The things I find most usefull is being able to make my own snippet from scratch. It's extremely easy to use for those who struggle with computers. I didn't have any problems with intergration into my Microsoft system. I use this program on a daily basis in my line of work which saves me at least an hours worth of time; that extra hour is able to be use on another project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downfall I have found with this pogram is organization. I don't want the freedom to create to be taken away as that is the best feature. I just wish there was a way to know if you had a duplicate or something similar, along with being able to recognize categorize of the snippet by wording. Otherwise, I have nothing negitive to say about the program. Customer Support the one time I had to reach out, were quick in responding, they made sure all my issues had been addressed before closing the ticket. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When there are certain strings of text that are needed repeatedly for various tasks, the ability to type a memorized shortcut instead saves time in the moment. The ability to also manipulate the clipboard content using JavaScript can also allow for some powerful utility that would otherwise require one or more macros of some sort. A simple use case could be to sort and remove duplicate values from a list of strings merely by copying them and then typing a TE shortcut. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would prefer to selectively disable some shared snippets when they are shared via an organization. A snippet used to correct common spelling mistakes (capitalization), for example, may not be desired if the primary content that I am entering is code rather than, say, email communication. TextExpander is super easy to set up and maintain. I can save my snippets to the cloud so I can have it across multiple devices, and being able to organize the types of snippets into different folders makes it easy for me to find the snippet I need to make updates to. I use TextExpander every day to save formulas, email templates, even code snippets, but I also use it ad-hoc for personal needs which is really convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't dislike anything about TextExpander. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use hundreds of snippets a week. One of the best use cases for me is to use the snippets to timestamp interviews that I am conducting. This lets the team know when in the interview we talked about various topics and allows for quicker editing. Instead, of having to look at the clock and manually do this I can type "ts1" and it populates the call and the current time on my computer. In addition, I use snippets for email introductions, sign offs, templeted emails and more. Great tool and I love that it works across all browsers and tools that I use. My only dislike would be taking the time to fully use the tool. There are probably more snippets I could be using daily, I just haven't taken the time to get them setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use TextExpander on a daily basis, and I have saved over 1235 hours (20 words per minute) this year alone by using this product. It is so easy to creat snippets, share those snippets with my team, and standardize the communication to our internal and external partners. I am the TextExpander for my organization, and I am constantly sharing tips, tricks, and best practices with training sessions. The adoption of the app has been seamless due to simply showcasing the time I have saved and the ease of abbreviations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few features I believe would make TextExpander better, such as the ability to highlight text and importing formatted tables instead of using the default version, but overall I don't have any dislikes about the app. It's just a great product all-around! TextExpander goes well beyond text replacement.
TextExpander is a huge time-saver as you don't need to re-type things you want to write repeatedly. Not only that, if you forget a shortcut, you can search for a replacement right where you are typing.
Customising messages with names and other variable details on the fly makes TextExpander much more powerful than my operating system's built-in text replacement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The expansions almost always work, in a couple of rare instances, I need to enter a space before the text shortcut.
Works very well on my Mac, but you need a separate TextExpander keyboard on iOS (that's probably Apple's fault). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I rely heavily on Text Expander for managing my custom AI prompts, and it has become an indispensable part of my daily workflow. The standout feature is its ability to nest snippets within snippets, which allows me to create highly customized and complex prompts with minimal effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cursor positioning can be frustratingly slow when placed anywhere except at the bottom of the text, which significantly impacts usability in practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The easiness we have to create snippets and templates. Is really easy to implement and helps a lot on my daily routines as customer support, I'd easily say I use it every 5-10 minutes. All the features included, such as personalise the way your snippets are populated, via abbreviation or inserts gives the user the ability to integrate the product easily and have it adjusted to the way of work for each individual. I've noticed when I use terminal for mac, the app doesn't work well. Could be related to a miscompatibility, not sure if happens with other apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful thing about TextExpander is it complete ease of use. After I registered, I was able to use the application right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thus far, there is nothing that I do not like about TextExpander. I use it almost every day and integrates well with my other applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TextExpander allows us to respond fast and efficienty in a SaaS customer support enviroment where time is of the essence. We use it to save text prompts but we also use it to store code and anything that the team might need.
It support for dropdowns, fields and even formatting. Implementing it is a breeze, as there is not much to do but rather just start adding snippets.
The fact that you can visually see how much time has been saved is also a big plus and we use it on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Once in a while I need to disable/enable it to make it work which is not a real problem but can get annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
