The customer service! Jasper and his team were friendly, responsive and very professional.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

There are some features I have seen in other intranet providers that I'd love to see in TF.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the latest version of TF, the content review process has been greatly  improved. Addtionally, there are a good amount of page layout options and overall, the look and feel is fresh.

ThoughtFarmer was intstrumental in our refresh of our intrantet. They were supportive and knowledgable through the whole process.

Nothing- as I said, they made it easy, kept us on track, and made integration and implementation a breeze.

**What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?**

This is a great tool to help get news out across the company, organize employees, and just documentation in general.  
I am more in a support role and do not utilize all the functions that it provides.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

I do not have anything bad to say about Thoughtfarmer.  We just recently migrated our sitre to the cloud so still learning ins and outs on it

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tech Support was so helpful with our migration.  They were very complete with their planning and were there every step of the way.  
They continued to be there as we worked out a few small post migration issues.  Thank you !

**What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?**

The ThoughtFarmer intranet product has every feature we could ask for, but what really stands out is their customer service. They were with us every step of the way with weekly meetings, quick email questions, even the weekends with their emergency line. We use the product daily to comunicate with staff and have received only positive feedback. ThoughtFarmer is easy and intuitive for admins and users.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

I have no dislikes about the ThoughtFarmer product.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication through the intranet has reduced the amount of "all" emails. We can quickly share updates and connect with other in our organization who aren't local to us. We had an intranet previous to ThoughtFarmer (OnSemble), but it was not user or admin friendly. Help was hard to find, but that has not been the case with ThoughtFarmer. We can easily make changes without having to be computer coders. OnSemble was not user or admin friendly. The customer service aspect was not there for us with OnSemble. We were shifted through multiple CSMs during out implementation because it seemed their turnover rate was high. OnSemble was double the price of ThoughtFarmer for a less than great product. (I tried to include this info in the previous product section, but couldn't select anything from the list).

I thought the customer service was great and the TF inrernal team was great to work with. The new features such as broadcasting are awesome! Implementing it was super easy too.

I wish the platform could be a bit more personalized to the individual user however overall no complaints.

Having a place where all internal commuincation can live and be easiluy accessed. Also has helped with further fostering our sense of community at the firm.

**What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?**

The ThoughtFarmer team' customer support is great and they work with you on solutions and ideas.   They also listen to your ideas and put them forward to their team as enchancement and upgrades.  The implementation team was great and made it very easy in our short time frame.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

Some customization of the tables and rich Text files is still lacking and it would be nice to have a format painter function like Excel.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ThoughtFarmer as our departments intranet for all of our marketing, research and product information.  The ease of use, functionality, and the search function has benefited our department versus our old intranet.

TF allow us to share quick links accross the firm and provide all the accurate, most reliable and updated informtaiton to members of our firm and they can access it by navigation or semantic search which is great.

**What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?**

There are so many amazing aspects to ThoughtFarmer's interactive intranet platform. I brought an interative intranet to my company for the first time they had ever experienced one. Therefore, it was crucial to have an intuitive, insightful, and easy-to-use tool for our staff. I have used other platforms before, but ThoughtFarmer's is not ony the easiest one to use, but also the most professional and functional. After less than a year, internal communication has been transformed and is thriving now at RICK Engineering, with the RICK Hub (our ThoughtFarmer intranet) as a center hub for everything and employees more engaged than ever across all of our offices. ThoughtFarmer's staff made our build and enhancements since then incredibly smooth and pleasant. They're always helpful, prompt, and forward-thinking, and absolute pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

I honestly do not have any true dislikes or complaints. The current platform/precess for pulling stistics has shortcomings and is not very easy to use. However, ThoughtFarmer has demonstrated a new stats platform they are working on now and will be launching soon, so we're really looking forward to that.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication and collaboration across multiple offices and separate departments, news/information/resources in once central location, tool that is easy to access and use, intranet access via phones and other devices (app), teambuilding/socialization and sharing opportunites.

We have multiple offices across the country and multiple disciplines within each office, so there is a tendency for siloed situations and difficulty communicating and acollaborating across these areas and regions, Our intranet breaks down those barriers and gives staff incredible communication opportunities. Our resources were previously hard to find, but now everyone knows to go to the Hub, where we have everything very easy to find and searchable. We also have field staff that is not in the office, but they can access the Hub anytime on thier mobile phones and tablets with the app. We previously only had a PDF newsletter bimonthly, but now we have multiple very active news feeds across our intranet with a lot of active participation. With very few staff at our company familiar with intaranets, the ease of use of ThoughtFarmer made adaptation and new use very successful. We're also engaging our staff and providing social opportunities of benefit to our culture with our internet.

Customer support is top-notch. The launch process was great. We like that there are many options that we can customize as needed.

It'd be great to have an image library that all editors can access. Some features are not accessible.

Our previous intranet was hosted on Weebly Squarespace. It had lots of security and accessibility issues and was also a public site. We needed a better system for communicating with staff. We selected ThoughtFarmer because it offered the best price for the best accessiblity.

As a rapidly expanding small business at the time of purchase, we recognized the need for a centralized hub where all our staff could access vital information, 
news, and resources pertinent to their roles. That's where ThoughtFarmer came in. It was straightforward to implement and user-friendly, making it 
an ideal choice for us. It's not overly complex, yet it effortlessly meets all our needs. 

But what truly sets ThoughtFarmer apart is their exceptional support team. If you ever find yourself stuck while configuring your site, you can count on them for assistance. They are not only knowledgeable but also quick to respond, offering valuable recommendations 
and solutions. Also, ready to pivot with business as our needs changed over time.

The restricted options for customization have hindered some of our departments from shaping the platform to meet their specific requirements.

Given our unique organizational structure, creating a one-stop-shop intranet for all employees has been challenging. However, with ThoughtFarmer's assistance, 
we're making strides towards achieving this goal. We are dedicated to fostering an environment of trust and a culture of collaboration, and the intranet is a key

The back end design when it comes to modifying pages could be a bit more intuitive.

ThoughtFarmer has an amazing team behind them and everyone is very nice and knowledgeable. I cant say enough about the quality of support ThoughtFarmer offers.

For what we use it for there isnt much I havent liked about it.

We use our Intranet heavily for employee engagement and collaboration. Its also used for internal communications and story telling.

The best part of this process was how the ThoughtFarmer team held our hands through every phase. I also really appreciated how quickly they responded to questions. For me personally, it was one of my best experiences with a vendor!

There are a few things that I wish were more customizable but I have found that we are able to create work arounds to accomplish most of our goals.

Our team used multiple forms of communication and things would get easily lost in the shuffle. ThoughtFarmer has helped us streamline to a single hub for our corporate communications. We have also been able to centralize documentation and resources. This is a huge win for our organization!

ThoughtFarmer provides an easy to use platform that is not only easy for user to navigate, but also easy for administrators to manage.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

I would like to create templates for common announcements versus duplicating older versions of the announcement (after trying to locate them again in the archives).

**Recommendations to others considering ThoughtFarmer:**

I recommend checking out some of the helpful videos on their product and features. The team at ThoughtFarmer are very easy to work with and collaborate with. I also enjoy the ThoughtFarmer Community as it provides helpful suggestions for improvements as well as great feedback on features.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to ensure staff are following specific pages so they are aware of updates/new posts. The mandatory follow feature has made managing this much easier with user groups. Also, creating the FormsFlow feature for surveys and forms is another feature that has made a significant impact.

We are early users of Thoughtfarmer, as we're a couple of weeks into implementation. Everything thus far from the experience with our AE to the handoff to our proejct team was smooth, and the individuals we've worked with have been helpful, thorough and kind.

One thing the team brought up early on was the wish to have more integration options

We have not had an intranet before. We were doing most of our communication through email and a private records drive. Gives us - the Employee Communications team - a lot of control and flexibility over the intranet that we didn't have with Sharepoint. We can add pages, add sections, restructure the site, enable features - all without the involvement of a specialized IT person. Love that.

The analytics site takes some getting used to and there are some thing we wish we could measure more easily than is possible with the site. However, our Customer Care contact is always available to answer our questions about what is possible with the site so that's really helpful.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had inherited a Sharepoint-based intranet when I started in my role and felt very boxed in with it. There was more we wanted to do with it, more features we wanted to explore, changes we wanted to make to make the site more interactive - but all this could only be done with the help of a Sharepoint specialist. The Thoughtfarmer intranet automatically came with a lot more interactive and intuitive features  (comments/likes, communities, forums, etc) and gives us so much flexibility to make things how we want them. It's nice to see people interacting with our content, and since this is so much easier to use than Sharepoint, it's allowed us to empower more teams to own and manage their own content.

Flexibility for a decentralized model, mobile capabilities, scalable and adaptable.  Intuitive to design and customize pages (which optimize wonderfully for mobile).  Configured and custom cards allow for creative and outside-the-box solutions that foster engagement and innovation and facilitate ease of use.  On a related note, ThoughtFarmer support has been outstanding pre- and post-implementation.  We genuinely feel that our needs and requirements are taken seriously with every effort made to accommodate.  As a ThoughtFarmer customer for over ten years, functionality and service drove our decision to retain ThoughtFarmer as our intranet provider as we recently upgraded and modernized our intranet platform.  We looked at many providers and for the reasons above ThoughtFarmer was the successful solution chosen.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

Overall we are satisfied with ThoughtFarmer; however, we feel core functionality such as auto archiving should be given a higher priority for enhancement.  ThoughtFarmer analytics appears to be cumbersome and not intuitive (perhaps this will change once we gain experience with it).  Administration security seems to be all or nothing; more flexibility with security roles would be an asset, especially in a decentralized model.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal communications are the main benefit of our ThoughtFarmer solution.  This includes mobile capabilities that give employees access to information anytime, anywhere, any place.  This is particularly important as a large number of our employees work offsite or are field workers.  All employees can now receive valuable information in a timely manner.  Other capabilities, such as broadcasting and required reading which can be targeted to specific employee groups, will enhance our communication strategy.

ThoughtFarmer is very easy to use - no need for a technical resource to provide content to your site.  The implementation team was great to work with and any support issues are responded to immediately.  The site is very stable and has never gone down in the 7 years we've been on board.  ThoughtFarmer is constantly looking for ways to better serve their clients and improve the product.  While not completely customizable, the site is very configurable and certainly meets our needs.

Very little.  A true mobile app would be great.  The web version on the phone is ok, but a true app would be fantastic.

With a geographically dispersed workforce it can be difficult to communicate effectively to all stakeholders.  ThoughtFarmer has created a centralized hub where we can share Company news, special events and other goings-on within the organization.  It is a great place to share FAQs, how-to guides and other reference material that our teams use to be more effective and efficient.

ThoughtFarmer customer care and the platform itself are excellent. We appreciate the way they are always updating features by really listening to their customers' needs and wants. Our employees are interacting with the intranet daily to access news & updates and get into work apps. Once you understand how the backend works, it is simple to add / change content ongoing. Overall, it is a positive experience.

We did have a few hiccups with the sync and with initial analytics but the team was great to help troubleshoot. Overall we are happy with the end result and would recommend to others.

I highly recommend ThoughtFarmer. The customer care team is excellent and they really take time to listen and troubleshoot. The platform itself is easy to manipulate once you get the hang of it. Our employees are enjoying our revamped intranet. It provides them with easy access to Company updates, easy links to apps they use daily and a way to connect.

We were sending too many company-wide emails and Thoughtfarmer helped us solve that issue by providing a modern welcoming, inviting place for employees to stay abreast of company news.  

Additionally, with 50+ offices across the state, we needed a way to keep everyone connected; our new intranet is a perfect place for our employees to share a photo of their pet, leave a kudos for a team member and to find contact info for a colleague.

Lastly, we were looking for an up-to-date hub where all information across each department could be easily accessed and searched. Before ThoughtFarmer, our intranet was more of a dumping ground and it was hard to know which content was new and what was old. Now, information is well-organized and easy to find and keep updated.

The configuarability of the website and the multiple ways to convey our company news to users are features that we like best in the ThoughtFarmer product. Also, their customer service and technical support are great. ThoughtFarmer employees are very friendly and helpful. Furthermore, the ThoughtFarmer Community site is a great addition to their customer service. On this site, you get your own domain where you are able to contact ThoughtFarmer support staff directly for issues that are specific to your organisation. Even though Canada is in a completely different time zone as the Netherlands, responses are swift and effective.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

The self-hosting option comes with some disadvantages, although ThoughtFarmer also offers a cloud solution. Furthermore, managing security groups, as well as read and write access for users, can be a bit tedious (although it is worth the effort). Unfortunately, there is no chat function available within the Intranet.

**Recommendations to others considering ThoughtFarmer:**

It is a complete solution for your company's employee intranet supported by an excellent organization that uses a great customer support and tech support team. We are currently looking into migrating the site to the ThoughtFarmer cloud product, which is looking very promising and will contain even more useful functions for our company.

Relevant users from each global entity are able to communicate to the entire organization instantly without using e-mail. Offering the ability to create a variety of forms to various departments has been a real benefit. Set up and successful implementation was a breeze.  Even my users that were not incredibly tech-savvy were able to jump in and get started quickly.  On top of the ease of use, customer and technical support are available, ready, and able to help with any questions or issues that come along.

My users seemed to expect more customization out of the box for more basic settings, but most of this could be considered nit-picking.  The features that mattered most had all the customization we needed for a successful intranet, without the need for add ons.

We have a central location and changelog for essential policies and proceedures, which has taken what was a significant burden off of our policy writers and admins.  The search feature is vital and takes away the guesswork of finding where necessary documentation is located, saving our users time.

Easy to set up fot the site administrators, easy to learn and use for our end users, great out-of-the-box features, integration with Active Directory (perfect for the security, especiallyfor the confidential content).

Management of the files has always been a challenge with ThoughtFarmer, especially editing a file that resides on the Intranet via the desktop connector. It's not really geared for document collaboration and co-authoring.

**What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?**

The Customer Support whether you have a simple question or are facing an issue will always get back to you in a very timely manner, and ensure your needs are taken care of. I've always gotten an answer within 12 hours or so, and they've always been dedicated to resolve your needs in a timely manner.  They're also up-to-date with their ticketing system and have the proper tools to remote in and troubleshoot firsthand if traditional troubleshooting doesn't work.

The interface is very straight forward and pages allow for source code editing and view which brings in a world of customizations that may not be available from just the end-user view.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

Wish there was more source code access for more elements of the website. For example, the product has widgets they call Cards and there are prebuilt in cards that are available, however, you can't easily access the coding or manipulate the card's coding. So if there's system wide changes you'd like to implement, it's limited beyond basic configuration.

I also wish there were more options for template customization as it seems somewhat limited.

**Recommendations to others considering ThoughtFarmer:**

It's a much easier Intranet solution than what others are currently offering out there, and one of the only few that allows additional customization via coding. Meaning if there's an element you'd like to create that doesn't exists, you have that option, and if you don't have the resources to do so in-house, there are options that ThoughtFarmer offers to create those customizations for you.

Their end-user and back end interfaces are always improving and very easy to navigate and figure out for any level of tech savvy user. The site and functions always looks crisp and straight forward. It also makes a great information hotspot for firm wide data, and business information. 

On top of all that, it's hard to find software companies nowadays that provide even basic adequate support, whereas ThoughtFarmer has always gone above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Tagging and document versions have also become a very bonus of having the intrant site. It makes grouping content, regardless of where it sits on the Intranet easier, and document versioning makes it simple to go back and check previous documents, and is really handy as hyperlinks won't ever have to be updated as the url doesn't change when a document is replaced and a new version is made available. It's especially become handy when we have email templates that go out internally utilize links that point to ThoughtFarmer documents as the templates don't require updating.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resource data is all placed in one source, and sharing information has been made much easier with end user friendly features. With the role of supporting staff and lawyers within our  firm, this is one of the few products I get the least amount of support requests for, and when I do, it's usually third party related issues.

It's made accessing and keeping a list of important links as well as personal links (on profile pages) easier and has solved the issue of losing important bookmarks when doing a computer swap or update.

Thought Farmer has been a great tool for the Travel Alberta team to learn, collaborate and engage with each other. As a communications professional, I have never had an Intranet before that has been so well-used by team members and so intuitive and easy to learn! Thought Farmer support is also very responsive and helpful!

Thought Farmer like any other intranet, still requires time on the end-users. Luckily, Thought Farmer is very easy to use!

Thought Farmer has been an excellent internal communications tool for Travel Alberta. We have eliminated the need for 'all-team' emails, and post announcements and news right to our intranet instead. **What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?**

Love the ease of use and ability to customize sub-pages according to the information used. The on-boarding process was seamless, with the ThoughtFarmer team meeting with groups of staff to help them become experts. Support was then provided as they internal champions worked alongside page administrators such as myself to help answer questions and ensure the product we received was the one we were initially promised.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

While not perfect, I wouldn't say that I dislike anything at this point. Making minor changes at points can prove challenging, although I wouldn't consider myself to be an expert like on of the Champions within our organization. If I could improve one thing it would be the search functionality within the site, as you can be overwhelmed with search results at points depending on how pointed your search terms are.

**Recommendations to others considering ThoughtFarmer:**

As with any new software implementation, don't forget to spend additional time during the implementation process to ensure success. Ask questions as more than likely their team has heard it before and will be able to help you out effectively and efficiently.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a compendium or central hub for staff to access information and interact. Benefits that were realized include improving the functionality and professionalism of what we refer to as "Connect". 

Beyond our ability to store information which is easily accessible by all staff, we are able to drive employee interaction by using functionality typically found on social media platforms which most people are familiar with. Like buttons and the ability to comment has helped our company narrow the divide between Corporate and Branch staff, while also housing these responses for all staff to see.

**What do you like best about ThoughtFarmer?**

Our customer support has been fantastic and I enjoy our regular check ins with Hollie Hodge. She stays on top of issues or questions we have and always follows up quickly. We rarely have issues to begin with and enjoy her input on new features that are available that we may not have known about.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

I wish that there were more included features like gamification that did not have an extra cost. Since we're a non profit it's hard for us to indulge in those fun "extra" features.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the ability to customize notifications, those who have opted out of email notifications have had less email overall since switching from our previous Intranet to ThoughtFarmer. We have a much more open collaborative tool that is geared toward the large amount of our staff who are Gen X and Millennials. We have seen an increase in participation and connection with our remote and field staff as well.

Talk with the support folks to see what lessons learned that they have. Any of the TF folks that I've talked to are knowledgeable and have a great understanding of how their product works.

The ThoughtFarmer platform demonstrates the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that the entire team brings to their product. It magnifies the power of the software immensely to have it serviced so well. And ThoughtFarmer's willingness to put development resources into solving each problem and meeting each request is superb.

Calendar integration with Office 365 hasn't been developed yet.

We are essentially using ThoughtFarmer to rethink our entire internal communication philosophy, which previously had relied almost entirely on email. ThoughtFarmer is enabling us to take a "meet-them-where-they-are" approach, and to allow content owners and contributors to speak more directly and efficiently to the groups they work with.

(1) After seven years we've seen multiple improvements and capabilities supplied through free upgrades. (2) Of all the products we use, ThoughtFarmer is the most reliable - never goes down ... seriously. (3) Support is top-of-line, quick, and knowledgeable. (4) Designed to allow multiple contributors. (5) Well-designed notifications. (6) The artistry and genius of functional design makes this a joy to use. (7) It's out-of-the-box ... but we've extended its capabilities through easily-applied, no-fuss applications of their custom cards. Honestly ... no fuss. (8) All their people know their product, and deploy the right people for the right advice.

**What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?**

Sorry, nothing to dislike. Fit for our organization is superb.

(1) Let the ThoughtFarmer team present a proposal. (2) Bring in their professional team - they helped bring together our internal team, brought the company on board, and helped determine our information architecture ... among other things.

**What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

(1) Just created a fully-functioning request system using ThoughtFarmer's forms system. Added advantage that their forms are fully integrated into the intranet, allowing in-product notifications, ID, back-and-forth record of communications, and both immediate reporting/information and long term record-keeping and reporting. All for free on the cloud. (2) For audit purposes, ThoughtFarmer keeps an historical record of actions for each page, and a history of content changes for both pages and documents. (3) We need private areas, approved authors for pages, sections that are only for certain employees, communications, and so on - so ThoughtFarmer security and permissions make it possible. (4) Our business continuity planning includes ThoughtFarmer because of its security, redundancy, record of availability, and cloud hosting. (5) We can use ThoughtFarmer for secure management of critical documents and pages, and at the same time publish them to the desired audience. (6) After seven years, we take for granted ThoughtFarmer's ability to communicate to employees, manage two-way communication between employees, collaborate on projects, host procedures and policies, and always be available and reliable.
