For the price point, Todyl is easily the best on the market. We can integrate its SIEM with all of our firewalls and Microsoft/Google tenants, among other systems. Their team also supported us through the transition from S1 and helped us onboard our clients to Todyl in under 30 days. **What do you dislike about Todyl Security Platform?** At the moment, there’s really nothing I dislike about the platform. **What problems is Todyl Security Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** One problem Todyl solves is visibility. By having a SIEM across all clients, we can see all security events in real time and truly be proactive. Their MXDR team utilizes the SIEM to mitigate issues. Another thing we love is their MXDR team truly feels a part of our 24/7 SOC. They aren't hiding behind a ticketing system. We have access to them through a Teams channel and can talk to them like their in-house. Our clients are happy with the performance of the Todyl platform and our engineers are happy with how easy it is to navigate. It's a win-win. ### 2. Having a centralized platform that can perform the task of multiple tools and integrate with other platforms and ingest data from other platforms helps us keep it all centralized. SOAR has been a critical aspect for us to protect before analysts have time to respond to alerts, their MXDR team is also top notch. Customer support is excellent and assist wherever required, whether its during onboarding, connectivity within specific client environments, response to cases. Incorporation of Janus (AI) has been instrumental in making better sense of cases, fine tuning SIEM searches which has always been a pain. Account execs work with us on fine tuning our offerings and pricing, overall Todyl has been one of the best products we have incorporated into our offerings. **What do you dislike about Todyl Security Platform?** Query performance on large datasets is an area I'd expect to see continue improving as the platform scales which they are actively addressing using Janus. For time-sensitive work it gets the job done **What problems is Todyl Security Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the biggest aspects is response times, the integrations with o365 with automated response actions is a critical aspect that allows us to take action first then respond, which is crucial in account compromise situations (which we are seeing way too much of recently), followed by the MXDR team promptly addressing them and reaching out to us incase of additional manual remediation required. ### 3. It offers vertical integration and solves the problem of having a fully managed security operations center. I really appreciate the twenty-four-seven security operation center, as it helps us tremendously since we can't staff that internally. We liked the idea of being able to manage everything from one toolset, having one account manager for that, and building a strong relationship instead of managing relationships with multiple vendors. **What do you dislike about Todyl Security Platform?** At the recent summit meeting, we talked more about GRC and the way that we are able to interact with that within the portal and the tools available to us within the portal to manage GRC from more of a client facing way. And I know some updates are happening with that right now. Unless a case is generated by an action, there is little to preempt issues with actions. High level file path exclusions are all that is available ahead of issues. The customized reporting or dashboard gauges are very limited. Also, one area for improvement might be adding more flexibility or customization options for reporting and dashboards. This setup makes it easy to install and straightforward to know where to look and how to respond when an alert or issue arises. But beyond the product, the people behind the product are a big part of our success. The MXDR team responds quickly, taking action and keeping us informed about security incidents. Support is extremely responsive when issues arise. And our Customer Success Manager and Channel Account Manager keep us updated on the latest enhancements. They're not just a vendor, they're truly a partner, working toward our mutual success. **What do you dislike about Todyl Security Platform?** There’s very little I dislike about the platform. If I had to mention something, it would be that the platform is evolving so rapidly, with new features and enhancements being added all the time, that it can be hard to keep up with the latest features. Not that that's a bad thing really. **What problems is Todyl Security Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our clients look to us to protect them from the threats they face, and the threat landscape continues to grow. Prior to using Todyl, we lacked a single, comprehensive solution to offer that could effectively defend against active attacks from threat actors. We had previously reviewed several providers, but none matched the breadth of Todyl’s product or the responsiveness of their SOC team. Some providers would take hours to respond to incidents. By contrast, in the 3 years we've been working with Todyl, I have personally witnessed Todyl’s team react to incidents within minutes, swiftly blocking attacks and assisting us in mitigating any damage. Top to bottom, Todyl is a security solution that checks all of the critical boxes. With modular or package pricing, it is a fit for every organization that wants to take security seriously. Setting up a new client is a matter of checkboxes. A single agent makes it have light overhead. It integrates with most major cloud platforms and their documentation is easy to follow. When there is an issue, their support is fast, friendly, and reliable. **What do you dislike about Todyl Security Platform?** I wish the endpoint security solution were more granular. **What problems is Todyl Security Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We initially started using Todyl because of their SASE solution. Other SASE solutions are either less robust and/or require a device on premise. Todyl doesn't. Install the agent, assign the license, and the devices are connected and can be configured for Zero Trust networking. We were then able to replace Webroot and Bitdefender with Todyl EDR, which gave more telemetry and insight into malware and compromises. All of this activity ingests into the SIEM which logs and tracks what is happening. Adding on the MXDR service gives us 24/7 eyes on the environment. Add some integrations such as Microsoft 365 into the SIEM and now our customers are working in a tight and monitored environment. For those who have compliance requirements, Todyl has that covered as well with their GRC platform. However, one of the biggest successes i have with Todyl is the control factor i have from threat hunting through the SIEM, to control over the devices and level of security i need to implement. The way that they listen to their clients and add more features that are important to us as MSP's is outstanding and a huge plus. **What do you dislike about Todyl Security Platform?** There isn't really any dislikes to the todyl security platform. The GRC system they had was a bit clunky but they have been making huge improvements on it and just a few more to make it a fully function addon **What problems is Todyl Security Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Todyl is my core go-to platform. I have used it for over 7 years, and they seem to stay ahead of the curve, implementing new controls and features that are making it cheaper and better for MSP's. There is no way our security team could manage the amount of data and alerts generated by the SIEM, let alone respond to alerts as quickly as needed, Todyl's MXDR team has proven an invaluable resource for evaluating and taking first actions on alerts. They've helped us stop dozens of account compromises this year before any damage is done, drastically improving the outcomes for our clients. They also are constantly improving their product. Their integration with our PSA system went from minimal to great this year, providing us with much better ticketing and statuses on potential incidents. The SIEM gains new product integrations regularly, and the support page just received an update to make searching easier and more effective. **What do you dislike about Todyl Security Platform?** It's missing an NDR component for detecting anomalous movement across networks. **What problems is Todyl Security Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Todyl monitors and responds to security alerts across various platforms, including endpoints, Office 365, and firewalls. I do understand there are a lot of options for many different reasons and aspects and areas to work on stuff but just shorting clicks and digging down. **What problems is Todyl Security Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us look at any kind of alerts threats, or anything that may come into contact with each of our clients devices whether it be the severity of the attack from using you know the score 0 to 100 being able to kind of filter through them whether they be you know one not being critical at all something that may not be malicious to something of the severity score of 99 that is completely malicious that alerts us immediately has a score and we can kind of dig in see some of the coding, he’s kind of Dino, the back the back logs of it and go from there and be able to fish out that pretty quickl **Official Response from Zach DeMeyer:** > Thank you for your review, Ryan! It would be nice if there was an explanation for why the field is invalid. I understand that it might add some UI clutter, but I think it would be better if Todyl would tell you what's wrong. Secondly, while Todyl is great out of the box and with minor configuration tweaks, I find it difficult to build out more complex configurations. We had a particularly strict cyber insurance requirement for one of our customers, and we tried to use Todyl to fulfill it. We followed Todyl's KB to a T, and the configuration just would not work as planned. We spent months going back and forth with support trying to get things to work and eventually had to figure out a different solution. Support did eventually admit that Todyl would not be capable of what we were trying to accomplish, and that they would have to update or remove the KB article we followed.
