The most helpful thing about Tempo Timesheets is the ability to toggle between different views. Each user can choose their own adventure as to which view they use to log their time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initial set up is a little time consuming...make sure that you go through the training materials thoroughly before you get started! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In the time entering window, I like that the information is pulled in directly from Jira, and the process is quick and straightforward. I also like the multiple view options - Timesheets, List, and Calendar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The resource planning gets messy very quickly. I'm limited with sorting it and don't have the "Monthly" recurring option in the main view. Just in the timeline view which gets even messier. There should be a weekly view as well. not just weeks and weeks at a time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tempo allows me to report on developer hours for an epic project, broken down by tasks. Tempo makes it easier to produce reports for billable hours at the end of a project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great to see an additional time filter for "anytime" since projects can go on for long periods or go on hold and then get picked back up months or years later. I don't want to figure out when the time frame of an epic project began. I want to choose an epic project and get the total logged hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ability of users to log time and submit proper timesheets. The ability to pull billable hours is critical as well for us to be able to deliver summaries to our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My users have a hard time navigating to the right views, and I sometimes struggle to find where to go on the cloud product to review timesheets or produce reports for customers still after years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to run reports to see exactly how much time we spent on a specific task. Being able to gain better insight on these things boost productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tempo needs better communication on updates. They will rollout updates without really notifying you and things will break because of that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The time entry is flexible but comprehensive so that you can log everything you need but the process itself is still simple.
We also like the API so we can download details for reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In some cases the search functionality for finding a specific time slip does not seem to search correctly.
Also, we have not found a way to remove old JIRA items from the search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integration into Jira is a huge time saver for us. Getting the team to enter time as they work tasks helps to make time entry more accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a little complex to set up the reports. But once you do, they are critical to tracking our monthly progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As far as time tracking in Jira is concerned, Tempo is fantastic. It tracks time in issues efficiently and provides detailed analysis. Additionally, it works well with Jira's estimation; automatically subtracting time from estimates upon submitting work logs. It can also link work logs to commits in Bitbucket. I found the CSV export to be valuable in preserving records or providing clients proof for my invoices. It's gotten me out of two tricky situations. There is a mobile app as well (read my dislikes for more feedback on it). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reason I stopped using it is that I was basically forced off of self-hosted Jira by Atlassian's decision to stop supporting those instances. As a result, I tried to migrate my self-hosted Tempo records to the cloud but this was so difficult it appeared impossible while working full time on projects for income. In the end, I switched to TMetric and found it was difficult to import Tempo time tracking into TMetric. I was able to enter total amounts but I'd have to add time tracking logs day by day manually. The mobile app was not so useful in the end because I couldn't stop a time log from it if I forgot to on the machine on which I started tracking. Being unable to control the time from tracking from a different device was an issue many times, whether through the app or simply from one computer to another. Lastly, I was disappointed that there was never a way to create an invoice from Tempo in PayPal or Quickbooks. I always had to go through all the records one by one and make line items in PayPal and Quickbooks for my invoices, costing me additional time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It allows us to quickly and easily track what the team has worked on. Since we bill based off our time spent on different tickets, this is very important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
None that come to mind. We are happy with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
reporting is powerful, as many of the parameters you need are available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
i do suggest preparing more reporting templates as not all users maybe familiar with the jira hierarchy (personally i think jira has a bit of a learning curve) - this is just more for catering to not having the same users whom setup jira as the person running tempo reports.
eg i'm not sure if estimates against actual are available but it maybe a useful template.
not having o365 via mobile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
