For those looking for a great product to help you manage your lease accounting workflows and reporting, I can recommend Trullion. We have been working on becoming ASC 842 compliant for a few months now and found it to be unrealistic and quite complex to manage our leases on Excel. From the initial demo call to the onboarding and implementation, we have been very happy with the system. We did have a minor issue with one of our reports that was resolved within a matter of hours thanks to the help of the support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this stage I have no dislikes with Trullion. In 3 months of usage, we have encountered a single error that was resolved in short order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's super simple to import contracts into Trullion which is my major issue with their competitors. We manage a bunch of existing leases, and migrating onto Trulion was a piece of cake. It's also really easy to onboarding new leases which is great as the post pandemic boom has increased our lease count in a major way. The other major benefit of using Trullion is the audit function. The AI could be a little faster. If there are multiple variables it can take a little while to load. This isn't a deal-breaker though, it isn't a constant and can be fixed with a little time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The audit trail is extremely convenient as it saves time and effort for the auditors and the accounting team.

Smrt makes uploading leases very easy - we just drag and drop PDF files, and smrt detects most of the contract features automatically. After uploading, we go through the list of detected features and approve them, just to make sure there are no mistakes. In my experience, 95% of the detections were indeed accurate - saving us many, many hours of manual work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There really isn't much to dislike. The software is straightforward and works as advertised. Only thing I might mention is, reporting sometimes needs adjustments in order to comply with our internal audit standards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest benefit of smrt is it lets us have all our leases in one centralized place, and analyze them automatically. It's particularly useful for audits because you can go from financial entries directly to the right place in the original contract. smrt meets the regulatory requirements we have to comply with. The only difficulty we've encountered is what you might expect from any new software tool - getting onboarded takes a while, especially if you need the entire team on the same page. However, smrt's automatic contract extraction feature made this process much easier than we expected. We just uploaded all our PDF leases and smrt was ready to go.
