What do you like best about Trainual?
The key features we rely on include step-by-step process documentation, embedded multimedia such as videos, quizzes, and images, and the ability to assign content to specific roles or teams. The built-in tracking and completion reporting is especially valuable because it lets us monitor progress in real time and quickly spot any gaps in compliance or capability.
An unexpected benefit has been the consistency it brings to supporting the onboarding new employees. New employees receive a standardised experience regardless of their location or manager.
Trainual has strengthened our ability to deliver scalable, consistent, and trackable learning across our company.
Our employees are very happy with the user friendliness of this system, especially the AI Support Assistant and how much information is at their fingertips and the speed at which they can retrieve information when they need it, which saves time and money.
Our Trainual Administrators like the AI support they can use when creating content descriptors and for ideas when developing content, as well as the suggested templates available.
Our company completed a review of Trainual in comparison with other products approximately 10 months ago and Trainual has remained as our preferred platform due to its competitive pricing and administration capabilities.
We are very happy with the level of support we have at our fingertips with Trainual. We have never had a problem of no one getting back to us if we have a query or need more information or technical issues to resolve. The service we have received has been excellent. What do you dislike about Trainual?
The reporting features are relatively basic and do not provide the level of detail required for comprehensive training analysis. In particular, generating meaningful training summary reports for employees who have left the organisation is challenging. Once a user is archived, their training data is not easily accessible for reporting purposes. To extract a report, we are required to reactivate the user, which is inefficient and creates unnecessary administrative effort.
Even after reactivating users, the available reports lack depth and do not provide a consolidated or detailed view of completed training, progress, or historical learning activity. This makes it difficult to meet internal reporting requirements and limits our ability to maintain accurate training records for audit or compliance purposes.
Enhancing the reporting capability—particularly the ability to generate comprehensive, exportable reports for archived users—would significantly improve the platform’s overall effectiveness and reduce manual workarounds.
Another feature that could be improved are the Trainual Template Paths. We tried to use these to separate what we wanted our new starters to focus on from week to week by using the split functionality, but this is to rigid for our requirements as it stops the employee from being able to open any other content outside of the fixed section they first commence. we would rather this was a 'guide' and if the person wants to skip to other content outside of the split section they are currently working through, they should be able to do this.
Adding Tables into content can be a bit of a challenge. Sometimes it is difficult to format these properly.
We have had problems when developing content that we can lose it if we have accidentally got 2 Trainual windows open at the same time and have made edits in both windows (we use multiple screens so this does happen sometimes). Would be great if Trainual saved these edits regardless how many windows we're working from, or provided a warning that it is already open in another window.
Trainual us unable to provide us with Google Sheets reports, only excel, so when we receive these reports via email, we then have to convert them to Google sheets before we can analyse the data. Would be great if this happened automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
