My team needs to moves fast - launching campaigns, gathering data, and personalizing experiences. TrustArc gives us a straightforward framework to make sure all that work respects customer privacy and stays on the rights side of laws.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

It's quite pricey. Getting it to work perfectly with your specific tech stack can take extra effort and customization.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual privacy management is very time consuming. Responding to data requests, auditing cookies etc. - it eats up resources. So we're benefiting from focusing on marketing, not paperwork

That it's been used by a lot of other folks in the industry -- and so it has been vetted to comply with industry best practices.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

It's not really customizable. This is the issue our team ran into this product -- we had really specific requirements that we realized we couldn't execute with this tool.

It's solving the need for fast, out-of-the-box CMP tools that users can quickly scale onto their products.

Easy to use UI for managing what cookies you do and do not want to consent to for a particular website and makes it clear to the user exactly what data will be collected from them. Secondly, their support team are very informative and quick to remedy any issues or change requests.

I'm yet to discover any things I dislike with or downsides to the TrustArc cookie consent manager

TrustArc is a All-In-One Privacy Management Platform, which could be used for all privacy-related requests in organizations, no matter whether the organizations are big or small.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

It is not easily customizable to specific needs. This could be an issue for organizations, which already have privacy officers, who want to customize it to work in specific ways.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my perspective of someone who is using TrustArc on a daily baisis and customizing TrustArc forms and templates, TrustArc is helping me perform my daily tasks by providing a great knowledge base which helps me do my work. This capability was further enhanced by the AI features embeded in the last weeks. It is also a great auditing tool, as it helps see historically finished Assessments.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

TrustArc provides a well recognized privacy certification that is law agnostic and therefore well suited for companies that have a more global footprint and need global recognition which a GDPR Article 42 certification cannot provide. 
The auditors we worked with (Galatée and Kemi) are extraordinate professionals who are very rigorous and professional. 
TrustArc supports also in the communications with the Departmnet of Commerce.

The tool that manages evidence collection is difficult to use and very slow.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc helps us to show our clients and candidates that we have an adequate global privacy management system. It helps us to particiapte in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

TrustArc's strength for me has always been the supreme quality of their research tools. While it may be tempting to go with other organizations that have less expensive research solutions, you lose out on a wealth of resources and quality in the process. The templates and depth of legal analysis just can't be found at competitors (and I've tried them). On top of that, the customer support is hands on and top notch. They want you to succeed!

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

The two big issues I have had over time have been the complexity of the tools to use and the cost. That said, TrustArc has been making great strides in improving in both of these areas over the last few years. We recently opted to launch a new product and the implementation has been so much easier than I recall implementation being for a similar tool a number of years ago that I ended up discontinuing.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc, through it's Privacy Central platform, is helping us to identify gaps in our privacy and AI governance programs where we can better document policies, procedures, and notifications to align with requirements around the world. It's helping us to build our AI Governance program, and helping us to greatly mature our privacy program. In both cases, our end-users are benefitting from more clarity in notices, our staff are  and will be receiving better documented guidance, and the business will therefore more consistently apply requirements.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

Overall, I find TrustArc useful. I really enjoy how easy it is to track action items issued to us, so we can identify any privacy actions that must be taken and when they must be taken. This makes for a clear review with necessary stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

I do find myself getting inundated often with emails from TrustArc, such as when I upload a comment. I do not know how much value a user may get when by receiving an email indicating they uploaded a comment in TrustArc. I also wonder whether the amount of emails sent can be reduced for each assessment.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before TrustArc, I found it difficult to document how we resolved certain action items for assessments, and what questions we received. TrustArc centralizes all this information into one platform, which is quite useful. The biggest obstacle TrustArc has solved remains the documentaion of how action items were closed

I like how easy it was to transition a core workflow within my organization to TrustArc. Sales and support teams were hand-holding me through the entire process. In sum, we deployed the service with no risk to business continuity.

Some folks on the team we worked with were great; very responsive. (Unfortunately that wasn't the case across the board).

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

"Dislike" is probably too strong, but two areas of improvement would be 1) more consistency for how quickly our team would answer questions (our primary account rep was great); sometimes we waited days and had to follow up before we got responses. Even if folks didn't have answers right away, it would be good to know they are working on it. 2) More helpful features in navigating US state laws would be great. I was hoping for an easy-to-digest page on each state law with language suggestions for our privacy notice but nothing really helpful on that front. The reference library did not include language suggestions to meet our basic compliance needs.

Our DPF audit and certification was completed through TrustArc which was very helpful to our cross border transfer needs.

We got our privacy policy updated to the industry standard and in compliance with privacy regulations. TrustArc Counsel helped us expedite the process and made sure that we achieved our goals.

Subscription plans and the expectation alignmients with the relevant stakeholders didn't go well. But at the end, with the amazing customer support we reveived, things eventually turned out well

TrustArc provided us guidance on improving our privacy policy. It eventually help us prove our promise to the users that we handle all the private data as per applicable rules and regulations.

I enjoy how easy it is to start a new assessment inside Trustarc, and how easy it is to provide the information required. Generally the userability of the application is quite simple.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

I think the comments section and sending messages inside trustarc could be easier. Even when an assessment is closed, the comments appear as if they were new.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trustarc provies a single location for any employee to enter a privacy inquiry and get feedback from the privacy team. We are a big company, so having one central source is extremely helpful.

We have completed our TrustArc Privacy Certificate from TrustArc. The team was supportive and the tool was awesome as audits are complicating but trustarc tool makes it way better. Used this tool for 10 months. Easy to implement and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

No SSO was connected hence felt it was less secure. Integration was not connected with 6sense.

TrustArc made 6sense more efficient and compliant with privacy.

Better support from the TrustArc. We need someone who can work along with us to build the custom solution.

TrustArc is able to scan our websites and find as well as catogorize cookies for us by their use -i.e. functional, vs. third-party cookies.

I really like how easy it is to work with them and implement their tools. Their customer service always offers a fast response.

Their implementations are very "choose your own adventure". Sometimes I'd have like more handholding BUT if you ask for it you get it!

Integration with Current Systems: Including TrustArc into current workflows and systems may be difficult, particularly if the company employs a range of platforms and technologies. I've completed the Salesforce connection, and there's a lot of space for additional APIs to update a few items directly.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

The best thing about TrustArc is the customer service. From my first encounter with the sales team to the current support I receive on the products, the customer service is top notch. They also have staff that will help transition existing work into the new system which helps with implementation. They are responsive and helpful. The tools are easy to use and fairly intuitive. The suite of products meets our need for assements, research, and regulatory mapping. We were easily able to integrate TrustArc with our other systems. The TrustArc products are also a great value. Currently we don't have all of the TrustArc tools, but are considering other modules since we are happy with what we have.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

Privacy Central has most of the privacy laws for regulatory and control mapping. However, our privacy program covers some laws that aren't listed in their system. As such, we have to manage some regulations outside of TrustArc. They do take requests to add laws, and usually it is just a matter of time beforee they are entered. It would be nice to be able to add my own laws so I could manage everything in one place. I also wish that they had an incident management tool.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc allowed us to upgrade our  PIA, DPIA and our privacy TPRM assessments. We are using it for control mapping and for regulatory mapping and research.

TrustArc is so incredibly thorough.  We have been working on data privacy for a few years, but the tools provided by TrustArc really guide us to have a complete picture of our data usage.  The onboarding team has been fantastic, meeting with us multiple times and walking us through the different areas of the product.

It's a big commitment.  Also, the options are so overwhelming and when looking for guidance we're often told "it depends on how you want to set it up".  Which is understandable, but also sometimes we just need best practices.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

How easy things can be once that the implementation is done. Depending on your tech stack, once you figure out the path you want to go through to get TrustArc integrated, maintenace is relatively easy.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

Support is not as great as I'd like. I'd like to have a proper Wiki site where I can see how to implement TrustArc is I'm using Angular, React, Vue, plain vanilla JavaScript, Shopify or Google Tag Manager. A Get Started section that allows me to learn how easy could be to integrate it or a playground where I can test Consent Managers to verify configuration. At this point I know tricks like specifying query parameters in the URLs to see how the CM will behave in a given location but I learned that after exchanging several emails with our support representative.

Another thing that I would like is a way for me as a customer to see the configuration of a given Consent Manager. There have been instances where we asked for a given change in a test CM for us to test in stage environments and we are told that the test CM is a replica of Prod just to discover differences during testing that take several emails to clarify with our customer representative. I'd love to have a dashboard to see what feature/settings are enabled in a given CM so I can verify things myself and not just rely on what our support representative says which as I mentioned before, has been proved wrong in the past and represents a waste of time for everyone involved.

TrustArc allows us to be compliant with cookie regulations all over the world. This ultimately give our legal team the opportunity to fight back on lawsuits from individuals that try to take advantage of any gap.

The paid/managed account services for cookie manager were not as "proactive" as I would have hoped. They mostly told me how to do it vs offering to set up or make changes that we needed.
