What do you like best about TeamMate?

TeamMate is easy to use for managing audits, tracking workpapers, and keeping documentation organized in one place. It helps standardize the audit process, improves visibility into progress, and makes collaboration across the team more efficient. The reporting and workflow features are especially helpful for keeping engagements on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

Certain workflows can take too many clicks. Reporting customization could also be more flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Hierarchical Layout Makes Audits Easy to Navigate"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

What impresses me most about TeamMate is its intuitive, hierarchical layout. The platform organizes audit components into clear, logical modules, making it easy to navigate and move between sections without friction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

One area where TeamMate could improve is its notification system, which currently feels a bit too inconspicuous. The alerts tend to blend into the background, so it’s easy to miss urgent updates or overlook pending approvals that need attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient for Audits, Needs Better Data Tracking"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I appreciate how TeamMate+ serves as a repository for all our work papers, providing us with one consolidated platform for workflow, risk assessment, and allowing stakeholders, including our regulators, to review work papers as necessary. While setting up TeamMate+ was not overly difficult, having strong in-house technology support is important in ensuring the implementation of TeamMate+ goes smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

There are certain limitations with its ability to report on data within the tool and challenges in scheduling resources and managing overall capacity planning. There's a limited number of data points and limited UI configurability, which means we can't track everything we want to track in the tool, and we can't configure where we track data exactly where we want it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Effective for Audit Management, With Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I find TeamMate+ to be a highly effective and structured audit management tool. It significantly enhances the efficiency, consistency, and quality of our order processes. The planning and execution phases are particularly well-supported by its features. I appreciate the well-organized framework it provides, which helps auditors define scope, objectives, and conduct risk assessments systematically. The risk-based approach embedded in the system aligns our audit efforts with high-risk areas, improving audit effectiveness. The working papers functionality stands out by allowing auditors to document procedures, attach evidence, and maintain proper audit trails in a very structured way. Also, I found the initial setup to be very easy and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

A more user-friendly design would reduce the learning curve. Also, system performance can occasionally be slow when dealing with large databases or extensive documentation. Another area for improvement would be integration capabilities. While TeamMate+ is strong as a standalone system, better integration with other enterprise systems such as ERP or data analytics tools would further enhance its value. "Structured, Consistent Audits with Strong Workflow Integration"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

Ya know, the thing I like most about TeamMate is the structure and consistency it brings to the audit process. I like how it keeps everything organized and creates a clear link between risk, testing, and conclusions, which makes the work more efficient and easier to stand behind.

I've enjoyed the integration experience. TeamMate works well within the audit workflow, and while we’re still exploring deeper integrations, it aligns well with the tools, systems, and other data sources we rely on. There’s definitely opportunity to expand integration capabilities, but overall it supports a more connected and efficient audit process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

One of the challenges I have with TeamMate is that it can feel a bit rigid and not always as intuitive as you’d like, especially when you’re trying to move quickly. There’s a bit of a learning curve, and some workflows take more steps than expected. That said, once you get comfortable with it, the structure it provides is valuable—it just takes some time to get there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Everything in One Place—Simple and Convenient"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

being able to have everything in one place Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

it can be difficult to navigate and figure out certain functions without guidance. For example, generating or customizing audit reports within the tool is not very intuitive.

There is also limitation when working with supporting documentation. While we can upload Word or PDF, Excel documents, we cannot directly edit them within Teammate +, which makes the review and revision process less efficient.

Also, Tm analytics could be more user friendly. I t currently requires a higher level of effort to use effectively, which can limit its accessibility for broader team use. There are also recurring issues with TM Analytics access, where licenses are periodically deactivated and need to be reactivated, which disrupts the workflow. "Comprehensive Audit Tool with a Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I like TeamMate+ because it has the ability to link many different areas that stem from the audit of an item on the audit plan to planning, field work, and wrap-up, including issue follow-up and tracking all the way through remediation and closure. TeamMate+ does everything an experienced auditor or audit team needs, and I appreciate its ability to condense all the necessary data points to administer an audit with other stakeholders in our company. I think its ability to facilitate workflow is key to TeamMate+'s success and our use of it. It allows audit teams flexibility in managing the workflow when uploading and reviewing documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

It takes a long time to learn. We frequently have to reach out to a subject matter expert to ask it to do things and facilitate data and status report manipulation that the average auditor either doesn't understand or is beyond the scope of their duties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Improving audit visibility and standardization with TeamMate"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

What I like most about TeamMate is its ability to centralize the entire audit workflow in one place. It helps manage audit planning, fieldwork, review, and reporting in a structured and consistent manner.

The system improves visibility over audit progress, making it easier for managers to track status, review working papers, and ensure deadlines are met. I also find the documentation and audit trail features very useful, especially for maintaining compliance and supporting review processes.

Overall, it enhances efficiency and standardization across the audit function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

One limitation of TeamMate is that the user interface can feel slightly outdated and not very intuitive for new users. It may take some time for users to get familiar with the navigation and workflow.

In addition, the system can sometimes be slow when handling large datasets or complex engagements. Customization options are somewhat limited, especially when trying to tailor reports or dashboards to specific business needs.

Improving user experience and performance would make the tool more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible and Improved, But Permissions Can Still Be Tricky"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

The structure and the ability to modify viewpoints within engagements for purpose, such as control or risk overviews. The system functions well and with the update allowing you to drag documents between controls or risks is a huge improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

There are times where TM+ gets stuck or has an anomaly during normal use. Most often, we run into issues around permissions and access within engagements. I feel this has improved over the past year, but for a while we had auditors-in-charge who had full access over the engagement so that we could appropriately correct workpapers with minor updates and not have to require the initial preparer to mark prepared for an update that had no material impact to the workpaper or it's outcome. "Efficient Audit Management with Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about TeamMate?

I love the centralized audit repository in TeamMate+ because it provides a single source of truth for audit work. The strong version control is fantastic as it reduces version confusion and ensures that reviewers always access the latest version while preserving a clear audit trail. This helps improve efficiency, accountability, and audit defensibility. The clear review and sign-off workflow is another great feature, as is the structured linkage between risks, controls, testing, and issues, which all contribute to consistent reporting across audits. The initial setup of TeamMate+ was great, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamMate?

Some workflows are rigid and time-consuming, Word/Excel integration is not seamless, navigation can be unintuitive, and completing simple tasks often requires too many clicks. The Word and Excel integration could be more seamless, with easier check-in and check-out and in-document review notes. The user interface could be more intuitive, with fewer clicks for common tasks and clearer navigation between planning, WPs, and issues. Performance improvements and better usability would make day-to-day audit work more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
