"Essential for Audit Management with Offline Flexibility"
5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I use TeamMate+ to manage internal audit engagements and it gives me a clear and organized view of audit projects, allowing me to track progress from planning to reporting. I like that I can work offline during audits at locations with unreliable internet, and once back online, the application syncs my work seamlessly. The plug-ins are great because they make it easy to attach supporting evidence and review working papers without toggling between applications. The initial setup was quite easy, thanks to the helpful support team in Kenya. I would highly recommend TeamMate+ to any organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

I have no downsides to report about Teammate. At the moment it is supporting the audit department well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionized Our Audit Monitoring"
5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I value TeamMate+ for its easy monitoring of issues and recommendations and how it helps me track their resolution effortlessly. I like the centralized tracking of issues in a single platform, which provides better visibility of all issues. It also enhances collaboration between the audit team and stakeholders. The initial setup was very easy, with the migration of issues and recommendations taking a short period of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

I think TeamMate+ could improve by adding bulk updates for managing records. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super Helpful Workflow Features, Great Dashboards, and Flexible Customization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

Teammate’s workflow features are extremely helpful, and the dashboards are great. We’ve been able to customize the software to fit our specific audit methodology for risk assessments, which has made it easier to align the tool with how we work. I do wish there were more integrations with AI/Intelligence features. Overall, the app performance has been excellent—we can have up to ~120 users at a time, and there’s never an issue handling the workload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

There are certain tactical steps that are annoying for a reviewer. For example, when I review a pdf document, it always checks out the document by default. I have to then go and clear the check out before I can sign off on that document. I wish there were more AI integrations. There is no artificial intelligence or connections in with our AI tool - CoPilot. We are working on figuring out how to use the TM database as a data source for our Copilot tool. "TeamMate Streamlines Audits with an Intuitive, Well-Organized Interface"
5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

Easy to use. Platform easy to add workpapers, track audits, with progress checker in place. Can also easily search auditable entities for team collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

One downside of TeamMate is that certain workflows can feel rigid and require several clicks to complete routine tasks, which can reduce efficiency. Some reporting and customization options could be more flexible, and integrations with other systems can be limited at times compared to newer cloud-based platforms. Although the interface is generally well organized, a few features are not easy to find without prior experience, which can add to the learning curve for new users. Improvements to automation, AI-powered functionality, and overall system performance would help strengthen the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Audit Tool with Formatting Challenges"
4/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I use TeamMate+ for audit work documentation and follow-up on audit recommendations. I appreciate that it is very comprehensive and encompasses all aspects of an audit, from planning through to reporting and follow-ups. I also enjoy TeamMate analytics, which helps a lot in data analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

The reporting format, It has proved a great challenge to format our audit reports to suit our specific reporting style. When generating the audit report, the exported format is not the specific reporting format that we use in our organization. Attempts to customize the design of the report in TeamMate+ has proved futile. We had to seek the services of the TeamMate support team. It was initially very costly and a lot of training was required for us to efficiently utilize the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Audit Processes, Enhanced Team Collaboration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I really appreciate how TeamMate+ helps us keep all audit documents in one place, making them easy to organize and retrieve. It allows us to monitor engagement progress, assign tasks, and track findings efficiently. What I like most is the collaboration within the audit team; everyone can work on the same platform simultaneously without multiple email exchanges or file versions, which ensures consistency and reduces the need for manual follow-ups. Also, TeamMate+ is very simple and easy to navigate, which is a big plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

For me it’s the time when I, for example, am reviewing a document opened outside TeamMate+, then it takes me some time. With this, TeamMate+ takes it as if I am not working on the documents and closes it. By this time, my reviews are not saved and are lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Audit Platform, but Too Many Clicks and Limited Reporting Flexibility"
2.5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

TeamMate has been a valuable solution for improving the efficiency and consistency of our audit and compliance processes. The user interface is intuitive and well organized, making it easy for both new and experienced team members to navigate workflows, manage engagements, and track progress.

One of the biggest benefits has been its centralized documentation and workflow management. Having all audit planning, testing, evidence, and reporting in one place has improved collaboration across the team and reduced time spent searching for information. The integration capabilities also help streamline data sharing with other systems, minimizing manual work and improving data accuracy.

From a performance standpoint, TeamMate has been reliable and responsive, even when working with larger audit files. The platform's reporting capabilities provide useful insights that support better decision-making and help management monitor audit progress in real time.

While the investment is significant, the time savings, improved standardization, and stronger audit quality have delivered a solid return on investment. The onboarding process was well supported, and the customer support team has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever questions or issues have arisen.

The AI and intelligent features continue to evolve and show promise in helping automate repetitive tasks, identify potential risks, and improve overall productivity. As these capabilities mature, they have the potential to provide even greater value.

Overall, TeamMate is a comprehensive audit management platform that has helped our organization improve efficiency, collaboration, and the quality of our audit processes. I would recommend it to organizations looking for a scalable and reliable audit management solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

While TeamMate has been a strong audit management platform overall, there are a few areas where it could be improved. Some workflows require more clicks than necessary, which can slow down users who work in the system daily. Simplifying navigation and providing more customizable dashboards would help users access frequently used features more efficiently.

The reporting functionality is powerful but could offer greater flexibility with ad hoc reporting and easier customization of report templates. This would reduce the need for manual adjustments and better support organizations with unique reporting requirements.

Although the integration capabilities are valuable, expanding the number of out-of-the-box integrations and making configuration more straightforward would reduce implementation effort and improve the overall user experience.

Performance is generally reliable, but larger engagements can occasionally experience slower load times, particularly when working with extensive documentation or generating complex reports. Continued optimization in these areas would improve productivity.

The AI capabilities show promise, but additional intelligent features—such as more advanced risk identification, automated workpaper recommendations, and enhanced analytics—would provide even greater value for audit teams.

Overall, TeamMate is a mature and capable platform, and continued investment in usability, performance, reporting flexibility, integrations, and AI-driven automation would make an already strong product even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralizing Audit Management with TeamMate Solutions"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

What I appreciate most about TeamMate is that it serves as a centralized data repository for all information related to an audit engagement. It enables me to monitor the progress of work at every stage of the audit, provide real-time feedback to team members, and maintain a comprehensive audit trail of all activities performed throughout the engagement.

Having all audit documentation, review notes, and supporting evidence stored in one secure location makes the review process more efficient, transparent, and seamless. It enhances collaboration, strengthens accountability, and ensures consistency throughout the audit lifecycle while making it easier to track the status and quality of work from planning to completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

One limitation of the current on-premises version of TeamMate is the absence of integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities. I believe the platform would be significantly enhanced if it included an AI assistant that could be trained on our organization's audit methodology, policies, procedures, frameworks, and risk management practices. This would enable the AI to better understand how our organization operates and provide context-specific recommendations that improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of the audit process.

An AI-enabled TeamMate could assist with a wide range of audit activities, including generating standardized audit templates and working papers to promote consistency across engagements, analyzing policies, procedures, and governance frameworks against applicable standards and best practices, and comparing these documents with audit findings to identify gaps or inconsistencies. It could also help draft well-supported audit observations and recommendations, suggest appropriate root causes and risk ratings, and identify potential control improvements.

Additionally, AI could continuously analyze information gathered across multiple audit engagements to identify recurring issues, emerging risks, and trends, helping to strengthen and refine the organization's enterprise risk register. By learning from previous audits and organizational practices, the AI could provide proactive insights, improve knowledge sharing, reduce manual effort, and support more strategic, risk-focused decision-making across the Internal Audit function. "Centralized Audit Management That Streamlines Planning, Testing, and Reporting"
5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I like how centralized the entire audit process is. It makes planning, documentation, testing, review, and reporting more organized and efficient. It Allows more time to focus on analyzing risks and delivering value through the audit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

While TeamMate is a solid audit management platform, I find the UI somewhat dated, integrations could be stronger, and performance can slow with large engagements. The platform also has a steep learning curve, and support/onboarding could be improved. Most importantly, I'd like to see more advanced AI capabilities, such as automated risk identification, intelligent workpaper recommendations, and stronger analytics, to better justify the overall cost of the platform. "Clear UI and Workflows with Solid Tracking Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TeamMate?

The UI and workflows really improve operational clarity. The tracking and usage-monitoring integrations are solid as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

Pricing doesn’t feel justified by the ROI it can deliver. The feedback from auditees was that the tool lacks energy and comes across as clumsy to use. The notification setup is too cumbersome, and we ran into issues with it. Object rearrangement and onboarding with templates also had a lot of problems, but it isn’t clear where the issue actually is. We end up relying on trial and error to figure out where the bug might be hiding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
