**What do you like best about Timely?**

I started my own small company and needed to be able to track multiple work streams to provide hours to different clients.  With no support staff (yet!) I looked for an easy to use program that was customizable but very thorough in its ability to track projects, hours, emails, web searching, PDFs, and many other tasks.  Timely has been a great products and highly recommend.  They are always asking for feedback on how to improve which I find very helpful and encouraging.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

There is an ability to set some conditions but mainly to exclude tracking (like if you were on eBay, dont every record that) but I would really like it if I could set some specific conditions to always attribute X to Y.  For example, any email to Jack Jones, atribute to Project Alpha, task Admin.   That is not available at this time. I have reached out to Customer Service once or twice about questions regarding capacity and both times they have asked to have that sent as an idea to tech support.

Being able to provide very detailed (if you prefer) level reports on time spent to clients.  It allows me to provide some excellent management to my projects and documentation to

I love that Timely automatically records what I am doing and provides detailed descriptions. It saves me time when I invoice my clients each month, and helps me make more, because I account for all the time I spend, in a very detailed manner.

Sometimes I don't understand how it works. When I am using smartsheet it lumps multiple projects together.

I like that timely checks what sites I have opened the past day so that I know what happened.
That helps a lot.

In my case, as a Linux user. I can't see what apps outside of chrome I have opened. That is something I have to track myself. Same case with phone calls.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

Timely makes it so easy to keep track of multiple clients who have all sorts of projects. And I love the monthly retainer feature that resets itself, so  can keep track of how many hours I've put in for a client in total each month.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Regarding that monthly retainer feature, it used to show me how many hours I'd put in that month in the projects section. Now I have to go into the reports section to see that information. Still, it's a great feature and I love having it.

I admit, there's a lot to Timely I don't use as a solopreneur. I should probably learn more about it, or I wish there was a solopreneur version that was a touch cheaper. But candidly, it's a great app and I'll keep using it.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timely helps me keep track of ALL the time I put in on various projects for my different clients. It's easy to see and easy to report when I do my monthly billing.

System automatically tracks how much time I spend on each document, email, and communication system through my computer.  It is easy to assign time to clients periodically based on review of documents and systems used (and for how long) and produce an accurate invoice.  Reports serve as detailed documentation to attach to invoices.  Integration with QuickBooks makes this easy.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Some of the "integrations" periodically come unattached... which may (uncertain) mean certain activities are not logged for later billing until the integration is reconnected.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

The memory plug in that lists all the activities you've carried out on your computer that day makes it so easy to record your time.  You can use it hourly/daily/weekly and it prompts you to remember which proects you were working on.
The reporting function is great when you need to see how long you've spent on something.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Only criticism is that when you're picking the 'tag' to go along with the activity it keeps that window open even though I then click on the time spent behind it. However, it does close if I click below. Really only a tiny issue.

Ensuring that I can accurately record my time that is then charged to internal customers.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

The best part of Timely is it helps me in tracking my daily usage. It keeps me updated about my working hours and also it gives me a clear view about how and where my time is supposed to be used correctly. It also helps us to get the best possible productivity.

I don't think there is anything to dislike about timely but i feel if there is an option to copy-paste multiple dates would be helpful. All in all its good and helpfull

As A Brand protection analyst, it's difficult to keep track of time and work as you have multiple products to work on. I think this would have been a major problem. But thanks to timely its easily managed.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

While working in a remote environment, there's so much happening at home, and depending on the project, it can feel as though you spent the entire day working on something. Timely helps you accurately understand where you're spending most of your time and allows you to really keep track of projects. Working in consulting requires me to adjust contracts with clients based on the hours worked. Timely is just the perfect solution for project management and billing.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

I would say that the interface of the Hour dashboard is limited. It would be helpful to see a snapshot of how much time has been allocated to a project with a snapshot on the dashboard, instead of just the day,week, month view. I'm aware that I'm able to see this in another section, but there should be options to view everything in one place.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timely solves the problem of knowing how much time is spent on each project. When working with multiple clients that also have more than one scope of work, Timely breaks this down in a really helpful way.

It's so easy to just drag and drop what you have been busy with to the correct task to determine how much time it took. You can also pull a report to see if you have worked overtime. I have seen that my manager can see how much time all the employees have planned and/or available.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Sometimes if you are on one program for a long time but for different clients it doesn't split it up - so you can just work around this by closing the program that doesn't split the times between clients and then re-opening when you need to work with another client. But this is not all programs. Most work very well.

This helps me to see how much time I spent on certain tasks and also to see if I worked overtime and why, and to claim for payment for my overtime. I love using timely!

**What do you like best about Timely?**

The things I like best about Timely are: ability to track time accurately, ability to track time in a detailed manner, using Timely takes less time, using Timley allows me to bill more hours, using Timely allows me to see how I am spending my time. It also allows me to report my time to my clients easily.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Timely misses certain things. For instance, when I am in Smartsheet working on several different client's projects at a time, it reports them all as one block of time and I can't break them apart. It does the same thing in Windows explorer. In outlook, if it took me 5 minutes to write an email, it reports the time as zero. I am not really sure how TImely works and if it's getting the information really correct.

I like that it continuously captures and categorizes activity and that it automatically suggests what tasks and projects it's linked to (once set up). Compared to other time-trackers, the automation is absolutely useful for someone like myself that forgets to track.

I think the reporting could be more robust, particularly as you can't really create a standing report template (I find myself having to manually export, then make a pivot table, then enter that into our timesheets).

**What do you like best about Timely?**

Tracking time was one of my most dreaded tasks as an accountant. Timely makes it easy, fast and fun. I seriously would not be able to do my job as well as I do without Timely. I switch tasks regularly throughout the day and I don't have to worry about starting or stopping timers - the app just runs in the background and does all the administrative work for me. I went from despising time entries to loving them, thanks to Timely.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

I did notice an issue when you change the name of a google doc you're working on, Timely stopped tracking time for that particular document. Sometimes as well if I'm thinking about a task and not active on my computer, the time is not captured so for larger projects I do tend to note my start and stop time.

Removes the need for timers and manually tracking how long you're spending on a task. For managers who flip between multiple tasks daily, it is a huge time saver and ensures we're capturing all our billable time.

I've been using Timely for 5 months now, and I feel it has helped me better organize my time and cut down the activities draining it. It's the first time I've used a time-tracking app and I find it useful.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Sometimes the apps fail to connect correctly so I've had to correct it manually which can be - note the irony - time-consuming. That is their main pain point.

I've made me realize how much time I spend reading emails and now I've tried to improve it. It also has helped me realize that sometimes my work day is very full while others are quiet so I've started to learn how to balance them.

I love that it helps us have visibility on what everyone is doing at all times to better understan the most important needs of our clients. That helps us better price our services and generate (or redistribute) our agency fees.

I wish it was easiert to fill out for people that have similar activities everyday. Some poeple don't always fill out their time sheet because it takes away from their day to day.

We use it to figure out what everyone is doing at all times to make sure that we are investing our time correctly and accordingly to what each client pays. It also helps us create better SOWs and WOWs whenever we have to renegotiate a contract.

I like how easy it was to pick up for new employees, not a huge learning curve at all. I use it often, and it takes me less than 5 minutes to enter my time every pay period. I also really enjoy the integration with my calendar - it's so convenient.

I wish it could send me reminders with the date the timesheet is due. I receive emails but it doesn't include due date.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

Sits largely in the background until it comes time to record hours, then it's a really simple process because I can see all the blocks of time I've spent throughout the day. Also valuable for us is the API as we export time data to our CRM for further reporting and analysis.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Some of our team would like to have a desktop app based manual timer – there is an option on the web interface, but not on the app that sits in your status bar.

We don't bill for our time, but we need to understand the different types of activity that we're spending time on when supporting our customers. This helps us prioritise new features and development areas so we can have maximum impact on customer experience and bottom line.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

The memory function I work with multiple clients throughout my workday and often times forget to change the time tracking for the client so the fact that I have connected apps and it provides memories I can log at the end of the day is a a relief.

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

Can't apply multiple sub tags to a project record. And the task feature hasn't proved to be very useful for tracking upcoming work but it is great to record time allocated to projects.

**What problems is Timely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was missing time allocated to projects since I would forget which clients I had worked on throughout the day so the memory feature allows me to ensure that all my time for each day is allocated to the correct clients for invoicing.

I feel this is very good for tracking machine activities with time duration for reporting or time logging.

**What do you like best about Timely?**

I tried a few other time-tracking softwares before Timely, and was always frustrated that I had to set a timer going or decide in advance (or remember afterwards) what I'd been doing. Timely works so much better, it just sits in the background tracking your activity, and then you can drag different bits of your activity into different projects. I'm always jumping between tasks, so this is extremely useful - can add even just little 5min increments from across the day, and the tracking is detailed enough to allow this. I can also go days or weeks without 'sorting' the activity into projects, and then do it all in one batch, and not worry about having to remember anything - there's enough detail that it's always obvious to me which project the activity belongs to. Super useful!

**What do you dislike about Timely?**

It can be a little fiddly in some ways - I wish there was a way to drag your cursor over a whole list of tasks and add them into the project in one big batch (maybe there is and I just haven't found it yet!) So I end up adding each one individually which can be faffy.

It's allowing me to keep track of how much time I spend on each project, without having to put much (or any) attention on this from moment to moment. I just get on with my day and sort out the time tracking whenever I feel like it, rather than having to commit to any kind of routine.

Timely is extremely easy to use and manage for our small design studio. Its extremely intuative and exactly fits what we needed to simply track our workflow more accurately. All of the interactions we've had with support have been excellent, with any issues sorted right away. Although it probably goes a lot deeper than the way we use it, we just love how we can keep it very clean and simple – its definitely had a massive effect on productivity and billing for us.

Nothing much to say here. It might be good if the system automatically kept the same colour coding for jobs under one client – or there was a way of linking entries to achieve this.

I've always struggled to complete time sheets for my clients. I have ADHD and am not able to consistently log hours. Timely changes that by making it super easy to go back and see exactly what I worked on in the past, and to be able to log that time super easily. It has been a game changer for my invoicing

The only downside I have experienced to date was a small technical glitch where my employee's time wasn't recorded for a short period. The team were super responsive when I emailed them about this though.
