Its intiative and best GUI and impactful data mining and free version too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't support branching and little enhancements can make it equivalent to GIT Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Friendly and simple UI. the quick guide(Documentation) is available to use whenever needed. Easy interface/Context menu directly on file explorer. It helps to work with DVCS easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I felt it has little fewer features when compared to Github. Security is my next concern Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is one of the best shell extensions that I have used in Windows. It is simple to install. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It requires external Git, which can be inconvenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple user interface and light weight client which make tortoise Hg one of the best tool for version maintaining. Easy switch between branches and maintain all the work in progress data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometime the client hangs and it's difficult to push changes on the branch. Security should be increased more and more options on the UI should be provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy switch between branches
Multiple shelving system. Can un-shelve individual files or the whole shelf at the same time
Good use of the UI to divide the screen into Revision history, commit notes section, working directory files, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While UI is handy, it needs to be updated to be more modern or sophisticated
Not easy to get back some of the UI elements if accidentally lost. need to be more user friendly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is conceptually simple and easy to use. The best part is the graphical visualization of the branches and its commits. We can easily pull and merge the code without typing in the console. We can easily switch the branch one to another and it is very useful for collaborative development if you are working the same project with multiple developers. If any error in the server like while merge and pull means they are not showing the detailed error log and a bit difficult to understand the error messages. Mainly they do not provide partial checkouts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
