**What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

It keeps good information about employee clock in time.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

It is unstable and sometimes frustration to log in and out with geofencing. I would sometimes be in the middle of the geofence area and it would still give me an error message that I am in within the geofence zone.

I cannot think of anything that I truly appreciate or like about TCP.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

Scheduling is rigid, not user-friendly, time-consuming, poor customer service

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TCP was purchased to help manage employee schedules, track accruals, and track employee time sheets. It took over a year to get everything working right. It even involved us changing our policies to conform with how TCP operates. The results of the program are incredibly time-consuming to add employees, manage their time off requests, and approve their hours. They also recently introduced clair a pay-on-demand feature that has been nothing but a headache to HR and our employees, and we have yet to get it to work right.

**What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

Their implementation team was great and on top of everything. The overall cost of licensing was significantly lower than other vendors we have used in the past. They are Oracle HCM partners which is why we chose them. The hardware was very easy to set up, almost plug and play across our organization.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

The error reporting could be a little better , in terms of set up upon implementation. The development time for our integration to Oracle HCM took longer than I expected.

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recently switched to Oracle HCM and tried to build an in-house solution, which, while it worked, it lacked significant features we needed to have. We previously used Kronos, but that software is significantly more expensive. We moved to TCP, and all our clocks and swipes work great. We are considering expanding the use to other constituents at our organization.

I would prefer if the connection between TCP and Infinite Visions were more seamless, especially in handling comp time.

The customer service agents are mostly always extremely friendly and quick to help/call back to assist with any issues.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

The problem I have encountered most often while using TCP is that I get different answers that are not necessarily (either) correct from different agents and it leads to confusion.

Setting up geofencing, employee timeclock management, submitting of timeoff requests.

I like the export function; it saves me from having to do a bunch of data entry. It's a simple click of a few buttons, and you've got your file to import into your payroll software!

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

I do not have anything I dislike about the system itself, my issues lie within the users not doing what they need to do on their end which is not TimeClock Plus's issue! It's a great system that works as long as your users are familiar with its functions! Maybe having some user training would be helpful!

I do not have any problems utilizing the system.

We had an issue with ordering a new Rgt unit that took multiple calls and a months worth of time to get unit up and running.

Being a large company, the reporting functions are not user friendly, and the system has limitations when multiple classes of employees are involved.

Employees are able to easily clock in all around campus and we can see all funtions in real time.

The ability to edit and program things remotely make it easy to process employee punches.

The bio metrics are very tricky, we have trouble with it reading fingerprints and have had to change the imprint finger in order for it to work. The schedule is clunky and difficult to use. I put in a ticket almost a month ago for some tech support and still have not been contacted.

They used the old punch clocks here until finally moving to a digital system. Much better than the old punch clock system.

Our users can access the time clock from any location, unless we geo-fence them for some reason. The time clock works each time, every time.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

We have yet to have an issue with the time clock.

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have issues tracking day off requests and who asked for the day off first. The supervisors are immediately notified of the request and can deal with it. The users can see the requests and whether mimimum staffing levels exists before they even request the day off. This saves a lot of hurt feelings and confusion.

We are a large dental practice with 65 hourly employees.  We have used TimeClock for over 20 years.  Their technology stays up to date, the reporting is very user friendly and support staff are very knowledgeable. You can set perimeters for employees access to clocking in and out, and I use the employee demographic reports for several HR projects.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

I do not have any complaints! They have grown with the fast changing times in which we live!

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TimeClock allows me to restrict early clock in,  which is very useful.  I enjoy how I can personalize the program to fit our company's benefits, for example vacation and sick hour accrual rates can be changed for employees when they hit certain anniversaries with the company and when we used CARES hours I could code them differently so they could be tracked.

Timeclock plus is efficient and effective in its functionality.  The platform is easy to understand and to utilitze.

If I could make a suggestion I would like to see the Holiday element have more functionality in regards to assigning employee groups.

The ease of use and configuration on the devices.  When there was a problem, tech support were very helpful.

The only problems were two faulty units out of the many we installed.  These were quickly replaced.

Ease of clocking in and out, ease of exporting to payroll system.

Accruals don't show real time.  We have been in implementation for two years now because of the system not being able to do what we were told.  Is costing us several thousands of dollars to get the system to do what we were told the system could do.  TCP wants thousands more to integrate one of their own scheduling system to TCP.  TCP does not have a test system.

There's lots of features and options available, yet the interface is intuitive and user friendly. Pairs well with their electronic time clocks. The mobile app is nice.

No real downsides, honestly. I can't recall any situation where there was more than a brief downtime.

TCP allows us to consistently apply time and attendance compliance across all our sites. We purchased their timeclocks with an embedded camera, so no more issues with "buddy punching".

The pending time off requests is nice. Staff can send their recommendations for time off. I love the dashboard where staff birthdays and anniversaries appear firsthand, so a staff member does not get accidentally forgotten (we celebrate these in the office). I like adding staff photos to the employee's profile. Timesheets are easy to print off.

I have not had anything that I dislike about Time Clock. It is user-friendly!!

The system is very easy for employees to use, and for managers to edit and approve. Very user friendly when exporting into our payroll software.

We don't like employees to access from home, so putting the clock configurations in for every new user gets to be a lengthy task.

Being able to schedule and restrict punches to specific hours.

Needing an admin log-in to override punches on a restricted punch (either early or late). Would be nice to have an override code that hourly managers could use that would push notifications to admin.

Tracking punches, tracking when individuals are reporting for work, tracking where they are punching in/out from, matching their hours to weekly wok schedule before running payroll

There is nothing that we dislike about the program. Its super user friendly and makes it easy for employees to review and approve their time.

Easier to read and mostly inputting time.

I don't like not being able to overide the OT rules with undoing OT. A certain department gets OT on the actually holidays not the county holiday for everyone. So I have to force the actual OT on the holiday but manually add the OT hours as straight time in our Payroll system.

Not quite sure that it is helping me solve anything.

The customer service is very friendly, helpful and patient.  Always willing to help and take their time explaining any problems I have.  Whenever I call, I am always taken care of right away.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

The Admin part of the scheduling program is a little tricky, could have a training manual or something more to refer back to.  But as a user, everyone loves the program, very user friendly.

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better time tracking, no missing unscheduled absence slips or confusion regarding time off.  The schedule for the whole year has already been uploaded for me so all i need to do, it just add vacations or update with sick time.

That you are able to call the help line anytime and a representative is always willing to help!!

When the issue(s) at hand is not resolved, it has to escalate to the next level. So far, it's been up and down, but it gets better at the end of the day.

When TCP is not syncing with Tyler Tech Visions when exporting the leave usage for the pay period.

Does a great job of helping us track time and attendance. Really like the ability to set custom rules for rounding.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

We switched from hosting on our own servers (on-premise V7) to the cloud V7. Cloud version has a few bugs that the on premise version did not have.

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They said that one of the bugs we reported was a known issue, but could not give any info on when or if a fix would be available.

The ease of the application along with the extensive reports system have really helped us better track our employees time more accurately.

After using our last program tirelessly to get the most minor tasks completed I dont' find that I have anything to compalin about at this itme.

Consistently tracking and maintaining accurate employee records has truly become quite seamless since making the transition to TCP.

The TCP software works well and integrates nicely with our PeopleSoft system.  Auto Import makes interfacing data very easy.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

Trying to get TCP to diagnose issues during our migration from on-premise to on-demand and get those resolved was very time consuming and frustrating.  A project that should have taken a few months took more than one year.  Other issues include configuration that is scattered about in the software, poor and not up to date documentation and knowledgebase, and manager and clock applications should be combined.  Would like to have more capabilities with custom fields and prompting at the clock level.

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us automate the time collection process for many employees and interfacing that data with our PeopleSoft HR system.  This has improved our business performance for a small portion of our staff.  We are looking forward to expanding automated time collection to a majority of our workforce in the future.

I enjoy the fact that TCP is a hosted solution that doesn't require me to place it on one of my servers. TCP's uptime has been excellent, and their support team always takes care of my issues promptly.

The main issue I have with TCP is when they update their system, which causes problems with my current settings. When we run into an issue, more often than not, it is due to a recent update.

TCP-TimeClock Plus has made the management of our leave for all employees so much easier. I am able to track leave, have it approved online--even via phone, assign employees to their managers, and import leave days into our existing Personnel system with ease.  No more inputting each form by  hand! The support team who assisted in my training and set-up provided excellent service. When I have had issues, the customer service goes above and beyond to ensure the issue is fixed. We discontinued the use of the time clocks, as it doesn't give an employee (maybe they are slow...) enough time to make their choices/input their info before it goes off. This is not a problem with the phone and most people are using the app at this time.

**What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

The best feature of TCP is the flexibility in time recording whether it is using a stand alone, computer browser access or the mobile app. The results or records are in real time and if any exceptions need to be addressed this can be done by using any device. The geofencing feature is a nice feature so managers can see where employees clocked in. This is good for restricting clocking in only at their respective job location.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

The geolocation and fencing is a great feature but employees do have a problem using the new mobile app. I work with Federal Work Study funds and the way to monitor and track expenses is very tedious in how this can be achieved using the software. It would be nice if an easier function is provided for tracking. The current way it is set up you have to do multiple steps just to track one individual. That is really difficult to do and manage when it is one person setting this up for 400 students.

If a Banner institution a lot of extra effort and planning has to be done to make sure TCP's coding matches up to Banner mainly in reference to all of Banner's leave codes for payroll.

**Recommendations to others considering TimeClock Plus by TCP:**

If you are a Banner institution I would recommend very in depth conversations in implementing leave codes when dealing with full time personnel.

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has really cut down the problem of individuals working before they are authorized to begin. Our current time recording system in Banner does not let a supervisor of manager see the recorded time until it has been submitted the day after the pay period has ended. This past practice caused a lot of problems for managers trying to contact employees to correct any errors. Since TCP is in "real time" a manager can correct an errors prior to the close of the pay period making the close a more smoother process for payroll.

**What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

The fingerprint reader lets us see exactly when employees are clocking in and out. It is also better than the old GT400. The GT400 required having a connection to a PC over the network. The fingerprint reader does not need this. The web clock features for clocking in and out are also really nice. It allows you to clock in and out without the GT400 or fingerprint reader, but still tracks your time correctly. This is ideal for users who are on the go or not in the office. You can use the site on your phone's browser. You can also use the app. As an administrator for TimeClock Plus I found it is really easy to set users and employees up. The amount of management and settings should cover most situations for most companies. Every time I have had an issue with TimeClock I was able to call their support and get the issues resolved quickly.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

There isn't any specific thing I dislike about the system. The few problems I've had, they quickly worked on and got fixed. If I had to choose one thing as a problem, I would say it's having to have a program running on a local PC that has to be on for the GT 400 to sync with TimeClock's servers. If the GT400 could sync to their servers without the PC being needed, it would be even better. This issue is still there with the GT400 which they are stopping support on. It is not an issue with the fingerprint reader.

**Recommendations to others considering TimeClock Plus by TCP:**

I suggest TimeClock Plus if you want to streamline clocking in and out for your employees and to keep track of their time worked.

**What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving issues with employees not turning in accurate time. With TimeClock Plus, we know exactly when they are clocking in and out. TimeClock Plus has also made it easy for payroll to import and export times to pay employees properly.

Coming from an age of years ago where everything was done on paper this has streamlined the process so much.  It saves time and is really effective.

**What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?**

Downsides I think is there could be a few things added such as once a sub is chosen that person is taken out of the rotation completely, in other words, no one else can choose that person.  A few more reports or even a way to message subs through the system maybe I think would be great without having to run a query, pull email addresses  etc....  I would also like to be able to personalize my TCP as a manager more as to what shows on start up, what I can hide on start up.

Much easier way to assign substitutes.  I love the ease of seeing who is available and who is not when it comes to each day.

TCP makes time management for HR/Payroll extremely convenient and easy to use after the tutorial.

The app crashes often. The wall clocks sometimes disconnect from the network, losing punches. Customer service can be lacking or extremely delayed. Many customer service representatives are not very knowledgeable in regards to wall clocks and cannot offer effective assistance for the app.

I wouldn't say it is "solving problems". It makes tracking time and absences easy, however, it could be much easier.

Easy navigation gets me where I need to go inside the administrative panel and the process for managing employee profiles, schedules, and hours is efficient and effective.

Honestly, the only downside is we'd like more features added for employees to self-manage functions in their profiles. Other feature add-ons like payroll, employee training, and a rewards program would be the icing on the cake.

Timekeeping was a nightmare before we found TCP. Additionally, we can better track raises and other activities associated with an employee.

Simple interface meets our needs since we turn in hours to another entity that tracks taxes and withholding and issues the paychecks.  Helpful support that follows through to make sure you get your issue resolved.

Sometimes, it seems to not record a punch, resulting in a forgotten punch that needs resolution before running payroll.
