Probably the best thing about Vista is that it is all rooted in accounting. Everything you do on the job cost side is reflected in the general ledger. The program has a steep learning curve, it at times doesn't seem to be that intuitive and until you have learnt the unique quirks of the program it can be difficult to get the information you wanted. I have not been overly impressed with the training at times as it seems like they are just reading from a tutorial and not actually well versed in the programs usage. Everything. The batch processing, approving, and then interfacing is a very outdated way to work. The processes are all very old and slow. Quite a bit of duplicate entry and no cohesiveness Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software is user friendly. There are help menus if you're unsure how to enter something or which report options to select. One of the nice features is the ability to save your selections so you don't have to remember the details of each report you run. Get the report the way you want, set the defaults and move on. The program is constantly updated. Not just with the latest tax tables, but with additional features. Document imaging is worth it's weight in gold. We hardly print any reports. My only dislike is that the program can get pricey. There's a certain fee for the core module and additional fees for other modules that are quite necessary to efficiently operate the business. Great software for analyzing data and trends while still being pretty easy to use. The ability to create custom infolink reports enable you to create virtually report using the data you have in Spectrum that will auto refresh with just one click of a button. I wish there was a way to sort the canned Spectrum reports a bit easier. I am quite comfortable using infolink, so it is easy for me to create a quick variation of the Spectrum reports, formatted the way I want it to look. But unless you have knowledge of infolink, there is no way to easily rearrange Spectrum reports to show the data in the way you want it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The web-based application that allows you to have multiple tabs open. Very helpful when in the middle of a process and someone has a question you don't have to get out of your work.
