I love how Togal.AI organizes all our items in one easy-to-access software in the browser, which makes takeoffs effortless and super easy to get started. The features for duplicating items and comparing sheets are fantastic because they make it simple to find discrepancies and changes during Addenda Reviews. This feature saves me so much time by letting me overlay the previous sheet under the new one to easily see and mark any changes, ensuring I don't miss any details. Working from home or any laptop is seamless since Togal.AI works in a browser. The AI aspect really boosts our productivity and ease of workflow. Setting Togal.AI up was super easy; you just configure a few settings on the first takeoff, and it’s smooth sailing from there. Using repeating groups, greatly helps when creating takeoffs on Hotels & Multi Family Housing units that have specific Room Types, as you can create 1 room type and select all the other rooms that have that same tag, and effortlessly get an accurate count instead of manually going through every room and doing the individual takeoff! I’ve had the opportunity to use this AI-driven estimating platform, and it has proven to be an exceptionally capable tool within the preconstruction workflow. The interactive experience feels polished, allowing for smooth engagement, intuitive navigation, and an efficient overall process. Most notably, the platform shows impressive accuracy in finding relevant information within the specification book and intelligently linking it to the corresponding drawing details. The biggest hurdle is the initial learning curve. Since the platform has a deep set of features, it takes time to fully understand everything it can do. New users—especially those coming from more traditional or manual workflows—may feel overwhelmed at first. I use Togal.AI for all of my takeoffs, and I like its cloud-based software because I can access my takeoffs from anywhere on any computer at any time. It helps expedite my process, especially with loading large files, and its auto-naming, auto-sorting, and search features allow me to quickly figure out what scopes of work I need to look at for any particular project. The toggle takeoff button is really only used for simple counts on a floor plan, so it doesn't really apply to masonry specifically. I find Togal.AI incredibly useful for my home renovation takeoffs, especially with its capability to assist in keeping files organized. I love the ease of using its takeoff tools, making it simple for me to perform takeoffs on drawings and then download the results as an Excel sheet with the totals. This feature is particularly helpful during the estimation process while waiting for official pricing. I experience occasional bugs when using Togal.AI, specifically when opening drawing sheets in multiple tabs. If I have more than two tabs open, the drawings do not load properly, which forces me to revert to a single tab. The ToGal team has been fantastic on training and addressing hurdles in our downloads of plans. Corey Harrison has be more than helpful and put in the extra time to ensure project takeoffs go smoothly. His help and availability has made working with ToGal amazing.
