We now have a level of standardization for project requests, scoring, workflow through acceptance or rejection of requests. We also can use a hybrid approach with either waterfall or agile methodology, which is extremely important to us. What do you like best about TeamDynamix IT Service Management?

Team Dynamix provides a lot of flexibility with things like label and form design for your tickets. The workflow creator is also very easy to use and easy to understand when presenting workflows in meetings. Overall, there is a lot of customization in this product that really helps you to shape it to what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamDynamix IT Service Management?

The modules that display what tickets/tasks are assigned to you or your group doesn't have an auto-refresh feature and must be refreshed manually. This feels like an industry standard feature that isn't included. Also, tasks do not automatically notify the assignee that they have been assigned and require you to go in for each task created and manually notify the user, wasting a lot of time. Support is very helpful and responsive but many times when a feature doesn't exist or is counterintuitive in function they will just put in a suggestion to product development and there is no further follow up or list of top suggestions. Make sure you have a very structured plan for how you want to deploy TDX and ask lots of questions in training. Our training went very poorly and we found ourselves stuck at a few points because we hadn't asked enough questions on certain features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TeamDynamix IT Service Management?

Every project is an instance where you can define plans, resources, stakeholders, budget, risk and progress reports.

The application is web-based and compatible with MS project, where you can import the project schedule as an XML file.

Resource pools can be defined based on LDAP groups. Notifications are sent to the supervisors and the project team can put in their project hours through the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamDynamix IT Service Management?

1-Its scheduling console lacks important features and flexibility compared to MS project.

2- It requires continuous customization from a specialized admin working for the PMO.

The platform is perfect for IT project management office in an enterprise.

I enjoy how we/ our team can build our system with TDX to make it workable and suitable for our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes it has too much flexibility which creates a longer build time. I kind of annoyed how each ticket/asset opens in a popup window which means my computer usually runs around 20 Google Chrome windows open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have loved TDX though we have tried to implement it into our culture extremely quickly. It does everything we want and more. TDX does have a lot of ability to be integrated with APIs and we are trying to see if there is a way to include the asset inventory and move them into jamf via API. We use the TDX Platform to submit tickets for clients that are having issues with classroom PC's or AV equipment. The benefits would be that the user can view and comment on the ticket if their name is tagged in a ticket. This allows easier communications with the user of an issue.
