For instance, there are consistently periods where the system is bogged down, and the team cannot function. Also the automated remittance and allocation of payment saves time too. 2) With reduce bottle necks and automation - this humans reduce human errors. Previously our accounts payable team spent a lot of time coding invoices and chasing approvals. Tipalti enables us to control spend with clear approval flows, while also reducing speeding up bill processing, which means quicker payments for our suppliers. Tipalti's Supplier Hub also reduces queries from suppliers as they can easily view the status of a bill or payment. From a customer relationship standpoint, implementation was very smooth, and ongoing customer support is very strong. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** Since procurement and accounts payable are two separate modules, there is sometimes a lack of cohesiveness between the two, as they must be administered seperately. Our approvers also enjoy the more streamlined process Tipalti offers in contrast to an older outdated process followed before we moved to Tipalti. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** The recent new screen implementation in the AP Hub was terrible when it was first deployed. The custom fields would routinely time out and seems like the flow slowed tremendously. The upside was that the old screen was still available as an option. The implementation of the royalties platform itself was difficult, and was totally saved by the amazing Tipalti implementation team. The platform itself is really easy to navigate around, and it's easy to find information on previous payments. We were able to customise the exports from Tipalti to import the information into our now outdated finance system. We went from taking months to process our 700+ royalty payments, to hours. Following our great experience with the payments platform, we expanded to the procurement platform, which has also greatly improved our purchasing process, further reducing time taken to make payment runs, and improving the quality of the data we have regarding purchases. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** Some features about the procurement system are rather restrictive in how they can be set up, rendering them not as useful as we initially thought. System speed can also be a bit slow. I used to have to uploads which very aggrevating and time consuming. In addition, the support team is quite helpful when you run into issue. We use Tipalit every single day and the best part about it is that its easy to use. Sending emails to people to approve bills have saved a lot of time as well. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** A few downsides are that if you need to retract a bill then you have to wait for a sync which is like 15 minutes to correct the error. Another issue is when there is a sync error you that says "Contact Tipalti support". A lot of the times I could make the fix myself but I have to reach out to find out what it is which consumes time. other than that it is great! **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tipalti marks duplicats and auto populates coding after 5 or more bills are posted to the same vendor. This saves so much time when you work at a company that receives over 1500 invoices a month. For the duplicates all it takes is a quick check and you can delete them. And for the autopopulation of the coding that is self explainitory. If you are in accounting/accounts payable, you know how nice of a feature this is. ### 17. Spoiler alert: this resulted in many late payments to suppliers and frustrated customers who were affected. Tipalti allowed us to establish an actual process of reviewing invoices, putting them in a queue based on due date, tracking payments, sharing the status of said payments through the portal, and giving our team access to centralized information. In addition, we now have full control over our own funding and currency conversion instead of managing confusing forward contracts and risking big swings. I highly recommend Tipalti's accounts payable solution. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** Although the intital implementation and transition was somewhat painful (2 years ago), we have been sailing on easy street since. It has revolutionized our invoice approval process and streamlined our communications with buyers within our company. My favorite feature is the bill audit trail. No more blaming AP for late invoice payments! We were really struggling with paying our vendors on time. Started to have a reputation for not paying our bills. Our largest pain point was trying to get managers to approve and code invoices with a quick turnaround! Our ERP system is old and did not have a natively built approval system outside of purchase orders. We relied on sending daily emails with PDF invoices attached to have managers review and approve for payment. This was very cumbersome for approvers, because they would need to download the PDF, edit it with a signature approval, save, then email back to AP for payment. Very time consuming! Lost of invoices getting lost in the shuffle! With Tipalti, we have one platform now to approve, code, and post invoices. One account to login and review. Bills no longer disappear without a trace. The platform has provided a lot of transparency that our company needed and virtually eliminated the pain point of invoice processing. We have been vastly improving vendor relations by paying our bills on time. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** We had a rough implementation that took almost a year to implement. Part of the issue was internal turnover in our IT department so the scope and the timeline for creating the CSV file integration took 6 months when Tipalti advertised it would be 6 weeks. I think if we had better vetted an implementation partner it would have come sooner. We also struggle with vendors wanting to receive payments via PO Box. Once the AI learns your codes, you just have to review and submit them! Easy breezy! **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** If you have a lot of dialed in customizations, when you make any changes to those, Tipalti will have syncing issues. However, these are typically easy to detect and find a work around or have support fix the issue and update they sync. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been using Tipalti for three year now and continue to be very satisified with the software and how easily it integrates with NetSuite. Approval routing and the need to better faciliate payment with out a physical signature on a check. Key employees are able to approve bills and payments while traveling, which greatly reduces the lead time on getting payment distrubted. Onboard vendor, code invoice, request approvals, pay bill. One-stop shop. Convenient. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** I don't like how Tipalti doesn't sync up to Sage perfectly. The credit memo's always have a bill attachment error. The vendor tax information does not sync over. And then there are random sync errors that we take care of fairly regularly. Also, not a fan that there isn't a transparent audit trail. Approvers can change coding when approving and it won't detail the changes they have made within the Audit trail. This can be troublesome and cause confusion. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving organization and approval chain processes. And the convenience to pay invoices within the system once bills are approved. ### 26. As with all sytems there are occasional bugs, and they help navigate the scary world of support. The biggest pain point is already being worked, to deliver solutions with the coming upgrades, so hopefully wont affect any new customers. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Over the last 2 years, our company has tripled in size - without any increase in AP headcount. If anything, new products, such as Cards, have help turn the team into a net-profit center! Who doesnt love getting paid, to pay bills! ### 27. This would save a lot of time when a bill has multiple lines and the only thing that it changes in each line is the description and the amount. W-9s - it would be helpful if there was a way to save the actual form in Tipalti **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** In the beginning we had a lot of isues related to bills not being matched and synced but I guess these issues had a lot to do with POs that were creatade in NetSuite before our implementation to Tipalti. The majority of what I do on a daily basis resides within Tipalti and the ease of use puts Tipalti above any other payment processing system. **What do you dislike about Tipalti?** There isn't much to dislike about Tipalti, however if I had to choose something it would be the random updating of their interphase without much, or any, notice. There can sometimes be delays with submitted support tickets due to a portion of their team residing in Israel. **What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?** With a recurring monthly mass payout that is completed by me, Tipalti prevents us from having to individually pay thousands of people per month thanks to their mass payout functionality.
