  ### 1. Phenomenal Review Generation; Disappointing Adwords Benefit

**What do you like best about Trustpilot?**

We tried Trustpilot Pro for 60 days and generated 94 reviews after sending out about 1,500 email invitations from our customer database. 

**What do you dislike about Trustpilot?**

We initially researched Trustpilot (and their competitors) for the sole purpose of improving click-through rate within Adwords. Google often references a higher performance for ads that feature "seller ratings" and unfortunately we experienced the exact opposite. After a substantial amount of impressions (thousands), our ads *with* seller ratings were clicked less often and costed more.

To be fair, that isn't an aspect that is under Trustpilot's control. But for us, it was the sole purpose of considering their service. We still have a basic membership and intend to use it in the future to generate more reviews.

**Recommendations to others considering Trustpilot:**

If you need to generate reviews and have a healthy list of customer emails to submit, it is very likely you will be pleased with the quantity of reviews.

**What problems is Trustpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a growing company, we needed a central hub to request and display service reviews.

While it's true that ads with Google Seller Ratings receive, on average, about a 10 percent increase in CTR vs. the same ads without those ratings (https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/articles/202216898-Google-and-Trustpilot-FAQ), results cannot be guaranteed. That said, we'd love to give it another shot. If you'd like, please feel free to reach out to your customer success manager. Often times minor tweaks and/or letting your ads run for a longer amount of time lead to the results you're after.

  ### 2. Trying to shoehorn an ecommerce solution into B2B

**What do you like best about Trustpilot?**

Intuitive interface, attentive account managers + support reps, easy to solicit reviews and display rating widgets, Trustpilot easily plugs into Adwords.

**What do you dislike about Trustpilot?**

Solution is very, very much geared towards ecommerce. Seemed like a bit of a mismatch trying to implement for a B2B software company.

**What problems is Trustpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attempting to leverage social proof + customer reviews on website, Despite paying for the solution for a year, the organization failed to implement.

While it's true that Trustpilot has hundreds of thousands of B2C e-commerce customers, we do also serve many B2B companies. In fact, many B2B brands - especially in the software space - look to Trustpilot for validation and credibility of their overall brand. Some also choose to supplement with B2B-specific services, like G2 Crowd!

  ### 3. Not sure yet if TrustPilot is effective...

**What do you like best about Trustpilot?**

From my understanding, TrustPilot is a highly reputable review site and that's why we chose them. I appreciate that they validate every submission and that no one (including the company reviewed) can alter the review. That is what makes is a true unbiased reference tool. It was relatively easy to set up and launch--it took far more time for us to put our list together than it did to set up our template and review page! 

**What do you dislike about Trustpilot?**

You can't edit your template in the settings--you have to edit it once you start the invitation process, which is really inefficient if you simply want to edit the template prior to your emails going out. In addition, we had a number of undeliverable emails and you can't export that list by type. Meaning, you could filter the list of undeliverables by reason, but there are so many reasons that it would be senseless to go through and filter by each one. There should be a global filter and export function so you can see why someone didn't receive the invitation. 

**Recommendations to others considering Trustpilot:**

I think this service is excellent, and has merit. There are a couple of tweaks they could make to be more user-friendly (as mentioned above) but overall I believe in the service and we will continue trying to solicit reviews through TrustPilot.

**What problems is Trustpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to build our awareness and credibility in the marketplace with positive reviews. So far we have had very little response, but I certainly can't say it's TrustPilot's fault--it could very well be our list.

**What do you like best about Trustpilot?**

Easy to implement, integrations with multiple platforms, ratings are indexed by Google.

**What do you dislike about Trustpilot?**

Pricing is super expensive and doesn't make sense for business with high repeat purchase rate.

**What problems is Trustpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to have a third-party review site collect unbiased reviews on our behalf so that we could get a) good customer feedback and b) have a higher rating on our Google Ads.

Some reviews from people who are not genuine customers come through however this is unavoidable on such as large platform.

It's an easy to use platform which can be managed and implemented on a variety of different mediums
