They are best utilized if coupled with a procurement person to help staff a procurement function without having to actually hire several procurement resources. They also have saved us a ton of money in pricing negotiations. **What do you dislike about Tropic?** They don't really replace procurement, as they tend to exclusively manage the procurement process, negotiate price, and send and receive documentation. We have frequently asked them to scan for certain commercial terms but that has fallen on our own internal legal resources to do. Their focus only on technology, namely software contracts, means that they only support a subset of all procurement deals. It would be nice if they could work on more than that. They act as partners, not as vendors. **What do you dislike about Tropic?** Sometimes the turnaround time between the initial request and procurement is a little longer than we might need, but they do their best to accommodate. **What problems is Tropic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Coordination efforts when there is no procurement team and partnership in how to best find value when levering new platforms for our business. ### 32. In the future would be great to have a little more automation around insights (e.g. you're subscribed to this feature set, but utilization across A, B, and C is low) **What problems is Tropic solving and how is that benefiting you?** SaaS pricing is an absolute black box. You never know if you're getting a fair deal since prices aren't published and buyers are often first-time buyers. They're solving the problem of knowing we're getting a good deal. ### 33.
