Ease of use. Easy to connect several data sources, especially after the implementation of the TX Rest connector. This enables users to set up API connections more easy than through the CDATA connector with the necessary RSD files. Although some improvements can still be made. The drag and drop interface easily allows for transformations with low-code/no code and easily integrates the incremental and history features when necessary in the datawarehouse. The customer support is easy to reach, responds quickly and helpfully. Furthermore, the integration of the Orchestration, orginally from Exmon, now allows for an integrated and holistic way of loading all data, from every datasource up to the final data visualization tooling. Next to that, TX now will keep the v20 version alive, which is a lifesaver for some of our clients that do not want their repository ending up somewhere in the cloud. The new (6xxx) version of TX hasn't been an improvement in all aspects of the new functionalities; some functionalities are lost. The ODX server and the fact that the repository is not available anymore, leads to loss of valuable information in case of connectivity issues and/or errors. The ability to simply load from ODX all the way up to semantic models in one simple execution package is less efficient, due to the data on demand functionality. We have had cases where loading a full ODX load and then the full datawarehouse was more efficient in terms of time than when using the data on demand functionality. Due to it's low-code, drag and drop feature, non-technical person can also use the tool effectivelly and design and rapidly deploy Data Warehouse. The standard connectors especially with SAP is amazing and helps to start extracting data virtually in no time compared to manual deployment. One Click deployment is an amazing feature. It's an extremely good and esay -to-use tool and I will recommand the same to custoemrs. The team is extremely good in supporting to customers and partners and gives quick and appropriate response. Also the community is extrement active and supports each-other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the downside I see currently is custom code (Procedures, Functions and Views) Execution, for every change we have to deploy the same. Else it is perfectily fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many features that makes the developers life easier. Once you learn it, it is easy to use. Easy to integrate data sources. Good overview of large scale data warehouse projects and has necessary tools to manage big solutions. Very good customer support that is helpful and quick to respond. Helpful online community. Lots of new development is happening with the product. Easy process to promote work from development to production, which makes it a very quick automated process. Hard to implement, need consultants to do it. Hard to work with more than 2-3 developers. There are limited safeguards for working with multiple developers and it is required by the team to have a good "way of working" to to avoid development conflicts.
The promoting work from development to production unfortunetaly requires everything in development to be pushed to prod. An improvement would be to be able to only promote selected work that is production ready. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Getting export data from the ERP system uniformly into the TimeXtender desktop app, then format, cleanse, filter, combine, homogenize and recalculate the data in each table, set relations between tables and build complex data models, export the finalized model to an endpoint such as Power BI for visualization. The structured approach, presentation in the desktop app and automated documentation allow for multiple developers to work on the same model. When the desktop app works as intended, it's a pleasure to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since TimeXtender is under continuous development, bugs and errors popping up are also continuously being fixed, mostly by the users through the TimeXtender support community - who are very knowledgeable, responsive and helpful, but still this is annoying when it happens. when I started at my current role, I had no experience at all with data warehouse management and creating reports in Power BI. TimeXtender made it a lot easier and workable to manage and transform our data for reporting. Also customer support is really helpfull Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when working on custom queries, with the help of internet, It is not applicable in TimeXtender. I get it working on SQL management Studio, but not in TimeXtender. Also, the amount of information available on internet is limited in my opinion. Mainly the forums, in which peolpe share their problems and solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use ExmonDM the most. What I like most is the idea of having all our homeless data in one place. I also like the featue that allows you to create SQL commands that run automatically when adding data or saving data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it is a bit rigid, some errors appear and I don't even know what they mean. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Building up the DSA/MDW layers is done quickly and efficiently without writing extensive code.
I like the simplicity of it yet as a developer I'm able to do some really great custom work as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's no true dark-theme for the desktop application (as of yet)... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ETL process development and management are significantly simpler when using the drag-and-drop interface and visual data flow representation as opposed to writing intricate scripts. This enables me to work more efficiently and concentrate on the analytical facetsbof my work, such as cleaning and transforming data.
Timextender excels at data integration as well, enabling mento link to multiple sources and compile data into a single data warehouse.
This makesbit easier to access data for additional reporting and analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a vendor lockin period and it is not effective for other data management tasks. Before we dive in e should consider it's licensing fee and some requirement for SQL knowledge for full optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The advantage of TimeXtender are its ease to use and capacity to otpimize data workflows. It is simple to use, so as to work easily with data transformation and analysis instead of getting confused by complicated coding. The Timextender expedited their data integration, which results in quicker access to the data I require for analysis. Although complex data flows can be handled.
The amount of data sources I manage easily is due to its easy implementation and responsive customer support that makes it daily use so smooth.
All this is because of its simplicity , data integration tasks are best performed with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are limited details on how easy it is to use with specific external systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That it takes all of the metadata from your data sources to build a datawarehouse solution (very low code). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When working with a lot of developers TimeXtender can be a challange. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The drag n drop functions and the traceability. Data lineage and impact analysis. I also like the easy visuals that shows me the filters per table. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm missing a mapping system. When I have a lot of tables in a silo I often have to scroll a lot among tables I rarely use - I'd wish to filter these out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
