"Software to help throughout the employee lifecycle"

What do you like best about The Predictive Index?

Very accurate insight into employees behavior and natural style. Great for recruiting and interviewing, but also for looking at teams and for individual interactions.

What do you dislike about The Predictive Index?

Could have used more help on the initial set-up. Guessed on a few settings and approaches that were hard to correct later. There was a coach assigned but I didn't take advantage of that resource as much as I should have.

Recommendations to others considering The Predictive Index:

Make use of the coach at the beginning to set it up right the first time.

What problems is The Predictive Index solving and how is that benefiting you?

Assessing and interviewing candidates. Not only do you get insight into their natural behavior, but when you have the jobs built in PI, you can compare the candidate fit for the position. PI then also provides suggested interview questions tailored for the candidate, both for areas that they are a fit, and for traits of the job that they are not a match for. I wouldn't use PI as a decision maker for candidates, but it is one more tool in the tool box to help make the right decision.

"Essential tool"

What do you like best about The Predictive Index?

The PI provides insights into communication styles and dynamics that are essential to help individuals and teams reach their full potential. I've used the Myers Briggs and several other assessment tools and this one is by far the most useful

What do you dislike about The Predictive Index?

If I have to choose one area of opportunity for the PI, it would be the site navigation and frequent changes to where content can be found. My other suggestions appear to have been fixed related to Teams pricing.

Recommendations to others considering The Predictive Index:

Leverage your PI consultant - they are knowledgeable and will help you every step of the way.

What problems is The Predictive Index solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use the PI for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, building teams, promoting and communication coaching. We find that it gives us relevant data quickly to help us determine better questions to ask during hiring-and exceptional insights to set people and teams up for success. Understanding drivers is extremely powerful.

"The PI software enables our hiring process to be a team sport!"

What do you like best about The Predictive Index?

A fantastic tool that guides us through recruiting, hiring and onboarding. PI job reports have been instrumental in helping us write more creative job descriptions!

What do you dislike about The Predictive Index?

The only downside is that there are not enough hours in the day to learn and operationalize all the tools that the software has to offer.

What problems is The Predictive Index solving and how is that benefiting you?

A PI readback with every new employee is part of our onboarding process and creates an equitable way to engage with each person and empower them to celebrate their strengths!

"Incredibly Valuable Tool"

What do you like best about The Predictive Index?

PI goes incredibly in depth to help its users understand what makes them tick (as well as their coworkers). Specifically, I love the simple graphs and charts that provide a snapshot--you don't have to read through a lengthy profile (you can, if that's your thing). But you really can infer a lot from the graphs.

What do you dislike about The Predictive Index?

Nothing really. We had a consultant come in and facilitate some courses. We like to joke around the office that PI and our consultant Allison might have been some of the best money we ever spent. We had some great people in roles that were terrible fits for their personalities--this helped us align their skills and natural tendencies with roles that were better matches.

Recommendations to others considering The Predictive Index:

Invest money in a consultant to implement and train the team on their results. Our consultant spent a lot of time with leadership and it was the best money we ever spent. A good expert on PI can really drive home the key components of each personality.

What problems is The Predictive Index solving and how is that benefiting you?

Again, we had some people that maybe were bigger picture than they were spreadsheets, but we had them buried in details. Similarly, we had people who wanted to get support tickets and knock them out, and we had them leading customer calls. So we've aligned a lot of our top performers with roles that will allow them to continue to add value and keep them around. We've also started looking at top performers and their personality types and creating role definitions to see if potential candidates are a good fit. We don't automatically block anyone from applying, but we can have a candid conversation during the interview process with what the role entails.

"Applicable insights for better functioning teams"

What do you like best about The Predictive Index?

Predictive Index provides information that allows you to see your strengths. In concert with your colleagues, you can better understand how to work together successfully as a team. I learned that my team members work best with clear deadlines, something I personally don't need. But now I know how to better communicate my expectations to them to ensure successful work.

What do you dislike about The Predictive Index?

The PI is robust, which can feel overwhelming if you are learning how to understand it on your own. Working with the PI staff is the best way to understand your results and how to apply it.

Recommendations to others considering The Predictive Index:

Talk to others using PI and find out how they are implementing the information. There are so many great ideas out there!

What problems is The Predictive Index solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are beginning to develop manager training using the PI as one tool. We look forward to seeing streamlined teams and more effective work environments because of the insights PI provides.
