Improvements would be identifying more items that pertain to our field ie. mechanical, electrical, sprinkler penetrations. Also identifying the difference between a rated wall and a non-rated wall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how Togal.AI organizes all our items in one easy-to-access software in the browser, which makes takeoffs effortless and super easy to get started. The features for duplicating items and comparing sheets are fantastic because they make it simple to find discrepancies and changes during Addenda Reviews. Working from home or any laptop is seamless since Togal.AI works in a browser. The AI aspect really boosts our productivity and ease of workflow. Setting Togal.AI up was super easy; you just configure a few settings on the first takeoff, and it’s smooth sailing from there. Using repeating groups, greatly helps when creating takeoffs on Hotels & Multi Family Housing units that have specific Room Types, as you can create 1 room type and select all the other rooms that have that same tag, and effortlessly get an accurate count instead of manually going through every room and doing the individual takeoff! The AI chat could be better. If pricing can be integrated, that would be amazing. The AI is very limited to the information in the plans. It should be more open, taking into account the building process and local building codes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve had the opportunity to use this AI-driven estimating platform, and it has proven to be an exceptionally capable tool within the preconstruction workflow. The interactive experience feels polished, allowing for smooth engagement, intuitive navigation, and an efficient overall process. Most notably, the platform shows impressive accuracy in finding relevant information within the specification book and intelligently linking it to the corresponding drawing details. This automated correlation meaningfully reduces manual effort while improving precision and efficiency throughout the estimating process. In addition, personal help is available every day, which makes ongoing use and adoption much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest hurdle is the initial learning curve. Since the platform has a deep set of features, it takes time to fully understand everything it can do. New users—especially those coming from more traditional or manual workflows—may feel overwhelmed at first. To reach maximum efficiency, you really need to invest time in exploring the platform and getting comfortable with its more advanced capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, it just saves me a bunch of time, as I do a lot of bids throughout the week, with all of my takeoffs saved and stored in the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The toggle takeoff button is really only used for simple counts on a floor plan, so it doesn't really apply to masonry specifically. I typically will use the floor plan, a wall section, and the elevations looking at all three screens at the same time to really do a complete takeoff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The AI Text Search, and the AI Chat's ability to save massive amounts of time scanning plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only downsides of using Togal.AI is it has many of the same restrictions that most cloud based softwares have versus their offline counterparts.

We are often restricted to keep information in one "tab" at a time, where other offline based softwares, we can view more information from one screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
