**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Fairly easy to use, easy slack integration for escalations/updates.  Our CSM is super helpful and makes a point to keep a weekly session with me to help improve my team management via Catalyst tools/dashboards. Thanks Vickee!

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

The hot key functions are annoying and not intuitive. The inability to quantify email/slack/meeting time spent with clients presents an incomplete picture of CSM's "time spent" with clients.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Catalyst helps me view CSM activity, high level account details and account team notes.  We also use Salesforce and are limited by dirty data in SF to better use Catalyst for revenue planning.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Having one tool where I can login to see all the accounts I am responsible for and be able to quickly find all the information I need. I can use templates to streamline my workflows for meetings and even build in fields so the data I need lives right in my notes as I prepare for and run implementation meetings.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

To maximize collaboration and transparency, it really depends on all team members using Catalyst with similar processes. There is a bit of an art to setting this up in a way that is sustainable and efficient for the whole team.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a place where account notes can be stored and accessed by all team members in an easy way. Meeting prep is reduced because of templates that apply to specific stages of the customer journey.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

I appreciate the note and task template functionality, as well as the playbooks that can automatically assign certain tasks based on certain criteria. I love the ability to tag team members and collaborate through a note. I also appreciate the relatively quick and configurable bird's eye views of your accounts.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Its a great tool, but has a few areas to grow :) There are some little finicky ways the scroll doesn't always work in a helpful way, as well as some little  formatting annoyances in the text areas. I also wish it was more clear how to create customized dashboards and reports. I like a lot about this tool compared to Salesforce, but I don't find it quite as easily configurable.

Catalyst is solving the problem of account visibility for myself, my manager and our whole leadership team.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

I love being able to assign myself tasks in Catalyst! This platform is super helpful to keep me aligned to goals and stay organized. I love to create client sentiment scores and the task work flow is very efficient

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

One area of improement would be not having to have notes tied to a specific accout. For example, if I want to take notes that aren't related to a client, I can't effectively do this.

Catalyst is allowing me to view all the information about my clients in one cohesive place.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

I love that it syncs to so many tools and creates one central location for updating opps, accounts, and quota management.  Our team is able to quickly manage their BoB thanks to a very intuitive UX.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Nothing really.  Once you learn how to create the different segments, creating dashboards and other items is very straightforward and makes a lot more sense from a user perspective than a lot of the other tools out there for reporting.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue of having to go to a number of different tools to make sure all our data sources are updated and in sync.  Catalyst streamlines all of the processes and reporting.

Easy to update account statuses that are connected to SF, great place to take notes to look back on later. Can tag other CSMs in notes that you want action on. Helpful planning for forecasting!

I really don't have anything to note here! The tool has been a huge benefit. I guess that there are so many functions it's hard to decide which will be the best for me

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me be fasted in updating the statuses of all of my active accounts, helps me keep all of my call notes in one place, notifies me when I have a certain field that needs updating in SF. All of these make me quicker at my job

I appreciate how easy it is to configure custom layouts and reports in Catalyst, and love that it also integrates with Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

I wish there was a way to "pin" a note as part of an account's home page, or add more custom content in general to the home page.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team has regular metrics we track, and Catalyst's features make it easy to view and monitor them.  

Also, we use Catalyst as a task management platform.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Tons of data pulled into one place that allows CSMs to track customer data, keep notes, collaborate internally, and more. It's relatively easy to navigate and use each day. Note templates and custom layouts allow my whole team to use Catalyst in a more consistent way.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Sometimes the data can be a bit much; there is SO much that could be displayed that it can lead to very scroll-y views with many columns. Occasional bugs and errors pop up, but it's usually nothing major and Catalyst usually gets these fixed pretty quickly.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidating all relevant customer data and notes in one place; ability to share across our team and other teams who have access. Ability to track specific things like new customer onboarding, upcoming renewals, and at-risk customers using custom layouts is great, as long as the layouts are well-thought-out.

Catalyst gives me insight into my accounts in various ways, all from one platform! I can use Catalyst to track and organize renewals and view their account health and previous communications with those accounts all from one place!

I previously wished for more opportunities to update my catalyst home pages to meet my day-to-day needs. The new updates allow this, and I look forward to more opportunities to explore those features!

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Our Catalyst team is fantastic to work with. We have a great CSM who is consultative and gives us best practice information on how best to use the tool. We have been able to adapt Catalyst to help us get out of our spreadsheet nightmare.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

There are still a few things we'd love to see Catalyst do. For example, if it could help calculate GRR/NRR for each CSM on our team, we could give the team a good picture of their performance against those two numbers.

We used to create spreadsheets to answer our common customer questions and to inform our business strategy around customers. Now, we can just look at data within Catalyst.

Integration with Salesforce is still a little light and could be improved. For the most part, it seems to be fine but the sync across both products doesn't work all the time.

managing the full book of business has become easier with the level of nights Catalyst provides on products my customers are not using, customers who are churn risk and what are the most important customer to target based on renewals & upsells.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

As a Customer Success Engineer, I need to keep track of all my accounts to implement our product efficiently for my customers. I like that Catalyst integrates well with Salesforce, and I can keep track of all the necessary details of my accounts, like their implementation status, ARR etc. I love that I can create layouts and customised charts to derive deeper insights into the accounts. We can also update notes and create tasks right on the app, which helps us track all the action items needed for our accounts. The design and UX is great!

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Adding contacts can be challenging because of the integration with Salesforce. They need to be added on Salesforce first to be visible on Catalyst. That is the only downside I see.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Catalyst helps map the customer journey across different stages of customer success. Without this tool, we would have to manually add details on an excel sheet to track down the account details. It helps me keep a close check, track all the details required for effective implementation, and allows me to provide a great experience to my customers. It is so easy to follow the processes detailed on it.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

The platform itself is intuitive and incredibly easy to configure and implement. Equally as important, the company and its founders are thought leaders in the CS industry and it feels like a true partnership.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Catalyst was buggy when we first rolled it out. This was problematic for a variety of reasons, but mainly because my team was reverting back to our old ways. Catalyst was very responsive and at one point we met with their CTO to resolve the issue(s).

Global Book of Business reporting, Customer Journey mapping and execution, Playbooks, Health Scoring, CSM book of business reviews, etc.

I love that Catalyst allows me to view my clients as a whole and see aggregate data on their health. I also like that I can have different viewpoints, whether it is tracking if I've sent out campaigns or general reporting.

There isn't too much that I dislike about Catalyst. Sometimes when changing a field and having to click the check mark or the X to submit that change can be annoying. I wish I could just click it and it would change.

Catalyst allows me to keep track of everything my accounts are doing. I can monitor their health, identify who my main contacts are, and create reports to track different initiatives.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Catalyst allows me to keep track of all my accounts and understand the trends in account health, ACV, renewals (etc.) across the entire team worldwide. I like taking notes and creating tasks for myself, as they allow me to organize my work better and keep a detailed history of events for the account. Another cool thing is that it is connected to Salesforce and reduces the manual work in updating both systems contemporary.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

For how I use it today, there is not much I dislike about Catalyst. The only thing I might think of is the tasklist that does not allow me to rearrange them in terms of importance (e.g. urgent, important, not urgent, not important)

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am no Manager, but I think Catalyst helps our organization to have a big picture of what is happening in our account base per CSM per region. This allows us to bring factual data (such as retention and upsell data) to top-level management and the board.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Catalyst is a tool that grows with your needs and provides a lot of options for companies starting to grow a CS organization and wanting to roll out a CS tool in parallel. 
Our main CRM is SFDC and our setup combined with the overall lack of usability in SFDC makes it tough to implement changes quickly. With Catalyst I can circumvent a lot of the restrictions and easily administrate users, etc. independently.

The support is fast to react and provides good responses.

The experience with Customer Success so far has been awesome, no matter the role or person.

Feedback with regards to missing functionalities is picked up quickly and you always know what is being worked on and when you can expect something to be released.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Latency and performance here in EMEA is sometimes lacking and can cause delays in the sync with SFDC. 

Besides that, I would like to see a lot more flexibility with data representation in dashboards, but I trust this is being worked on.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling CSMs to quickly and efficiently log information and visualize data on their accounts.
In addition, Catalyst provides us with options to establish and individualize CSM workflows.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Catalyst is extremely customizable. We're using it to replace an internal tool and constantly add new dashboards and views. I don't think we could use it if it weren't so flexible and customizable.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Catalyst isn't the most intuitive to learn. I think it's because of how robust it is, there's a slight learning curve to start using and maximizing all its functionality.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Catalyst shows us account health, program overview, and specific account focuses. It helps to keep information clean and helps us have crisp reports. Honestly, the biggest thing is that it integrates with things like email and Zendesk which has helped us have better forecasting, support insights, and a better holistic view of accounts.

Catalyst allows me and my team to have actionable data to best help our clients and give them strategic, data-driven feedback. It is especially useful as our BoB continues to grow, we have one location where we can both collect our own information and where we can pull from other places to have a central source rather than trying to gather everything from various locations.

There is so much you can do and so many templates - it does take some enablement to ensure you get the best use out of the tool.

Gathers information from various places and pulls together to have a neat view of data and qualitative notes that allows the CSM and leadership team to be aligned and have a central view of an account.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

I love the tasks and notes. Being able to cascade down tasks using the automated playbooks has completely revolutionized how we approach CS. Data, Data, Data. Notes allow clear visibility into the account where a CSM can tag and collobrate.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Currently, I do not see a downside to using catalyst. As we progress, we see where there could be better enhancements. However, whenever we ask for them, the response is nearly always, "that's coming in a future release," and it always does!

We have been using Catalyst as a customer project management solution. We can pinpoint action needed using customer data and trigger automated playbooks. Less guess work!

Prior to using Catalyst, I had to rely on my own systems to keep track of key account details. Catalyst gives me the right details, at the right time and enables me to know where I need to focus my attention.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

There isn't anything I dislike about Catalyst. There are things I would love to see, such as a  better way to access contract attachments from Salesforce, and an integration with UpdateAI ;)

Being able to keep tabs on the overall health of an account.
Identifying when intervention is needed.
Being able to keep tabs on customer journey stages and progress made within each stage.

My favorite thing about Catalyst is how accessible information is on the home page. It is a huge help to quickly see my tasks, priority accounts, and open Zendesk cases. In addition to the intuitive layout, you can enable multiple playbooks that help automate the Success process. Being a Customer Success Manager has never been easier than when using Catalyst!

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

So far, it has been an absolute blast using this software. I have nothing to note that I dislike, as I'm still finding things I like months after implementation!

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Catalyst solves, for me, is time management. Every day you can see what tasks are most important and which clients need your attention. Catalyst allows me to focus on critical issues while providing the necessary tools (e.g., tasks) to handle things swiftly.

My biggest complaint so far has been with nuances of formatting information presented and the lack of options to adjust decimals, add commas, add dollar signs, etc.

Catalyst has everyone in our Client Success team speaking the same language and collaborating. Gone are the days of googlesheets and one notes. Notes and to-do items are handled within the platform.

You have to go through so many steps to build out things - but once you do spend the time to thoughtfully build out everything, it is a very rewarding feeling.

Keeping everything in one place has been super helpful. Also, being able to build out customer journeys has been key, before we got Catalyst, we weren't able to do that and so every CSM was doing their own thing there wasn't a standardized approach to anything.

I like being able to create segments in Catalyst. I track my book of business utilizing a segment that updates in real-time with updates made to Catalyst. So much more efficient than continually entering all the information on a spreadsheet and keeping it updated myself!

The platform can take some getting used to all of the features, and creating segments was confusing initially.  With some trial and error, I could figure out what worked best for me.

Being able to draft and upload notes for each customer is hugely helpful in my role! I frequently refer back to my notes and appreciate that they are kept in one place with a customer's overview of information.

The ability for Catalyst to integrate with multiple systems i.e. Salesforce, Zapier, Hubspot, etc. make it extremely valuable for our CSMs to be able to view their accounts in a single pane of glass view. We're also looking at leveraging the customer health scoring/metrics functionality as well.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

I would love to have a better executive/summary level view and ability to subscribe our leadership team to certain dashboards, reports, etc. without having to login i.e. a view only seat for consumers of the data and activities.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed the ability to see all account level information in one place as it's currently spread across different tools and processes so that our CSMs could better understand activities and usage tied to their accounts.

Graphics visibility and presentation need to improve, the colors are great, but the text and representation might not be clear. I want to be able to mod tabs for clarity.

Deploying Catalyst has provided critical insight into our renewal, expansion, and churn forecast. At the same time, we use it to track progress with our Succes Plans, and capacity planning. While other Customer Succes platforms provide similar capabilities, we were able to have Catalyst adapt to how we run the business and force us into running the business the way the platform was designed. This flexibility enabled us to have significantly more adoption.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

We understood going in that Catalyst was not as "mature" of a product as some of their competitors, this was actually an advantage to us as we were able to have a greater voice. So while I cannot say there were any "dislikes", there are still features that are being developed and are not all available just yet. The Catalyst team has been very helpful in enabling us to find appropiate work-arounds.

I love that Catalyst is built to be a one-stop shop for anything relating to a CSMs book of business. Catalyst has helped us think critically about our customer's lifecycles and allows us to track what goals we want them to achieve at each stage.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Often times I run into situations where I am limited by the field logic, i.e., cross-object querying on Catalyst. This can make it challenging to build segments or fill out fields with the specific information I want to see across other objects. I know it is something that is being worked on, however, so I am looking forward to what developments are coming.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have struggled with having multiple sources of truth for accounts and the curse of tracking things in numerous spreadsheets. We now have a spot where all accounts notes and account information is stored, which can be shared with different teams across the company. It also allows leadership to have better visibility on the health of accounts and track which accounts need extra attention or escalation, removing the need for yet another spreadsheet :)

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

The customizability of Catalyst is outstanding: From creating our customer journey with automatic stage advancement triggers to adding recovery plans to accounts. Aesthetically pleasing account overviews with numeric health scores. Also, bringing our Looker data right into the user interface to help prep for client calls. Catalyst is quickly becoming our single source of truth after only a few months of working with it.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

It's hard to dislike anything about Catalyst. It's a relatively young software, and some small things are missing, but the CS team is supportive and helpful. Always ready to share a quick fix and submit a feature suggestion. So far there isn't anything we need that isn't achievable with some feature or workaround.

Like anyone, we've been trying to get all of our client data into one platform from a CS perspective. We've got things in Salesforce, Google Drive, Looker, Various other SaaS products, Spreadsheets, email, etc. We've found ways to add nearly everything to Catalyst, even if it's just a link to Miro or Airtable; for example, Catalyst has become the central hub for the CS team here.

**What do you like best about Catalyst?**

Easy to house all information related to customers’ usage and progress throughout their journey using our solution. Insightful in terms of what my customer's health is and where I should be focusing my attention to leverage their health score. Additionally, it gives me the ability to add ¨reminders¨ for myself if certain criteria are met. For instance, in the past, it was very difficult for me to track and remember when all my customers were up for renewal, so in some quarters my forecast would be inaccurate because some had fallen through the cracks. With Catalyst, I was able to create a playbook that reminds me 120 days prior to renewal so now I always keep my forecast up to date and without forgetting any customer.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Sometimes is hard to capture notes quickly. If my note template has too many default fields it will take a couple of minutes to load before it actually let me add my notes. Also, I’ve had some issues trying to attach pictures, the note just won’t add my attachment.

**What problems is Catalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer health score, playbooks to not forget any part of the process before renewing a customer, housing my customers’ data, giving me quick visibility into what phase my customers are at, allowing me to keep track of when was the last time I spoke with a customer.

I love how easy and intuitive Catalyst is. As a CSM, I love having a 360 view of my clients & their current health in an easy-to-view dashboard. Catalyst makes it easy to track the goals and KPIs most important to me. I save so much time recording value stories and meeting notes with templates.

**What do you dislike about Catalyst?**

Honestly, it's hard to think of anything to dislike. If I had to be critical, changing the sentiment detail on an existing template can be a little tedious, but that's minor.  Keep doing what you're doing, and I'm excited to see what you build out next!

Catalyst is helping me prioritize my days/weeks. I have a ton of renewals this month, and Catalyst makes it easy to manage/prioritize so many moving parts. I also love how it is truly a one-stop-shop; everything I need to know about a client is in one place.
