What do you like best about The Stone Edge Order Manager?

The Order Manager has incredibly robust features for a very low price point. The fact that it's open-source code makes it indefinitely flexible. This does everything needed for a typical e-commerce business or retail store. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Stone Edge Order Manager?

What do you like best about The Stone Edge Order Manager?

Best bang for the buck complete e-commerce order management solution, hands down. The workflow and customizability are just not available at this price. I've used Stone Edge since 2007 in production and with my client accounts. Coupled with Quickbooks (local) it can run your entire e-commerce business completely and comprehensively with auto inventory reordering, bulk drop shipping, and automated order processing/printing. I still haven't come across an order management solution that was built so thoughtfully with a built-in roadmap for crawl, walk, run in regards to order processing.

It has a built-in shipping service price shopper which helps keep fulfillment costs down and delivery on time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Stone Edge Order Manager?

It runs locally so it's not on the cloud. Support is hit or miss and you have to push them to get help. There are other 3rd party resources for support though. It does require an intermediate-level software nerd of some kind to set it up properly and it's worth it. I've seen client's set it up really poorly. They end up not using 90% of the awesome features that are key to running an SMB or Enterprise level e-commerce business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering The Stone Edge Order Manager:

It's great for website owners doing 1MM+. It's especially useful for merchants that are managing backorders and preorders, it has a great way to do that. It's a local database though so you have to access it onsite or use a VPN. Also, you need a dedicated computer to host the main database or server if you have 10+ users. It has an incredible workflow for managing backorders, preorders and the forecasted purchasing system is worth it's weight in gold. It has Amazon and Ebay integration to process orders coming in from those channels. The workflow is terrific overall from procuring products to the final shipment of customer orders. Stone Edge was created with a very thoughtful feature set from an industry legend, Barney Stone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is The Stone Edge Order Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used to manually capture and approve all orders then reorder inventory based on guesswork. After implementing Stone Edge, orders would just print out of the printer if they passed fraud, no address issues and we had warehouse stock. I setup the Stone Edge Forecasted Purchasing system and was able to automate purchasing saving time and only reordering items that were selling and in appropriate quantity. I built a 5MM/yr business personally with it and have helped other build 50MM+ businesses with Stone Edge since. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Complete end to end solution for managing or our inventory and orders. We've been able to customize certain features off it it with inhouse staff as well.
