His team had the technical know-how to choose the most meaningful and cost-effective plugins to make the site work well, things I would have never known about as a novice user. Even after the backend setup was finished, Sven was willing to help when I got stuck editing the site and didn't know how to make things look the way I needed them to. While there was not a charge for the labor, I did need to pay for hosting and other services that would make it possible for me to easily maintain the site. I wish I had known that up front, but then again, free is never entirely free. Even so, The Free Website Guys offered good recommendations and discounts on the services that I'll need to be successful.

Sometimes it was difficult to convey my vision for the site solely through email, and we had a lot of back and forth trying to make things right. But, the company was always willing to work with me to make it right, which I appreciated. I had hoped that I would be able to complete the entire process in a month, but it ended up taking two.
