Support services can have a time lag. I belong to CFMA and there have been several community posts regarding the unhappiness of Vista users and the response times of their support requests. There have been inconsistencies in the support times I have experienced. Some are quick; others have taken longer than I have wanted it to take. Support is lacking at times. Some directions that the company chooses to head end up costing companies more money as they enlist the help of third-party software to take over key roles that they used to handle internally. What we have found to dislike about Vista is the customer service. During our conversion and implementation process, we were constantly handed off from one rep to another. Our primary reason for switching to Vista was to upgrade our accounting/financial software, and with a consultant that wasn't knowledgeable on accounting practices or how the Vista software really worked, it was extremely difficult. I am a non-accountant but my job requires me to interact frequently with Spectrum. Before Viewpoint Network, I was lost. But since the Viewpoint Network was established, I have access to free web-based training, a peer group w here I can ask questions or just learn from what others post, frequently-published tips and tricks that either show me an easier way to do something or show me something I had no idea I could do at all. Since these customer support tools were implemented, I feel capable and competent instead of ignorant and frustrated. Spectrum has become a versatile tool that I use multiple times every day. I wish that I had more control over how data is exported (for example, make a csv file an option for all the reports instead of pre-formatting some reports into an old version of Excel). I would appreciate more report templates that don't require me to learn a fairly complex software to create a simple report. I would like to be able to trigger email reminders in modules besides HR/payroll; for example, an email reminder that a subcontractor's certificate of insurance will expire.
