement (causing it to miss a search term occasionally), I've found that by using the Power Search, I could find the clips I was looking for. I like being able to narrow down the market and specific stations to refine my search. The editing tool is very user-friendly, making it easy to cut to the vital portion of a report featuring our speaker(s). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

An excellent feature enhancement would be allowing the user to type in the first few letters of the market or station to narrow the search rather than having to scroll through the long list of markets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

I enjoy the unlimited saved searches and the email notification work well. In the last few years they've added a lot more high resolution downloads which is fantastic. Showing executives and employees all of the positive mentions through broadcast makes a large difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

The site feels like it was built in the 90s. The search feature works well enough, but there's opportunity to refine the searches by general topics to see what's happening in the space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

The ease of using the system and the information the service provides are invaluable. And that's aside from the fact that it all ends up in my inbox each day rather than having to visit each media outlet's website and hunt for the clips in the first place. In addition, their customer service is incredibly responsive and always there to assist when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

There is nothing that I dislike about TVEyes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

Being able to capture TV/radio segments that might go unreported otherwise. There are no products out there that can do this. Being able to capture Spanish broadcasts is a huge plus! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

It would be nice to have more visual dashboards for broadcast metrics like Meltwater and Cision for non-broadcast media. Also, it would be good to be able to separate ads from actual segments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

You're missing out if you've been using a Google Alert to find local television coverage of your brand. TV Eyes is a great system to alert you to brand and sub-brand mentions in tv news. The system is easy to use and shares a daily newsletter with previous mentions. We also use Meltwater, which is a great addition to ensure we get the full picture of our local coverage.

I appreciate the connection to other monitoring platforms such as Meltwater. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

It is a bit delayed, likely because it verifies mentions with closed captioning and then has a process to verify brand and sub-brand mentions. I don't mind that it isn't 100 percent accurate, we've gotten some very brief updates (one sentence or less and off-hand comment mentions).

You have run your report monthly or you lose the data and can't go back without a lot of effort. Do not forget to add this to your workflow or you'll be disappointed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

TVEyes is a reliable and easy way to pull broadcast clients for our clients. We appreciate that we are able to search throughout the US and download clips for our tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

Sadly some outlets are not available on TVEyes (i.e. Fox Business). I also wish their was a "download all button" to automatically download all the clips saved into the report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TVEyes?

It allows us to quickly find out tv hits and that of our competitors. I like that it emails me automatically too in all of this. I can't imagine living without it now. The company's customer service is good. The free trial offer impressed me from the beginning. Once I got used to having it, I did not want to let it go. It has saved us a lot of time pulling PR reports together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TVEyes?

I don't really have anything negative to say. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
