The integration with NX, the web based awc client, support for the latest BOM technologies, teamcenter manufacturing, integration with process simulate. I also like that it is bringing in a lot of innovation in these areas with every new release Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is still complicated to install and get started. It need not be as easy as plug and play kind of software, but the complexity can still be improved. Active workspace is seeing so much changes that it feels as if it has not seen full maturity yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a wealth of information available for using Teamcenter. It is easy to find help for any issues that arise. Siemens is also fantastic about offering support as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think my least liked feature of Teamcenter is the Rich Client's reliance on following a similar visual style to Windows Explorer. I find this confuses new users into thinking that it behaves like a file explorer and not the database it actually is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Teamcenter makes it easy to store and manage data across all departments of our company. We use Teamcenter as a PLM platform to manage data, models, and revision control across multiple products and needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Within Teamcenter we have recently explored the option of using the Manufacturing Process Planner tool at a Siemens Center of Excellence office. There we would occasionally run into issues with TC and MPP of the system crashing due to trying to move to quick or to much button pushing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The features you need for organizing, processing, analyzing, visualizing, are all there. If theres a certain way I want to interact with my data, documents, and designs, it likely already exists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All the pro's i've mentioned have a con: finding these functions and utilizing them is non-intuitive and lacks training. Our business relys on the experience of tenured employees to teach new hires and often eachother. For example, if you haven't worked in a file offline in some time, it is not easy to recall the menu drop downs and functions you need to upload/replace a file with the Check-in and Import function. The transition to Active Workspace has greatly improved the user interface for visualizing and finding data. But, it is still disjointed: Active Workspace is fast to find, but not to work in. Rich Client is slow to find, but great for data creation and management. I look forward to all the ways that Active Workspace is going to overcome these con's. Am using Teamcenter for the past three years. It has a user-friendly interface, and product lifecycle management is made simple by using this tool. It has very good structured change management that allows us to track and manage changes to the product, assign tasks and approval the drawings. We use this software for Bill Of Material creation, Engineering change requests, Change management, CAD data management, process and simulation management. As per the change request, drawing revisions can be made easier with all the details can be documented, which is very helpful. Teamcenter integrates and performs well with CAD software like NX and CATIA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Teamcenter has very few customizing options. It slows down, and also some errors occur while working with larger files. It requires powerful ram and high-end software for smooth functioning; otherwise hanging problem also occurs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
