## Text In Church Reviews
  ### 1. Two-Way Communication That Helps Our Church Feel Like Family

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derrick H. | Discipleship Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

What is most helpful is being able to communicate with visitors, members, and volunteers with a frequency that is appropriate. What is vital is that it is how they are already communicating with others and they are able to respond to us not just hear from us. It sets the groundwork for the church to truly become like family in a way that I believe with all my heart God is proud of!

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

The only dislike I have would be the consistency of the integrations. Unfortunately too many times when pulling a list from planning center I run into issues that should not affect text in church. If there is a contact currently in text in church with a phone number that matches a contact you are trying to integrate but with a different name I can see why there would be an issue. But if a parent and a child both have the same number in planning center on their profile and neither one of them have been added to text in church, I should not have any issue adding that parent to a VBS parent contact list because it knows that another person in planning center has that number. If I'm not trying to import two people in text in church with the same information I should not be running into that issue. That causes a lot of time to try to sort out planning center in such a way that you can make sure 20 people on a list of 300 don't get left out. Overall text in church saves a lot of time. But this particular issue causes a lot of frustration. I hope they are able to find a much smoother way to conduct integrations from planning center that do not involve tweaking planning center or being tempted to just let a few people fall through the cracks with communication.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of not having the size staff to realistically make everyone who comes seen and heard. It benefits us by saving a ton of time and solving the impossible issue of staff members personally and maintaining an amount of relationships personally that does not give them the healthy boundaries needed for longevity in ministry.

  ### 2. Seamless Planning Center Integration for Targeted, Two-Way Texting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike R. | Procurement Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Text In Church integrates nicely with our Planning Center Online church management system, so we can easily target specific groups of people, and send concise, informative messages on demand. And the best thing is, individuals can reply to the text.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

Maybe a learning curve for in-depth use of forms and workflows, but we haven't really explored that yet.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We often send meeting reminders, weather closures, etc. to a variety of people. In particular, our senior adults benefit from text messages rather than relying on email or even apps with push notifications...it's just easier for them!

  ### 3. Automation Workflows Make Follow-Ups Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheldon B. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Automation workflows make our job of follow up a lot easier. We can focus on the messages that matter rather than the day to day admin of maintaining the connection with individuals.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

Can be more difficult to use in a Canadian context, but this is not an issue with Text in Church, but rather the mobile market in Canada.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instant and ongoing connection with newcomers to the church.

  ### 4. Great for Staying in Touch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** church o. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

It’s a good way to stay in touch with both new attenders and our regular attenders.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

that there are some carriers that don't get a text if it is too long and we are unable to make them any more succinct

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are seeing more people receive and read these than thru emails

  ### 5. Texting Makes Messaging Fast and Straight to the Point

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lori E. | Child Care Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

I cannot think of anything at the moment.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 6. Text In Church Simplifies Short Communications To Our Congregation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

We find that Text In Church facilitates short communications to our subscribers and we can schedule them for times that suit our audience.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

The web site is excellent, and the app sometimes doesn't seem to works as well, but has improved.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TIC allows our whole team to see the pending messages and work together on communications from our home offices or on the go.

  ### 7. Makes Communicating with Church Attendees Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

It makes it easy to communicate with church attendees.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

It is not always easy to navigate the site.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Always sending emails with articles and/or videos that help me do my job better.

  ### 8. This company has allowed me to make the most of my limited time to better the ministry.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin W. | Communications Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

We have leaned into almost everything Text in Church has to offer, and without a doubt, I can say it connected our church in ways that could not have happened without Text in Church.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

Honestly, the only limitation I've run into is myself!

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we have started using Text in Church, many of our first-time guests have told us that "You are the only church that's communicated with us when we've reached out." We have slowly implemented it across all our outreach events and have seen outreach go farther with implementing our own custom Automated Workflows and keywords. Suppose you aren't sure your church will need Text in Church. In that case, I can assure you that Text in Church will make ministry more effortless and more impactful to your congregation and allow you to do the job of three people while knowing things are happening while you are spending time with your family or sleeping :)

  ### 9. Close, but not quite there

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt W. | Youth Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

The UI was clean and easy to navigate. Very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

My biggest problem with it was that there was no app. My understanding is that they have since added this feather.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Two way communication is key to interacting with our church members

  ### 10. Text in Church is the only software you need to communicate with your church!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

The software is easy to use, set up and provides amazing communication and connecting features with your people.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

The only option that is currently lacking is open reports for mass emailing. You have to check each individual to see if they opened your email. If a report was available per batch email to confirm your open rates, you would not need any other software.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

Text in Church is easy to set up and use. With built in templates, the easy of set up will only take a few minutes and you'll be communicating with anyone and everyone. Groups allow for communication to be specific to the needs of people, and avoid "spamming". Added features are coming out all the time that constantly improve an already amazing software. And the customer service is so amazing, if you have any questions, no matter how big or small, they are there to help you get things resolved and do it with a smile and an amazing attitude.
Text in Church has allowed our guests know they are important to us, and we care about them, without having to spend hours and hours each checking who needs to be sent what email or text. Once you set up a template, it goes through the series of correspondence and you're done!

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connection with first time guests is 500x better. Connection creates return and people engage and take those next steps you're hoping for. Our congregation has a direct line to ask questions and get involved through text messages and emails.

  ### 11. Use Text In Church To Connect

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer F. | Children's Pastor, Religious Institutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

It allows you to connect via text without having to give out your personal cell number.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

People can text you back directly - but the texts run thru an app so you have to be diligent to check it.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending group texts from a number other than my personal number.

**Official Response from Jack Zelinko:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, Jennifer! We are glad Text In Church has been helpful, especially with keeping your personal number private!

  ### 12. Game Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalee G. | Youth Director/Connections Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

The system is so simple to use and customize and it easily integrated into out website and other systems.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

I don't always get push notifications, but it doesn't affect the system, just my response time.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

Get it! It feels so personal and has allowed us to be more intentional & consistent with our guest follow up.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am very good at coming up with ideas and implementing them, but not so great at the maintenance long term. The automation allows us to consistently provide meaningful and personal follow-up.

**Official Response from Jack Zelinko:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this awesome review, Natalee! We are so happy you are building relationships and staying consistent using Text In Church! :)

  ### 13. Text in Church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elijah R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

The workflow is one of my favorite features.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

There is nothing that I dislike about text in church.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

Text in church will save you church time with workflows. Also, it's a great tool for first time visitors.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The workflow allows our church to remain in contact with our visitors, ministry groups, leadership, etc.

  ### 14. Absolutely Love Text In Church!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Molly P. | Google Ad Grant Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Very easy to use, integrates well with other database systems, makes it easy to start and continue conversations with customers. We really appreciate that you get a real phone number - it makes us appear more personal, and not just like a bot or autoresponse. Plus, the Text in Church team is fantastic. Anytime we have problems, they jump right on to help. They've become our friends!

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

We haven't come across any downsides. The team is quick to accept new ideas and is always implementing new concepts and features. Their support is amazing any time we get stuck. The only downside we've had for our church was that Text In Church does not yet integrate with Breeze CHMS, but for now we can download and upload CSV files, which is easy to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

Use Text in Church! Consider implementing text messaging into your follow up sequences (in addition to email) to increase response rates. Text In Church makes this easy, and allows you to have two-way conversations with customers. Be personal and friendly in your responses.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to communicate information with customers that they might miss in emails. People are way more likely to open and answer a text, especially if a real person is responding to them on the other end. When we communicate information to customers and other event registrants, they're able to talk to us personally and ask any questions. This takes our customer service system to the next level.

  ### 15. Text In Church is by far the Best!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

I loved how easy it was to set up and get started. With the free trial, it was a no-brainer. Text In Church has genuinely been a ministry partner to our church. Nothing but praise here.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

The only issues that have arisen have been minor ones. Text In Church's Customer Support has taken care of the problems very quickly. Customer support is easy to contact and solves problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

I would start right away! Text in Church offers a free trial for between 30-60 days. You will not regret your decision.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a way to automate our guest follow-up for our church. I was spending hours texting and emailing people that visit our church. Text In Church has added at least a day to my ministry per week.

  ### 16. Text In Church is the best church resource that exists!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josiah P. | Y, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

The community aspect is incredible. Staff is around to share the experience and make changes based on what users would like. The platform itself is functional, relevant, and kept up!

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

I can't make myself think of anything at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

You HAVE to use Text In Church if you want to communicate effectively and grow, helping people matter along the way. You HAVE to!

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People are being kept up with, valued, and loved.

  ### 17. TIC is AWESOME!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James T. | Lead Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Using TIC is such a simple process. Very easy learning curve. Saves us time and energy when communicating with our church. Instead of making hundreds of phone calls to get information out we can easily connect with everyone with the click of the mouse.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

The app is a little sketchy at times. It will say I have a ton of unread notifications when they were all read. Other than that it is a great product!

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

If you are looking for a way to connect with your church, whether big or small, TIC is the way to go!

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using TIC to communicate with our church of 180+. This allows us to send out notifications with ease. We also use TIC for prayer requests, visitor cards, and any special groups that we need to create. We used it for VBS one year to pre-register kids.

  ### 18. Easy to use and well worth it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom P. | Youth Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Text in Church is a fantastic text program that is easy to use, affordable and integrates perfectly with our Church Management Software.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

I do wish they had more alternative pricing tiers in regards to number of text we can send.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to integrate Text in Church with our Church Management System and it makes for easier communication with our whole Church (or even a group within our Church).

  ### 19. HUGE TIME SAVER!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer M. | Family Pastor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ability to schedule text messages or emails! It makes keeping up with my team easy and communication with the entire church a breeze! honestly, I'm forgetful most days and will remember to send someone a message at 10pm and that's not appropriate so I love that I can type it out and schedule it to send at a more appropriate time! I also LOVE the groups! you don't have to go in and select each person each time hoping you don't forget anyone! you can just click the group you want, one click! easy peasy!

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

My only complaint is I get signed out randomly, I'm sure this is a security feature but I usually don't realize I'm logged out and potentially missing messages until I go to use it again.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping in contact with our teams and congregants! This has been a huge time saver with the ability to just click a group to send a message to rather than send individually and pray you don't forget anyone!

  ### 20. The most effective and affordable member of our team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devin G. | Lead Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

We love the automated workflows that you can create. TIC even provides great templates to help you get started.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

As of today there is not a function that allows you to schedule text/emails on a specific time/date.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

If making communication more personal it a goal of yours, you need TIC.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With TIC integrated into our website it helps move online traffic from "clicking" to "connecting" with our organization.

  ### 21. Worth the money and time!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ory H. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

This resource has been a game changer for us! The ability to quickly communicate with large numbers of people and give them the opportunity to respond back individually is vital for us.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

No complaints at all. Text in Church has great customer service and is always releasing updates and new features.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We often deal with people who don't have time for social media and don't like utilizing email, so this has been the perfect fix.

  ### 22. Text In Church... GAME CHANGER

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob H. | Lead Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

The ability TIC has for us to stay connected to our new visitors.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

Not able to scheule specific dates. they are working on

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to stay in touch on a weekly basis with new guests better.

  ### 23. Text in Church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tricia K. | volunteer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Text in Church is a great communication tool. It saves me time and helps insure that guests don't fall through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

It took me awhile to be comfortable using multiple aspects of the software, but I think it was due to user error.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication is streamlined. Customer support is amazing!

  ### 24. Easy to connect to members with TEXT IN CHURCH

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackie H. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Text in Church has made it easy to keep in touch with church members via text messaging system. We are able to send out on the spot messages or schedule messages. I also like that I am able to create groups. This feature is used for different departments and so when that particular groups needs to be notified, it is very simple. It also has the capability to attach photos to the text, which makes it look more professional.

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

What I don't like about TEXT IN CHURCH is that when spanish accents are used it causes a glitch and warns you that the message might be broken up or not delivered. So we send our spanish messages without accents. Which then looks unprofessional. But we rather them receive the message than none at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

Text in Church is a simple interface that allows even the simplest person to use. You can also assign individual logins. In addition to sending text messages on the spot, you can schedule them. You can send to pre-determined groups. Another feature is you can create auto sign ups in which it add them to specific group by using a keyword. And it also always individual responses too.

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One problem we are solving with TEXT IN CHURCH is that we send reminders of our virtual events 15 minutes before start time with the link. This way we help the individual not to forget the event and also by sending the link, it enables them to connect immediately since the link is readily available.

  ### 25. Better integrations would be nice

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** K G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Text In Church?**

Text in church allowed an entire team of connection volunteers to engage with our congregation through a single phone number. We could put that number in caller ID as the organization rather than individuals. Text in church is flexible enough to allow for sending and receiving both keyword automated messages and personal free form responses.
Our congregation often felt uncomfortable before we had text in church, with braising their hands during services to receive our gift and information registration follow up card, and even so we often would not receive their information card back from them or it would be mostly incomplete. Text in church gave us an automated reply to send to those who text a keyword to the number. This would ask them to fill out a simple form through the in app browser with which we could gather more information. We often receive and are able to answer questions on this number as well!

**What do you dislike about Text In Church?**

Our church database keeps track of all other correspondence with our congregation, but text in church does not integrate very well. The integration is only a list and is one directional. We wish it would integrate the other direction so that we can see the correspondence when we search for an individual in our database. The dashboard tracker and address book therefore take an extra level of administration.
Each layer of administration will require more training for your team. However, with a consistent trainer, your team can still use text in church. It is not too difficult to train. You just need to create your process as the program has different ways to handle information and each user may interpret the avenues as more or less intuitive.
I dislike the fact that every admin in the account can see every other admin's messages. While this may be great for accountability, it can be confusing when another admin marks a message as read and it was meant for myself. Now I no longer see the "new message" icon because another admin read that message.

**Recommendations to others considering Text In Church:**

We recommend text in church for organizations with fewer than a thousand members to keep track of. It seems best for the midsize church congregation.
Each user should have their own login, but you will want to standardize your utilization of the recording features.
I think it will have a lot to be done with the new year and the future is the only one that will give me the link that you have a lot to learn ther rest and the rest pf will have a lot of time for a teeny little one arrive on a small assortment in a few weeks or two on a regular meeting at a wedding and a couple weeks after that you are a little more happy birthday than I am not sure if I have to do something with the same thing

**What problems is Text In Church solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Text in church has helped us provide a connection point that is less intimidating than a phone call for a newcomer, but more personal than an email.
We are now receiving much more complete information from our visitors, and with an automated follow up system, text in church helps us keep them engaged throughout their first six months.
We are also able to utilize a much larger volunteer team to help contact the newcomers and follow up with them. Each volunteer gets their own login. We can even seamlessly transition the conversation from one volunteer to another or to a staff member when needed.
Text in church also allows for multiple phone numbers to be listed under the same account, which can be super helpful if you want to send messages from several "leaders" within your organization. Otherwise, people will save the first number in their contacts list under the name of the first person who texted them. Later if you sign the text from a different ministry, they may become confused. This is an excellent way to keep everyone organized.
