## About Transifex
Transifex is a continuous localisation platform designed for software, website, and digital product localisation. It serves as a comprehensive solution for product, engineering, marketing, and localisation teams, facilitating the translation and updating of software interfaces, websites, and digital content in real-time as changes occur. By integrating localisation into the development and content creation processes, Transifex eliminates the traditional batch-based approach, allowing for a more streamlined and efficient workflow. The platform is particularly beneficial for organisations that manage frequently changing software and web content, such as application user interfaces, marketing websites, customer-facing portals, and online documentation. Traditional localisation methods often involve manual file exports and delayed translation cycles, which can lead to discrepancies between translated content and the source updates. Transifex addresses these challenges by automating content synchronisation, enabling near real-time delivery of translations, and ensuring that localisation keeps pace with ongoing development. For software localisation, Transifex integrates seamlessly with code repositories and development workflows. This integration allows new or updated strings to be automatically sent for translation and returned without manual intervention, supporting agile and continuous release cycles. This capability significantly reduces the operational burden on engineering teams, allowing them to focus on development rather than localisation logistics. In the realm of website and marketing localisation, Transifex connects with various content management systems and web frameworks, simplifying the translation of web pages, navigation, metadata, and customer-facing copy. This functionality is particularly advantageous for marketing teams that require rapid multilingual updates to maintain consistency across different markets. The platform’s ability to facilitate quick publishing of translated content ensures that organisations can effectively engage with diverse audiences without delay. Transifex also offers robust collaboration features that enhance the localisation process. These include translation memory, terminology management, and review workflows, which support translators, reviewers, and localisation managers in maintaining linguistic consistency and quality across both technical and marketing content. By providing these tools, Transifex enables teams to operate efficiently while ensuring high standards in their translations. As part of the broader XTM localisation platform, Transifex allows organisations to combine continuous localisation with translation management and visual context tools when necessary. This integration further enhances its value proposition, making it an ideal choice for product teams, engineering teams, marketing teams, and localisation professionals seeking scalable localisation solutions in high-change environments.

## Transifex Reviews
  ### 1. Transifex Makes Localization Easy and Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian R. | Content Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

What I like most about Transifex is how it centralizes the entire localization process in one place, making it easy to manage translations efficiently. The platform is intuitive, allows for real-time collaboration, and helps maintain consistency across different markets. It also speeds up workflows by giving clear visibility on progress and reducing back-and-forth between teams.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

One downside is that sometimes identical translation strings are used in different contexts, which can lead to confusion or less accurate translations. It would be helpful to have better context visibility or guidance within the platform, so translators can clearly understand where and how each string is being used.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex helps solve the challenge of managing translations across multiple markets by centralizing all content in one platform. It improves efficiency, reduces manual work, and ensures consistency in messaging. This benefits us by speeding up go-to-market timelines, improving collaboration between teams, and maintaining quality across all localized content.

  ### 2. Effortless Expansion with Transifex

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cara G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I find Transifex extremely simple to use, even for a non-developer. Transifex made it easy and quick to translate our platform from English to Greek, which means we can expand our business overseas. It helped our business grow in other countries because it's easy to connect to our platform. I appreciate how we can translate with a touch of a button, finishing translations in under 2 hours, giving us more time. The initial setup was very easy and didn't take long at all.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

It would be great to have different languages for the same countries. Example is in Greece depending on where you are there can be multiple meanings for one word.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex reduces our need to use Google for translation or hire multilingual staff. It lets us translate quickly with a touch of a button, taking under 2 hours, making it easy to expand our business overseas. It’s simple and quick to use, even for non-developers.

  ### 3. I really like the way we can check all the translations together at one place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chaitanya G. | Localization QA Lead, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I really appreciate Transifex's strong collaboration tools. They have these amazing tools that look pretty good and are easy to set up ourselves, they even work with everything at once which means we can get all our chores done much faster than before. The in-context editing feature is a big deal, it helps ensure translations fit perfectly within our UI without constant back and forth screenshots. Also, our whole team can manage lots of different language versions for our app easily now, so it looks pretty good everywhere and saves us a bunch of money too.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Lots of stuff can go wrong with a project if nobody knows what's going together. The learning curve for optimizing workflows takes up people's time, which means that we all slow down right at the start. Also, there are some things you can do to get better reports into translator performance or content quality metrics. It would be great having an easier way to check on a whole project’s health too.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex helps us do the whole localization thing, which is such a big pain otherwise. Back then, we were kind of here with lots of spreadsheets and email threads to go around, plus having to transfer files by hand for every language, so sometimes there'd be missed stuff or aspects that didn't match up. Now though, everything is in one place, you can get new content automatically pushed through, and all the translators are on a shared space which keeps us from errors. So far, it has cut down how much time we need to do this aspect by weeks of hanging around until just few days, letting us go with global updates way easier and faster.

  ### 4. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The translation editor feels intuitive and makes it easy to move through strings efficiently. I particularly appreciate the translation memory feature—it suggests earlier translations for similar strings, which saves a lot of time and helps keep terminology consistent across projects. Collaboration is seamless as well; being able to leave comments and work alongside other translators or reviewers in real time feels natural. The integrations with our development pipeline also help content updates flow smoothly, without requiring a lot of manual file handling.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The invoice email feature doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried using multiple email addresses, but I still don’t receive the invoices. Pricing can also feel steep for smaller projects, and the interface has a bit of a learning curve for new users. On top of that, the platform occasionally feels slow when it’s handling a large volume of strings.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It brings all of our localization work into one place, cutting out messy file exchanges and the version confusion that comes with them. As a result, our translation workflows move much faster, and we’re able to ship multilingual content sooner.

**Official Response from Nina Eleftheriadou:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you find our platform user-friendly and easy to navigate. It’s wonderful to know that our efforts are making a positive impact.

We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the invoice emails. To resolve this issue promptly, please contact us at support@transifex.com so we can investigate further and assist you directly.

Thank you again for your review and for being a valued user of Transifex!

  ### 5. Streamlined Localization for Live Games

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

The biggest value for us is how much it reduces operational overhead in a live-service environment. The Transifex CLI eliminates manual file handling entirely, so content syncs directly with our repo and we can ship updates across 10 languages without friction. Translation Memory and glossary support ensure consistency across UI and narrative content, while DeepL pre-translation speeds up turnaround for our vendors.

The editor is also very strong from a quality perspective; having character limits, context, and screenshots in one place helps prevent issues before they reach LQA. On top of that, task management and collaboration are centralized, so there’s no need to juggle external tools or communication channels.

Overall, it allows a very small team to manage high-volume, continuous localization efficiently while maintaining quality and meeting tight weekly release cycles.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The core workflow is solid, but there are a few areas that could be improved.

Platform reliability is critical for live-service environments, and even short disruptions can have a direct impact on release timelines since everything runs through Transifex. Greater consistency here would reduce risk during time-sensitive updates.

Workflow flexibility is another limitation. Handling iterative text changes or introducing more granular review steps can feel restrictive and sometimes requires external workarounds.

While the UI is generally intuitive, some advanced features are not immediately discoverable or easy to configure, particularly for new contributors working on more complex setups.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Transifex, a large part of our localization process was spent on manual file handling, version control, and coordinating across tools. This created delays, increased the risk of errors, and limited the time available for actual quality management.
Transifex centralizes the entire workflow. With the CLI, content syncs directly with our repository, removing manual steps and reducing the risk of outdated or mismatched files. Translation Memory and glossary features ensure consistency across both UI and narrative content, which is critical for a long-running title like ours.
As a result, we reduced weekly localization management time from 5–7 hours to under 2 hours (around 70% time savings), while maintaining 99.9% translation coverage across 10 languages. Turnaround times for new content are typically 24–48 hours, even with continuous updates and last-minute changes.
Overall, it allows us to operate a high-volume, live-service localization pipeline with a small team, while improving both speed and consistency.

  ### 6. Translations made effortless with automated changes saving a lot of time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

It’s very clear and easy to understand how to use the platform because of the clear UX that doesn't need training to use, it's really that simple.

I especially like that once you’ve done your translations, it automatically takes the changes into account, which is amazing. You also don’t need to remember to save your progress; you can simply go through the list of strings to translate.

The copy button is especially helpful because I can copy and paste into a AI translation tool that gives me a list of translation choices, then paste back the one I chose. The whole process feels very seamless.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

Not a lot to be honest. If I had to pick one thing, I would love to be notified when there are new strings to be translated.

I don't necessarily think about checking every week and it could be a great add on (maybe it's already on and I don't know, in this case apologies).

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am managing a Global platform present in multiple countries and therefore we have about 6 to 7 languages and version of this website.

Transifex helps me to have a very seamless way to translate every new enhancement we make to the tool since all is done in English. But then it's super clear that we need to translate in all those languages the different strings that have been added.

It's very benefiting because I don't need to upload any translations manually, it would show me the strings to translate, and automatically update them in the production environment of my digital platform.

Looking at over 1000s of strings in multiple languages, this makes me save a lot of time and making sure I'm not forgetting anything to translate.

  ### 7. Highly Flexible and User-Friendly Translation Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I like Transifex for its flexibility in approach and configurability, which allows me to tailor it exactly to our changing needs. The ease of use is a significant plus for me, making the experience much smoother. Quick contact with our account manager is also something I appreciate. Additionally, the initial setup of Transifex was very easy, which added to the overall positive experience.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

It's often a guess what amount of hosted words and AI words we will use in a year. When we need to adjust, it's quite some back and forth to get a new SOW signed. Would be nice if that could be more flexible. Also, we would like to be able to automatically create review tasks based on the TQI.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex helps us offer our product in multiple languages consistently. It's flexible and configurable, allowing us to switch between ordering translations or using AI. Its ease of use and quick contact with the account manager are great too.

  ### 8. Streamlined Translation with Some Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

I really like that Transifex is easy to understand; the platform itself is quite useful. It's easy to find the documentation and the files I'm translating. I also like how I can see what they translated and where I can make my adjustments, which really helps in my work.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

I think maybe some of the automatic translations sometimes don't feel accurate. More than that, I'd like the possibility to do proofreading more in bulk. If in some languages there are mistakes, it would be useful to handle them all at once instead of going one by one. At the beginning, I felt it was quite confusing to use, not as user-friendly because I wasn't used to the interface, which was challenging.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex makes translation smoother and faster by automatically translating much of our content and saving us time, letting us focus on checking the translations.

  ### 9. Powerful Localization: Multi-Language Support, Translation Memory, and Flexible Placeholders

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

It supports many different languages, and I can review translations before they’re added to the product. It also works with a variety of placeholder styles, which makes it easier to hook into different codebases. I like that it supports machine translation as well as human translators so I can get preliminary translations quickly. Translation memory is also useful for keeping translations consistent.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The user interface is a little hard to navigate. Features are difficult to locate, thankfully there is a support team that is helpful and they provide screenshots of where items are located.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex helps solve the challenge of translating strings from English into other languages so they can be displayed correctly within the product. The machine translation saves time from copy pasting translations manually from something like Google Translate.

  ### 10. Useful for Translation, but Integrations and User and Group Management to Improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas C. | Product Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Transifex?**

Transifex allows us to store all our translations in one place and ensures that the translation complies with the existing glossary. The translation memory is very useful because it prevents redundant phrases from being retranslated, saving us translation costs and time. It also helps maintain consistent translation throughout the content.

**What do you dislike about Transifex?**

The management of users and user groups is not well thought out in my opinion. The integration with other tools seems improvable. The management of the glossary via API is partial.

**What problems is Transifex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transifex allows storing all content in the same place, ensuring compliance with glossaries, and obtaining faster translations thanks to translation memory, which reduces costs and time.
