I like Tipalti for its minimalist interface and only-needed functionality. It really helps my eyes not to look for what I need but find it in seconds.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

The visualized analytics is something that is truly missing. Table reports are awesome, but they take more time to be able to look into data compared to a graph or chart that would show you trends.

**What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Tipalti to submit and track business expenses. It acts as the source of truth for all billed expenses, facilitating reimbursement. I appreciate its minimalist interface and needed functionality, helping me find what I need quickly.

**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

We are now integrating Vendor invoices and payments using OCR and this feature will be extremely useful and helpful in decreasing our daily workload. Cutting down on having to call to verify bank details as vendors enter their own details. Very excited for this.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

There should be a way to select multiple bills within the Payee profile screen for that one payee instead of having to go to the Pending Payments screen.

**What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have thousands of Creators to pay weekly and Tipalti takes the stress out of having to manually enter all ACH banking informations for each.  Security wise, there is always constant communication from the Tipalti team when a clients information changes or there are any red flags.

What I like best about Tipalti is how effortlessly it handles complex payment workflows, especially for global payouts and royalties. It automates the entire process — from vendor onboarding and tax compliance to accurate, on-time payments — which has significantly reduced manual work and errors. Managing royalty payments used to be time-consuming, but with Tipalti, it’s smooth, reliable, and scalable as we grow. It truly takes the stress out of financial operations.

What I dislike about Tipalti is that the interface can feel a bit unintuitive at times, especially when trying to navigate detailed reports or make specific customizations. There’s also a bit of a learning curve initially, and support response times could be faster in some cases.

Tipalti is solving the problem of managing complex, high-volume global payments and royalty disbursements. It automates vendor onboarding, tax compliance, approvals, and payments — all in one platform. This has saved us a huge amount of manual effort, minimized errors, improved compliance, and ensured faster, more reliable payments to partners and creators. It’s made our finance operations much more efficient and scalable.

**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

As an Accounts Payable associate managing hundreds of payments every month across multiple global entities, Tipalti has become an essential part of my daily workflow. The platform’s automation, clarity, and reliability have significantly streamlined our payment processes. What once required extensive manual effort is now faster, more accurate, and far more efficient.

Tipalti allows me to manage high volumes of international payments with confidence, ensuring vendors are paid on time and in their preferred methods while maintaining compliance across regions. The visibility into payment status, audit trails, vendor onboarding, and tax documentation has reduced friction in our operations and minimized back-and-forth both internally and externally.

Overall, Tipalti has made the AP function more seamless and scalable. It supports the complexity of operating across multiple entities and currencies, and it allows me to focus more on value-added work rather than repetitive tasks. It has truly elevated the way our team manages global payables.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

While Tipalti has greatly improved many parts of our AP process, there are a few areas where I’d love to see continued enhancement. One challenge is that payment failures or sync issues with our ERP don’t always come with clear explanations or definitive resolutions, which can make troubleshooting more difficult. Additionally, the current invoice approval workflow is limited—approvals must follow a set order rather than allowing for dynamic routing based on amount, department, or other criteria. More flexibility in this area would make the process more efficient for our team.

Tipalti solves the problem of allowing large payment batches, instead of having to issue individual wires. Tipalti solves the problem of being able to make payments to banks all over the world in many different currencies.

I really appreciate Tipalti's support team, who are both friendly and provide helpful solutions, making any issues I encounter much easier to handle. The initial setup of Tipalti was really easy, mainly because we received a lot of support during the first days, which made the transition smooth. I value the functionality that Tipalti provides for payments and invoices, allowing us to efficiently manage transactions, especially with the diverse countries involved in our processes. Additionally, having Tipalti as a source of AP information is incredibly beneficial as it consolidates our accounts payable, simplifying payment processes across different regions.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

For some payments over $75,000, it takes a lot of time to process. Tipalti can withdraw the funds from our bank account, but this process takes four days, causing delays in our payments.

I use Tipalti to manage payments to contractors and vendors globally, centralizing AP information. It simplifies payments and invoicing, though large transactions can be slow. The support team is excellent, assisting during setup, but cross-border payment delays need improvement.

**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

What I like best about Tipalti is how user-friendly and reliable it is. The interface makes navigating and managing tasks simple, and it works really well for someone like me who’s handling accounts payable on my own. The integration with NetSuite has saved a ton of time, particularly with bank reconciliations and cutting out the need for manual journal entries. I also really appreciate the efficiency it brings to our invoice processing and payment workflows—it’s helped us shorten our month-end close by a full day.

Another huge win is the customer support. I always get quick responses, whether I contact our account rep or hop on a chat. They’re helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem to care about resolving issues. Having consistent points of contact builds a lot of trust too. Plus, the added features like virtual card payments have given us opportunities to earn cashback without disrupting our processes. Overall, Tipalti has made my job easier and freed me up to focus on more strategic tasks.

A “save for later” function would be a great enhancement. Additionally, when our accounting period is locked and approved invoices can’t sync to NetSuite (which is understandable), it would be helpful to have a more efficient way to mass update invoice dates. Currently, we need to retract approval on each invoice individually, adjust the date, and re-approve — a bit time-consuming for monthly cycles.

Overall, Tipalti remains a strong and valuable tool in our AP workflow, and with a few usability enhancements, it could be even better. We’re excited to see how the platform continues to evolve.

As a user, I couldn't be more pleased and I awarded the accounting person that led the implementation a "customer success" coin for his work using Tipalti to improve the process.

The only downside I've seen is we don't have historical data in the system so I still had to go to emails to find old invoices prior to when we started with them.

Tipalti has been great at simplifying and managing our payment processes. The platform’s ability to handle payments across multiple entities—like our UK and US operations—has been a game changer for us. One thing that stands out is the automated reminders for brands to onboard, which takes a huge communication burden off our team. The integration with other tools, like the sandbox environment for testing, has also made the transition smoother and helped us work confidently toward scaling our payments globally.

There are some small UX elements, like button visibility in the iframe, that caused initial confusion for our brands. However, the team has been quick to address these issues once flagged, which makes us confident in their commitment to improving the experience. There's also a difficulty with the amount of users we can have on the platform and the pricing strategy around this seems a little unfair.

Overall, the payer and payee portals are well designed. The OCR feature works reasonably well. The number of payment options offered is great. In short, a big step forward from our ERP only process.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

I cannot recommend Tipalti to anyone looking to integration their product with NetSuite. Their integration engineering team delayed our implementation by two months after failing to inform us that there was a known issue when mapping the project/customer transaction line field if you have a significant number of customers. We were only able to move forward after giving up on their support and implementation manager to understand, much less fix the issue. 

Further, the product doesn't have minor guardrails to prevent NetSuite integration errors during the 3-way match process. For example, matching multiple bills lines to a single PO line will cause an error. This requires the entire matching/approval process to be redone. Some very modest development work could prevent this.

Finally, after going into our second year with the product, we've had the integration simply fail to run either entirely or for specific records on six separate occasions. Tipalti does not actively monitor their integration jobs and it is up to the customer to notify their support team of any issues. Usually, this takes 3-4 days to be escalated to someone capable of fixing the issue on their engineering team. 

Bottom line, if you're on NetSuite you cannot trust that the product will work for you consistently. 

There are a number of inconsistencies with the UI design. Every page of the bill processing workflow looks like it was designed by a different team. Additionally, many of the relevant actions are not available when viewing a bill directly. Rather, you must find the bill from the list page to get access to the needed actions. 

We struggled to work with our Tipalti implementation manager. He had no project plan for implementation, did not know his project, and was not knowledgable about the NetSuite integration. We had to insist on being assigned a new implementation manager. He was only marginally better organized but we essentially implemented the product ourselves wherever we were able to. 

Lastly, charging user licenses for any privileged user is ridiculous for this class of software and should be included in the base price.

Tipalti provides a payee portal and automated payment processing that was missing from our NetSuite only workflow.

A completely dysfunctional platform. We couldn’t use it even for a single day and immediately requested a refund. Instead, we were told to register on the platform as freelancers and pay the money to ourselves.

This wasn’t possible because the system doesn’t accept European bank details. After multiple explanations, they finally agreed to issue the refund manually but warned it would take a long time. We agreed. A month later, they again told us to register as freelancers. We repeated that we couldn’t - and since then, complete silence.

It has now been six months since we requested the refund. They no longer respond to emails. Our money - just over €3,000 - is gone. Tipalti is unlawfully withholding funds and ignoring all communication. Completely unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money on them. Strongly not recommended.

Biggest time save we have found in the first instance is with our payment run. Getting authorisations upfront in the AP processing means our payment runs are as quick as the touch of a button.

Onboarding was quick and easy, all thanks to Leslia who walked us through the whole way.

Finding the correct settings I'm looking for to adjust is not always intuitive and can take a minute to work out (or be shown) where they are.

**What do you like best about Tipalti?**

Once implemented, Tipalti's ease of use for our finance team has made it much easier and less time consuming to pay our publishers.  The inclusion of tax form submission and verification process has also been a big improvement.

**What do you dislike about Tipalti?**

It would be helpful for Tipalti to provide more expansive customization options for their iFrame and more support for their REST API methods.

**What problems is Tipalti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving our finance team time to handle publisher payouts each month.  Tipalti is a big improvement from our previous use of Quickbooks desktop.
