The TortoiseSVN Subversion on Windows Server 2019 provides such functionalities that I can compare the previous branch and the new changes after the conflicts, and that too outside the IDE. So that I won't have to look up my IDE every time I need to resolve conflicts ,the compare functionality of the product is also very easy and user-friendly is what I liked the most about it. Although many people are using TortoiseSVN Subversion on Windows Server 2019, after I switched from windows to Linux, I must look for something else as the product is not available for Linux, and this is what I disliked the most about the product ; everything else is good and nice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great way to compare folders and shared folders with a wide group of people all on their independent computers. I use it at work extensively to share files across different departments. SVN allows us to track revision history, changes in files, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using a work folder and a repository folder so that employees don't accidentally commit or delete something from the repository has us constantly updating and committing files which becomes a big chore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful thing about TortoiseSVN Subversion Client is its seamless integration with the shell of Microsoft Windows. It stays in the context menu of files in your repositories as well as folders which are representing your repositories. You can checkout into your local repository, export your repository or some files from it to another location, view logs, compare the working base with your working copy as well as with every revision on your SVN server, you can effectively merge conflicting files during the local repository update process, repair and remove files in your local or remote repository, view your repository statistics, and many more. But integration with Windows shell doesn't with functions mentioned here. For example, you can view the current status of your repositories and files with them as an overlay over icons in Windows Explorer. Integration with our development software is as good as Windows one. You can access all the functions of TortoiseSVN from the menu of your development software. You can even export the SVG file of your repository revisions tree from it. Also, you can integrate your QA and bug tracking systems (issue trackers) with it. Sometimes overlay over icons in Windows Explorer begins turning invisible randomly. To fix this, just sign out from your current session and sign in again. I think that this happens when Windows begins to update and some Windows Explorer files become overwritten. Not all the development tools have as great TortoiseSVN integration as others. In particular, IntelliJ IDEA integration is not so good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helped lot to stage the component file from lower to next environ itment. I have used it in one of the project where it helped lot as part of version control activities Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
while I used, didnt see any locking option to apply on files to avoid making changes on same file by multiple peoples. It would be helpful if it provide locking option Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SVN has features to overwrite the existing changes and get the latest from source code which is easy in SVN, for the same thing if we have to do in git it does not allow overwriting and we have to stage it all time , SVN easily integrates with visual studio and we can check the history of file from visual studio itself Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
it does not have feature of connected architecture like git has , rest if find good in SVN Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I Like about this is it is basically like a Git platform in which you can commit your code to the server which access by your teammates and if wants to edit something you also know about the change or updation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about the platform is every time you have to commit your code then your teammates got your updated change if not this will affect your coding problems and is not useful for teammates for getting any change or update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
