I used Texas Instruments as both a student and as an academic tutor. Their products are "no frills" but solidly built and programmed. I worked on my research project in India for 3 years on MSP430 16kb Flash processor. That product really needed this low energy microprocessor since the product's main selling point was to maintain the longer battery life over many years. Apart from that, I work on my personal IoT project in which I use CC2650 wireless chip. It is so helpful and they are so reliable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Texas instruments give you free samples, which is very good thing for small businesses and students. their chips are very stable and very similar to the design specs they provide. I think their ADCs are the most stable ones, I have tried so far. The overall cost of the product is also not that costly. If you order in bulk they will give you a special price.
