Below are some key differentiators. - Mature and Cohesive - It has all been developed by one company (not cobbled together through acquisitions) and it leverages Microsoft components (like SQL and .NET framework), so it doesn’t break when you patch or upgrade your servers. - Flexibility - The fact that you can customize TrakSYS functionality using in-product tools and scripting means that you can mold TrakSYS to your business operations instead of having to mold your business to your MES. This flexibility also enables seamless integration with essentially any external system, most of which can be configured without writing code using TrakSYS Connect. - Best-in-class UI - The clean user interfaces are easy for operators to learn and navigate, and the configurable dashboards deliver valuable insights to all levels of the business. The 100% web front end simplifies implementation because there is nothing to install aside from the server components, and users can view TrakSYS on everything from a smart phone to a laptop to a large display. - Open and Extensible - The open database and extensive API allow for extension using other BI tools if there is already a preferred tool in place. - New Features - TrakSYS is being continually extended and improved. Because of the depth and flexibility of the platform, TrakSYS takes a significant time to master from a developer standpoint. While there are many different ways to develop solutions in TrakSYS, it requires an experienced partner to ensure the solution is built robustly and designed to scale with the organization. I have seen TrakSYS projects fail due to the inexperience of the implementation team (this is true of nearly any MES on the market, so it's not unique to TrakSYS).
