I'm Jez and I've been working remotely for almost three years. Although I understand it's part of the first few remote jobs and contracts I've signed up for, I am honestly uncomfortable that everything I do is being captured. But at the same time, I also understand the need for the firm to implement this policy. I got interested upon hearing about Traqq, and I genuinely prefer this over the other trackers I've used. I like the features for productivity scales as it would help me know what time I peak productivity and what times I don't, which is different for everyone. I also like that it sends reminders when one is idle for some time. Most of all, I like the blur feature so there's still a small portion of work that the employee has control over. I also like that it has dashboards based on tasks, hours, dates, productivity scales, etc., and I am positive the firm side would love this feature. Another good point is it's being offered for an affordable rate which smaller-size firms would appreciate. Overall, the app's features balance the micromanagement need of the firm and simultaneously protect the privacy of the employee/user, which is important. I highly recommend this to small-sized firms to try. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** No downsides, just some points to improve. For instance, it does not come in a mobile app version which was surprising as nowadays almost all desktop apps have mobile counterparts. Second is that employees can delete snaps taken, which I think is pointless as these can be retrieved by the firm or HR in charge anyway. I think this would have negative repercussions so better not for transparency for both employee and firm sides. However, as I've heard that they're very new in this field, they can be given some slack, and at this rate, I think they did great. **What problems is Traqq solving and how is that benefiting you?** Coming up with a time and productivity tracking system that would be helpful enough to increase productivity but at the same time protect the privacy of the user/employee. ### 2. I like the fact that we can have a precise idea of the time spent on each application, while keeping the privacy of the content with the blurred screenshots. Also, the function that allows to differentiate a real mouse movement vs. a movement to keep the computer active is also very relevant. From an HR point of view, Traqq also allows us to have a better understanding of the work organization and positions over time. It allows us to update job descriptions accordingly, but also to discuss with the employee their strengths and areas for improvement based on the time spent on a task. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** It would be interesting to have a mobile application. Apart from that I did not notice anything negative. **What problems is Traqq solving and how is that benefiting you?** With employees working 100% of their time remotely, we had difficulty getting a clear picture of the time spent working on projects. I love that the screenshots captured by the app are blurred, so only the site is visible, not the content on the page, allowing for more confidentiality of workflow activity. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** I am not fond of the ability of the employee to delete time from the log. Allowing the employee freedom to delete time could cause questions about what the employee was doing with their time. Maybe, instead of deleting time, the employee could be given a comment section to note what they did during that time. Meaning that as an employer, I still see what a specialist was working on without violating their privacy. (2) Activity monitoring - this is an amazing feature for employers! I can monitor which apps a freelancer opened during their work time and see how much time was spent on using each. So if a significant amount of time was spent on non-work-related activity - well, it´s time for a serious conversation. (3) Anti-mouse-moving feature - in my opinion, it´s an extremely valuable one! If a freelancer is trying to cheat the time tracker, it simply won´t work. Traqq app detects this fake activity and it won´t be recorded. These are top-3 key features that I wanted to highlight, although there´s so much more! I also found the handy option of adding time slots manually which covers the unplanned work tasks (e.g. meetings) that would otherwise stay unrecorded. I really liked that the content in the screenshots the app automatically makes is blurred, so if you need to check some private things or send some messages, you are secured. I also noticed that for those that own a business and want to track how each employee is performing in a certain project, you can do that by checking the percentage of their involvement. Another cool feature for business owners is that they can see how much time they spend on each website/app, even if they are doing it on a second monitor, so the employee can't cheat. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** I personally didn't find any downside to the app. From what I know, some people would want to have a graphic chart for timesheets, and yes, that will be good for some people, but personally, I can't find that more useful considering my needs as a freelancer. **Recommendations to others considering Traqq:** In my experience, Traqq offers everything a freelancer, an employee, or a business owner would want. **What problems is Traqq solving and how is that benefiting you?** Traqq helps me strengthen the relationship with my clients by proving to them my productivity and involvement in their projects. Traqq solves it. 2) Reports Also, I just love how you can schedule the team report (which you don't have to manually fulfill). Loved this feature-Amazing. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** Throughout the demo, if in the future it gets integrated with biometric machines for recording attendance, it would be great, along with the geolocation. My headache was to remind every manager to fill up the performance reports of employees which often came out vague and untrue since they required so much time, and the forgetfulness made losses to my quarter or annual reports. I have utilized another time management tool but it was not nearly as extensive as this one. Traqq not only helps manage the time of your employees but the level of activity and engagement in their daily work as well. I love the reporting features where tracked hours/activities can be exported for a more in depth review, some of these reports can be auto-generated and emailed directly to your inbox, this is such a win for saving time and not having to run your own report! Traqq also provides intermittent screenshots of an employee’s activities which is certainly useful in a situation with an employee struggling to stay on task. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** I did not find deficiencies within this product. It met my needs! Not only does it have every feature you could ask for both as a manager or an employee, but also it does it in the simplest way possible so it doesn't mess with your head! Just as it is important for a business to control the productivity of a team and manage the time in the best way, it is equally important to protect the private information of the employee and I see that this app has found the perfect balance. It blurs the private info or even lets you delete captured records (–along with the activity of course). Nothing is popping up that will disturb or distract you while you are working. The elements of the app are accentuated and neutralized without making the design messy –a perfectly presented UI! No prior knowledge is required, it is a pretty straightforward app that you can easily figure out how to use on your own. The Graphical User Information of this Tracking Desktop App is quite impressive. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** I am coming from a background of using Tracking Desktop Apps such as the ones maintained by "Freelancer", "Guru", and even "Upwork". They are more related to the direct relationship between an individual freelancer and the freelancing portal. I have seen the "Traqq" App on a "Mac O.S. X" machine. It has a great design. It is nicely integrated into the System-Tray. Functionally, it is better suited for a Project Manager who is watching their whole Team at once. What has impressed me is the way that the time is nicely and graphically represented following the performance of the freelancers. Still, for an individual freelancer, it is a little bit too much that somebody lower than the Project Management level would require. **Recommendations to others considering Traqq:** If you are a Project Manager, then you would surely appreciate "Traqq" if your Team is of at least three to four persons. **What problems is Traqq solving and how is that benefiting you?** If someone needs a more detailed Tracking Desktop App, then "Traqq" could be the right choice. What did I like about it? Firstly, I was impressed by the ability of taking screenshots at ten minutes intervals in which you showcase you work throughout the day. A benefit from this feature is that you don't need to upload them by yourself and you can pause Traqq anytime you are not working. I think one of the features that I liked the most was the ability of observing the work habits and establish the moments of the day when I am the most productive and when I tend to slack a bit so this can help me focus on the heavier tasks at my peak performance intervals. The simplicity of understanding the app as a first user was a pleasant surprise as I got the hang of it after 10 minutes of navigating through the menus presented. From the UI/UX perspective the usage is very nice, with a intuitive flow added to it. **What do you dislike about Traqq?** The only changes that I might add to the development of this app that for me was a nice experience is maybe the highlight of the widget on the desktop to be a little more visible ( maybe a stronger contrast) and adding a report for me as an employee where I can see an analysis of when I am the most productive ( the begining of the sprint, middle or end of the sprint) aswell as the time intervals of my productivity. Also I would like to be notified when my Activity drops below a certain threshold that I could set so I can set a minimum of activity for myself. **Recommendations to others considering Traqq:** Try to set individual activity goals for a day and a week and then follow the real ones in the app to see what kept you away from achieving what you wanted. **What problems is Traqq solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems Traqq solves from my point of view is not the slacking of employees, but the ability of the team manager to understand the habits of the employees and adapt the tasks and workload according to the employee behaviour. Also you can track the activity of the employee and invite them to a talk in the case of underachieving the levels it used to reach to know what is happening and adapt the situation. For myself, I am using this app to set myself a competitive rithm of work with a minimum activity level that I set for myself and also I am tracking my peak performance times of the day. ### 50.
