Track the whole team's hours that are put into the project, very precise as it's integrated with Jira tickets for the project Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe add some details about how much time is left in blocked tickets for a certain project Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's fast and intuitive. Logging time at the end of the day is quite easy due to its simple design. I spend less time logging time and more time working on issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not being able to adjust some of the default behavior, such as the minimum time unit on the logged time suggestions. More control over the application-level settings would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We've been using Tempo for years on Jira. Tempo has been very helpful in reviewing resources spent within our team. We are now setting up with a new software called Forecast, and it's fully integratable.
Looking forward to seeing how Tempo could become with Forecast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would like to see better UI (user interface design) within the Tempo app. Reports could look more visually appealing for team leads to comprehend and understand better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The calendar integration also makes things incredibly easy. As long as people are adding links to the Jira stories in their meeting description, the people who were in the meeting can go and click a checkbox, and they have logged time for the meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has a lot of really great reporting options, I just wish there were some additional ways to slice and dice the data, though I certainly admit that I am probably being a little pedantic in what I am looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The calendar view of Tempo Timesheets is outstanding; you can look at it in comparison with your daily calendar, Office 365, or Google. It will list all your scheduled meetings allowing you to quickly add time and the correct ticket association to those meetings. Tempo will also track the amount of time you spend on a given ticket and provide suggestions on where your time went making it a snap to review your entries and track your work.
Tempo Timesheets is an essential tool if using Jira and tracking time granularly for billing accuracy to clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are few things that I believe tempo doesn't do well. One thing I do find frustrating is the ability to configure and store filters on the time entry box. and the inability to say "Not included in" vs. "Included in" only. It would make it much more straightforward, for instance, to say "Status Not In done or canceled" instead of having to do "Status IN 50 different statuses." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The single best feature of Tempo is its deep integration into Jira. Having all our data for time tracking and billing our clients in the same system where we do project management is a must. We aren't power users, necessarily, but we have tried various of the advanced features from time to time. At the end of the day, time tracking against tickets and simple reporting are its primary purpose, and it does it well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've experienced data loss issues in the past, and more than once we've been frustrated trying to find the right combination of permissions and team assignments to ensure people who need access to the data have it. It's also disappointing that historical timesheet entries disappear for users you remove from your Jira instance. We've ended up having to export our data for historical record keeping purposes to avoid any sort of accidental data loss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Tempo is how seamlessly it integrated with my Jira project and allows us to track our time against our story cards. We also use it with our contractors which allows them to report back to their agency to run their billing for us. All around a great tool for allowing us to track time thoroughly against our programming stories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We did struggle with the initial setup to get the administrative assistant access to pull the timesheets for our contractors but we were able to figure that out with help from knowledge articles from the Tempo wiki. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Jira to manage our work, so Tempo was a natural choice for tracking our time. I use and appreciate the free version of Jira; whereas, tempo costs $100/year... we don't use Tempo for much more than time tracking, so I am tempted to look for free alternatives, but the price is relatively low, so it is not a top concern.
I use Tempo to generate monthly reports for our customers, and these reports were simple to configure given that Tempo is so closely integrated with Jira.
I use ManicTime to track my time, and I use the Tempo integration to automatically add my entries, so I don't actually use the Tempo GUI for much more than reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As I mentioned, while I like Tempo and think it is a good value, I am aware of free alternatives.
I have to do some finagling to get reports to focus on what I think is important and it doesn't seem like I can pull in Jira's custom fields to the reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to enter our time in through JIRA, report through JIRA, as well as pulling entries directly from the API into our custom systems for billing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the speed of running reports could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's great because enable my team and I to log all what we do on a daily basis. Each log is tied to a Jira ticket which makes easy to bill our customer at the end of the month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In one of the latest upgrades, the delete button can be triggered accidentally without any confirmation. I hate that. We have lost several logs due to this functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
