**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

What I like most about Tipalti is how it simplifies our payment processes. The system handles everything from approvals to payments with minimal manual work, and the integration with QuickBooks and soon with Netsuite has been a big help. It’s a huge relief to know invoices are syncing correctly without duplicating records. The approval workflows are also super helpful—it’s easy to set them up to ensure the right people are reviewing and approving expenses. Plus, their customer support team has always been responsive and ready to clarify workflows or troubleshoot issues.
Another standout is the attention Tipalti gives to adding features that make life easier. For instance, the introduction of the pay-by-card option is something I’ve been excited about—it adds flexibility and even provides rebates, which is great for the company. We’ve also submitted a few feature requests, like inserting one-time approvers and paying suppliers per invoice, and I appreciate that Tipalti is open to feedback. The system has lightened our overall workload and improved how we manage accounts payable.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

We’ve experienced a couple of technical issues, like invoices appearing blank after approval, but these seem to be isolated cases, and Tipalti’s support team has been quick to escalate them. Overall, the system works well, but there’s always room for a few tweaks to make it even more efficient.

**What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tipalti helps us streamline our accounts payable process, making payments to vendors quicker and less manual. It solves issues like approval tracking and syncing invoices across systems without duplication. The multi-entity support is a game-changer as we transition parts of our operations to Netsuite. It’s also improving vendor payment options with features like pay-by-card, offering flexibility for suppliers and cashback rebates for us. Overall, it saves us time, reduces errors, and adds value to our processes.

there is nothing positive except some employees in the integration team, but it's not their fault they work for thieves

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

A completely dysfunctional platform. We couldn’t use it even for a single day and immediately requested a refund. Instead, we were told to register on the platform as freelancers and pay the money to ourselves.

This wasn’t possible because the system doesn’t accept European bank details. After multiple explanations, they finally agreed to issue the refund manually but warned it would take a long time. We agreed. A month later, they again told us to register as freelancers. We repeated that we couldn’t - and since then, complete silence.

It has now been six months since we requested the refund. They no longer respond to emails. Our money - just over €3,000 - is gone. Tipalti is unlawfully withholding funds and ignoring all communication. Completely unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money on them. Strongly not recommended.

they have unfortunately only created problems for us, a lot of wasted time and money.

Its ability to handle the very complex approval flow we need for our PO approvals.

The lack of multi currency payments per supplier.

Its allowing the PO to go through a very complicated approval flow with ease. 
It keeps an audit trail of the comments and questions asked about a PO by the approvers in the one place rather than on a million emails.  
We can see the upcoming payments going out in a simple and quick way for help with cashflow.
We can restrict who sees what PO's so information isnt just available company wide.
We can duplicate common PO's for speed of setting them up each quarter.

Tipalti seriously changed the game for us. What used to be a mess of emails and spreadsheets is now smooth and super easy. Vendor setup, invoice approvals, and payments all happen in one place, and the whole process feels effortless. It saves us time, keeps things organized, and just works.

Huge shoutout to Brianna for making onboarding a breeze — she was super attentive, quick to answer questions, and made sure everything ran smoothly from day one. We’re never going back.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

Tipalti has made our AP process way more efficient, and overall it's been a great tool — but one area that’s been a bit frustrating is account mapping. Whenever we update our chart of accounts, it can get complicated to sync everything correctly. It’s not always intuitive, and we’ve had to do some manual workarounds to get things to flow properly.

Still love the platform, but hoping future updates make that part more flexible and user-friendly.

Before Tipalti, our AP process was totally manual — chasing down approvals, entering invoices by hand, and constantly following up with vendors. It was time-consuming and easy to mess up.

Tipalti changed all that. Now everything’s in one place and automated — from vendor onboarding to payments. It’s saving me hours each week, cutting down on errors, and letting me focus on more important work instead of just data entry

Tipalti streamlines your invoicing process.  You can see old invoices, see where in the process things are, set requirements about what happens if things aren't approved and more.   As a user, I couldn't be more pleased and I awarded the accounting person that led the implementation a "customer success" coin for his work using Tipalti to improve the process.

The only downside I've seen is we don't have historical data in the system so I still had to go to emails to find old invoices prior to when we started with them.

Tipalti makes it easy to pay invoices.  You can see history and when people have approved/what stage in the process an invoice is.

The ease of importing invoices and the OCR means we save a lot of time. Quick customer support.

There is no option for processing supplier Credit Notes.
The 'bill reference code' column in the Payments tab on supplier view is useless, should reference the actual invoice number for ease. Shame this can not be customised.
'Mark bill as paid manually' - batch name reverts to Tipalti reference after inputting our own.
When credits are applied to invoice during payment, this does not export to NetSuite meaning that manual application is needed on NS.
Suppliers complain about the payment method they do not understand on their remittance email - 'eCheck' means nothing in the UK - should be 'BACS' or 'Bank Transfer'

Tipalti has replaced our internal TIN verification process. Tipalti provides duplicate invoice alerts, which saves us valuable time. Tipalti has various filters to choose from when reviewing bills for payments. Tipalti provides a real-time account statement to help with reconciliation.

The system makes it easy to batch payments, track pending transactions, and handle approvals, even within a smaller company setup like mine. Credit notes are not recognised correctly on OCR - Credit notes are not a negative invoice!
Supplier invoice numbers not visible on payment screen- shows Tipalti reference only
Any invoice changes once processed don't flow through well to Netsuite
Very difficult when paying things outside of Tipalti wallet, direct debit for example. Tipalti will automatically post a payment on current date to Netsuite
When a supplier payment is made that comprises of credit notes and invoices, this must be manually applied in Netsuite it does not allocate these
OCR scan is not reliable when using different entities, it is very often wrong and needs manually changing
OCR scan is unreliable when entering vat. It will often scan this as an expense line and then will try to add vat on top of vat!!

The implementation team was a pleasure to work with, they were patient, kind, and knowledgable.  Tipalti offers the ability to have all your vendors in one place to ease payouts.  Any time we've had an issue to address, they've always been quick to reply with help.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

The KYC form needed to fill out at the beginning of the set up process was pretty tedious but not a deal breaker by any means.

**What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tipalti is allowing us to have all of our payments all in one place, and also saving some of our overseas vendors money as their fees are less than what we've used in the past.

The user functionality for invoice processing is very smooth and easy to use. Our system is integrated with our accounting software meaning all expenditure data is automatically booked. This has saved further time with month end work.

Being able to add invoices into an existing payment batch would be beneficial.

**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

Tipalti has been great at simplifying and managing our payment processes. The platform’s ability to handle payments across multiple entities—like our UK and US operations—has been a game changer for us. One thing that stands out is the automated reminders for brands to onboard, which takes a huge communication burden off our team. The integration with other tools, like the sandbox environment for testing, has also made the transition smoother and helped us work confidently toward scaling our payments globally.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

There are some small UX elements, like button visibility in the iframe, that caused initial confusion for our brands. However, the team has been quick to address these issues once flagged, which makes us confident in their commitment to improving the experience. Overall, these are minor in the grand scheme of things. 

There's also a difficulty with the amount of users we can have on the platform and the pricing strategy around this seems a little unfair.

Tipalti is helping us automate and streamline our global payments, especially across our UK and US entities. It’s reduced manual work, like chasing brands for details and handling compliance checks, by providing automated reminders and ensuring smooth onboarding. It’s also setting us up for future growth by allowing advanced integrations like APIs and minimising manual effort for our team.

**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

Tipalti is easy for vendors to set up and maintain their portals. The sync with QBO is virtually flawless. I also appreciate the multi levels of approvals. Customer support is responsive and quick with easy issues, though some more intricate issues do take time to unravel.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

The biggest issue I had was with a US vendor accidentally getting paid with Myanmar currency. I have absolutely no idea how this happened as I have it in the settings to default to USD. It took Tipalti a couple of weeks to get the money back from the vendor's account and then I had to reissue payment. My vendor was not happy. 

I would also like the option of requesting that vendors resubmit their W-9's annually. When they create their portal is the only time I can get a W-9 from them and we have a policy that we need new W-9's from vendors each year.

I do wish the timing of pushing invoices through the approval process was instantaneous, but there is a lag of typically 5-30 seconds. Occasionally, it has been a couple minutes. I'm sure this can't be helped though.

There's a learning curve to understanding all the features and requirements, but it leans more on the intuitive side. So, getting up to speed is quick.

As a primary coder of invoices, I find using Tipalti very easy. The UX/UI of this software is great and works smoothly. We are using the 3-way match, and once we moved to API integration between Tipalti and SAP B1, I cannot complain about the accuracy. All basic features you should expect from AP software are available, and they cover most of our needs. While I was not part of the implementation process, the transition to API integration between Tipalti and SAP B1 has been smooth. Vendors onboarding with Tipalti do not complain, and the communication Tipalti sends out is very helpful, especially once payments are submitted. What is the most important, all my daily AP tasks can be done through Tipalti, which has significantly reduced my workload.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

I wish reporting could be done directly within Tipalti's interface without the need to download CSV files.

**What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to manually enter data (invoices and payments) anymore, which saves me a ton of time and cuts down on mistakes. Onboarding new vendors and keeping them updated about payments is smooth, which helps maintain good relationships. I do wish the reporting could be done directly in the app without downloading CSV files, but the available tools still help manage our financial data effectively. Tipalti saves our company time, reduces errors, and makes everything run more smoothly. It's a reliable tool that streamlines our accounts payable processes.

1) Automation - since using Tipalti. So much bottle necks have been removed. This includes manually entering various data and processes such as suppliers invoices, date, currency, amount and accounts code. The technogly OCR scan of Tipalti enables these to be prefilled saving time. Also the automated remittance and allocation of payment saves time too.
2) With reduce bottle necks and automation - this humans reduce human errors. Human errors cost time and money to fix and is also demorlising and stressful.

For the UK GBP based banks. Unable to do same day faster payment. Currently it only allows ACH / BACS

Tipalti automates a lot of our procure to pay workflow. Previously our accounts payable team spent a lot of time coding invoices and chasing approvals. Tipalti enables us to control spend with clear approval flows, while also reducing speeding up bill processing, which means quicker payments for our suppliers. Tipalti's Supplier Hub also reduces queries from suppliers as they can easily view the status of a bill or payment. From a customer relationship standpoint, implementation was very smooth, and ongoing customer support is very strong.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

Since procurement and accounts payable are two separate modules, there is sometimes a lack of cohesiveness between the two, as they must be administered seperately. I would also like a more streamlined way to reconcile Tipalti wallets - it would be great if Tipalti could leverage its ERP integrations and provide a direct bank feed for bank reconciliations.

Our vendors truly like the supplier portal for tracking their invoices, but also for the ability to update their information.  The portal has also reduced email traffic by allowing vendors to update their own information.  Our approvers also enjoy the more streamlined process Tipalti offers in contrast to an older outdated process followed before we moved to Tipalti.

The recent new screen implementation in the AP Hub was terrible when it was first deployed.  The custom fields would routinely time out and seems like the flow slowed tremendously.  The upside was that the old screen was still available as an option.  The new screens have greatly improved since the initial deployment.

Tipalti has streamlined our invoice approval process significantly!  One of the great benefits is the reduction in email inquiries which has saved our staff a lot of time which translates into increased productivity.  It has proven itself to be the solution we were looking for!

**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

Tipalti integrated with our new royalties platform to streamilne the process of updating bank details and paying our royalty recipients. The implementation of the royalties platform itself was difficult, and was totally saved by the amazing Tipalti implementation team. 

The platform itself is really easy to navigate around, and it's easy to find information on previous payments. We were able to customise the exports from Tipalti to import the information into our now outdated finance system. We went from taking months to process our 700+ royalty payments, to hours. 

Following our great experience with the payments platform, we expanded to the procurement platform, which has also greatly improved our purchasing process, further reducing time taken to make payment runs, and improving the quality of the data we have regarding purchases.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

Some features about the procurement system are rather restrictive in how they can be set up, rendering them not as useful as we initially thought. System speed can also be a bit slow. However, the core functionality works great.

**What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Length of time making mass payments and recording these in our finance system - This saves us a huge amount of processing time. Control systems around purchasing - Approvals and payments - Which means we can keep a better handle on our costs and also improves the accuracy of our accruals.
