Payroll was smooth on the front end and the backend. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** We've had a tough time with Customer Service. They were very hard to get a hold of. No phone numbers on their website and email responses would take over a few days. It was as if they were making it hard to contact them on purpose. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** If you have an issue, give yourself some time to get it corrected or fixed. Also, once you find a number, keep it! It's really hard to get ahold of customer support. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having payroll being a part of the tool has been an huge help. We've also loved the reminders of anniversaries, birthdays, and special moments of our team. It's also been great to see different webinars to help level up our processes. ### 2. Also our new hires really do well and don't have any issues onboarding which is great. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** The customer service platform is very difficult to utilize. It is not easy to get a hold of a live agent and so that can delay your support, but once you do get an agent it is great. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** To make it easier for administrators to access a live customer service agent. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We don't have any current issues with Zenefits and they have resolved any issues we had like I had a question on how to set up the calendar holidays and an issue with our time off policy not allowing the proper calculations and it was resolved. ### 3. From the administrator's perspective, the software was not user-friendly. Most egregious, the integration we had set up with ADP for our payroll import was constantly breaking. Zenefits took an excessively long time to fix it and even actively caused problems with our payroll on occasion, once deactivating all our deductions, causing us to have to put out their fire on the day we ran our payroll. Most egregiously, customer support is abysmal. Even though we are no longer customers, I am currently on hold for a chat with a support agent as I need a few reports as we build out our new benefits accounts. I have been waiting for over an hour for an agent to answer the chat. Tickets submitted through their system also take multiple days for responses, and even longer to be addressed. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed an HRIS. I was not at the company when we started with Zenefits. For the most part, Zenefits was easy to use for our employees, but not as easy for administrators. ### 5. They over promised during sales and as soon as we were onboarded the support went away. It takes 2 MONTHS to get a response to help tickets, including time sensitive ones. EVEN IF YOU CALL! I even contacted the VP of customer relations (we have a mutual friend) and he referred me back to customer service. Absolutely horrendous. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** Everything. Especially customer service. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Open enrollment went very smoothly. Everything else is an absolute trainwreck. For example, they short paid our Q1 industrial insurance. I contacted them on 5/12 and did not get a response until 7/15 telling me they would not be resolving it. Today, 8/18 I recieved a notice that they DID IT AGAIN on Q2. They literally struck out the amount due and wrote in a different total on the remittance notice and short paid Labor and Industries. ### 12. Having close to 300 employees can make it a challenging task, but the software is so user-friendly that uploading it all is a breeze and then all deductions, contributions, taxes, etc. is taken care of from there! Plus, having the "full service" option for them to take care of our unemployment insurance for all employees - including those in multiple states is amazing. I have seen reviews criticizing the customer service, but that's never been an issue for me. Payroll is also pretty easy to use! - again that's after getting through the pain of setup. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** Our pain points are related to support and to several of the apps/functions that really need to be developed to be useful. With support, we pay additional fees for an "advisor", but most of our questions are referred to a support queue, so the advising option isn't helpful. Additionally, they sold us on their performance, compensation, and people hub functions, all of way are fairly basic. I had to purchase tools outside of the system, but am still locked into paying for the Zenefits version of these tools. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zenefits serves as our HRIS. This system reminds me of how user friendly an Apple products are for users. If you like simple and straight to the point, Zenefits is for you. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** Because it's a software and like many software, the users must continue to update the information and be aware of glitches. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** Zenefits is a great software system for small and midsize company looking to get assistance in HR administration. It is easy to use and set-up. I have used it for about 5 years and it had been great! **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** My main concern is that there are times when the software has glitches which can provide inaccurate information or disrupt certain HR tasks and activity. When there is a system error, contacting customer service had helped me resolve the problem and fix the error. The good thing is that they have 99% solution for all issues and errrors. ### 25. But the structure is there so at least you're not reinventing the wheel, you're just making it your own. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** It's a great product, but it's general. You'll need to take the time to make it your own. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it as a way to approve and track PTO, sick days, vacation, and other time off situations. It's hard to point out the good when the bad is overwhelming. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** Lack of customer service training and infrastructure. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** I was very happy with Zenefits... until I needed something. If you're a small company looking to implement your new HR system, and your budget is tight so you can't afford a larger platform, Zenefits is NOT FOR YOU, I suggest you wait until you can pay for a more reliable partner. Everything will be fine until inevitably, an issue arises and you need customer support. Then, you'll pay the price for being a small business. We small business have small teams wearing many hats, and therefore we need great partners. Partners that are going to take us by the hand and respond promptly with solutions. Do not expect a fast response from customer service. Do not expect your response to be good once you receive it weeks or months later. All the contrary, they've just made it harder for you to contact customer service in the first place. I still have tickets open from last January or February and I've got 2 "responses", both saying that my tickets were assigned to a specialist, and that they'll be contacting me. Never happened. Too bad I had just renewed for another year. The system in general will do the minimum but the features are too basic, and the reporting is horrible. The integration with QuickBooks unusable for real mapping and labor/project expense tracking. Not a good format for data manipulation. A help box guides the user to explain the problem and provides solutions; however, not every situation is simple. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I would like customer support for the problems I need help solving. Their chat modules do not work, and when they do, the ?person directs you to links, instead of solving your issue. 3) Inability to provide support to use the service. 4) They only schedule 30 minute calls during which they constantly direct you to links, and follow up with an email with links. I tried to schedule a longer call and their support team automatically cancelled the slots. 5) Inability to cancel subscription voluntarily. They want you to email them through a chat box and then wait to be answered. PLEASE DO NOT GET TRAPPED WITH THEM! **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** Don't get trapped with Zenefits. Their sales pitch is great. Their after sales is terrible. You will spend an exhaustive amount of time attempting to implement their program **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a small business and Zenefits has not solved any problems. My implementation manager took over a week to even make contact the first time and I had to reach out to sales to get implementation to reach out. There was no plan created for our company. They have training material but it's impossible to find what you're looking for. You have to wait for an agent to send you a link to find what you need. You'll be on hold for HOURS just to speak to a representation. No matter if it's chat, phone, or email. Benefits management - it was really bad but lately improved, smooth **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** 1. customer service: no direct call, hours are limited, chat session wait time is 60 minutes!!! 2. tax filing issues: a quarterly tax report file with amount calculated, printed and someone scratch printed amount and handwritten another amount which is lower. The payment went for lower amount to state and we got ding with penalties. No responsibilities, just excuses. 3. payroll issues: the software adds hours automatically resulting in emps getting double the hours paid and this happens AFTER the payroll verified and approved 4. Limited features on mobile app **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Onboarding - making an offer to new hire and have onboarding completed before actual start date.
