What do you like best about The PI System?
It runs on regular office desktop thus not requiring the personnel to physically go to remote control rooms to download plant process data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about The PI System?
There occasions where plant telemetry reading is not available on the PI system and I need to fall back to the closed-souced DCS/PLC database to check especially when the required data is vital for analysis or for failure investigations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about The PI System?
PI is very easy to use and very scalable, especially with the new programs. OSIsoft is also very good for pushing for cybersecurity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about The PI System?
OSIsoft is in the middle of migrating almost all of their old programs to newer ones, so it is difficult to decide whether to use a PI program or wait for the replacement. Both the old and new programs are also very buggy. You will need to contact tech support a lot for this. I can't imagine what it is like to not have the Enterprise agreement. What do you like best about The PI System?
PI captures data from different types of equipments, machines irrespective of the original equipment manufacturer and makes it available to broad user base on site or offsite as required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about The PI System?
I liked being able to pull in trends for the process I was running and be able to see what equipment was running just by looking at my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It would have been nice to know some of the special features that were available with the PI processbook system. Much of the special features I did not know until a separate training class had been performed years after working with the tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about The PI System?
Excel adding is very good to extract data from the database and then analyze. Database is very strong and reliable. Easy to access from any of its apps and addings. It is fast with a good network. I take a lot of data from the database in a couple of minutes. Timing graphs are very good when showing data, it is easy to change scales and compares two or more tags. What do you dislike about The PI System?
PI Processbook is not very friendly to build views, graphs could also be improved, it is not easy to modify graph properties, and types. To represent a tag in front of other only is possible with a few data, it is not valid for showing one year data.
Web should also be improved. There is not adding for google at the moment, so data can not be extracted from it. Access from web does not have the same futures as local tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
