## TaxGPT Reviews
  ### 1. Power Research Tool for Tax Professionals - With the Proper Know-How

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor P. | CPA Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about TaxGPT?**

TaxGPT is great for researching. I have found as a solo practitioner this tool allows an additional perspective on solving client's problems as they arise. If the prompt is fed all the facts and circumstances of the issue, it can be incredibly powerful in pulling the resources together to aid in supporting a position. Combined with our CPA education, TaxGPT can save substantial amounts of time so that we can focus on delivering value to our clients. I can prepare client memos regarding positions that would have taken hours to research, confirm understanding, and write - and those memos can serve as a basis for what I need 95% of the time. Generally, I only have to make situational revisions or add clarity depending on the client's tax comprehension skills.

Agent Andrew can also be a handy second set of eyes to review new client returns or double-check returns when you want the additional accuracy assurance. For new clients, it can help you develop an understanding the scope of services to be provided so that you can provide a refined offering of services.

**What do you dislike about TaxGPT?**

This tool is not intended for laypersons. In my view, it demands a certain level of experience and education to know the right questions to ask and to accurately describe real-world situations. Although beginners in the profession can still make use of TaxGPT, it is best suited for those with some background knowledge.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used the tool to advise some clients to avoid a Section 463 trust because the research allowed me to articulate the pitfalls and risks in a way that helped them to understand. Another time, I used it to advise a client to not do a prohibited transaction. I knew the way the bridge loan was designed wouldn't fly, but again, assembling research and documentation to convince the other advisors what they were pitching would cost the client dearly. These issues are relatively complex and TaxGPT is able to assist me in protecting my clients and providing value to solve their issues.

  ### 2. Revolutionized Tax Research and Return Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamara D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about TaxGPT?**

I appreciate how TaxGPT provides quick summaries and explanations of the tax code with detailed references and links. This is incredibly handy during client meetings because it allows me to provide definitive answers swiftly. The interpretation functionality is very beneficial for client communication and serves as a guidance tool while researching and preparing tax returns. Additionally, I found the initial setup of TaxGPT to be very easy, aided by the short user tutorial provided. Despite some occasional incorrect flags, the review function is helpful as it offers substantial feedback and considerations.

**What do you dislike about TaxGPT?**

I find that the review function in TaxGPT sometimes flags things incorrectly, which can be misleading. They are aware of this issue and are working to improve it.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TaxGPT to quickly interpret tax codes and provide client-ready answers. It helps research and prepare tax returns efficiently, offering summaries with links. Although the review feature occasionally flags errors incorrectly, it still offers valuable feedback.

  ### 3. Unmatched Research Efficiency and Client Communication with TaxGPT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas C.

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about TaxGPT?**

I have been using TaxGPT for almost two years now, initially for research, and now more extensively for generating client-facing emails. I discovered TaxGPT through a social media ad, and I was initially skeptical, but its capabilities left me impressed. Compared to other tax research software I have used, such as those from Thomson Reuters and CCH, TaxGPT offers far superior search engine functions, eliminating the need to rely on basic Google searches to research IRS information. I appreciate its intuitive nature, especially how it links directly to the necessary forms and allows me to easily confirm or adjust my queries for more accurate responses. Setting it up was straightforward and supported by excellent sales representatives and client managers who provided useful video resources. One of its most remarkable benefits is the time efficiency it offers; tasks that used to take days are now completed in less than an hour, saving significant time and resources in my workflow. This time-saving aspect is incredibly valuable, especially in the service industry where time equates to money, and TaxGPT has effectively paid for itself multiple times. I am also excited about an upcoming feature, Agent Andrew, which I am currently testing, along with the forthcoming tax planning side. I would rate my likelihood of recommending TaxGPT to others as a solid 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about TaxGPT?**

I would like to see a more fluid transition between TaxGPT and other tax software in the future. It would be ideal if there were a way to integrate TaxGPT with a tax planning software in a CRM model.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TaxGPT to solve complex research tasks, converting them into layman's terms for clients, which dramatically reduces research time from days to under an hour.

  ### 4. Effortless Notice Handling and Faster Responses with TaxGPT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about TaxGPT?**

As a Tax Admin, TaxGPT has been very easy to use. Uploading notices and documents directly into the platform and getting a clear summary + next steps has improved our response time. It also drafts response language that my team can review and send quickly. Overall, it makes notice handling more efficient and helps me better understand the issues at hand. The customer support is next level. It is rare to find a team that is so hands on and responds so quickly!

**What do you dislike about TaxGPT?**

It's still learning. There are some knowledge gaps and a few features I wish went one step further, but the gap is closing quickly, and I feel like it is improving constantly.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It speeds up response time and reduces the amount of clarification I need from the tax team. I can upload the notice, get a clear explanation and a draft response, and move it forward quickly. It also helps me better understand the context behind the notices, so I’m more confident in my role.

  ### 5. Boosted Efficiency and Enhanced Tax Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle L.

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about TaxGPT?**

I have been using TaxGPT for over a year now for tax research and really appreciate its capabilities. The research tool is extremely beneficial, allowing my team to conduct research much faster and more efficiently, which has greatly increased our productivity. The unique prompt function in the research tool helps us frame better questions to get accurate answers. Setting up TaxGPT was incredibly easy; a quick call with Kash streamlined the user setup process and required minimal training due to its user-friendly interface. Additionally, the software has been a boon in improving our time efficiencies as CPAs, freeing up time by facilitating faster research and better task management. I also value the ongoing development of new features that are not only enhancing its research capabilities but are also contributing towards building a comprehensive tax software to aid in client onboarding, tax planning, and tax return review. This adaptability and responsiveness to user needs have been a notable asset for our firm, as we're working with TaxGPT to expand its functionalities. The partnership with TaxGPT has been advantageous, as it's providing innovative tools like 'Agent Andrew' for reviewing tax returns and pursuing document management solutions and AI features to effectively run a CPA firm. I find it to be a cool tool that is already integral in our operations, and we have entered into another year-long agreement due to its promising enhancements and our positive experience.

**What do you dislike about TaxGPT?**

TaxGPT is a newer software platform, and like any developing technology, there are still a few kinks being worked out. From time to time, the outputs may not be fully accurate. Kash and Marcus welcome feedback whenever issues are identified, as they are continuously enhancing the system to ensure accuracy and reliability. Because this is an AI-driven tool, it’s important to have a strong understanding of the tax code when reviewing recommendations or outputs to confirm their accuracy. AI is a powerful support tool—but it doesn’t replace professional judgment.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find TaxGPT enhances time efficiency, allowing my team to research faster, freeing up time, and making our work more effective. It streamlines tax compliance and research, improving overall productivity.

  ### 6. TaxGPT Has Become Our Go-To AI Model Research and Writing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about TaxGPT?**

TaxGPT has changed how our team handles tax research and review work. It delivers accurate, citation-backed answers in seconds, saving hours we used to spend searching through other platforms or the web. The ability to upload client files, IRS notices, or entire returns and get a tailored analysis is a huge time-saver. The platform feels built for tax professionals, not generic AI users, and the support team is extremely responsive whenever we have questions.

**What do you dislike about TaxGPT?**

There’s a short learning curve at first, especially around crafting effective prompts to get the most precise responses. Occasionally, when uploading very large document sets, it takes a few minutes to process, but it appears be improving each time.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TaxGPT has saved us hours of manual research, drafting, and review by automating the most time-consuming parts of our tax work. It gives us fast, accurate, and source-backed answers and occasionally catches issues that have slipped past our manual review. In general, we have more confidence, less busywork, and more time to focus on advisory work.

  ### 7. Efficient Tax Research and Documentation Aid

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph G.

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about TaxGPT?**

I love using TaxGPT because it's incredibly efficient at synthesizing large amounts of information, significantly reducing the time it takes me to write detailed documents such as notice response letters to the IRS or memos to clients about new tax credits. Tasks that used to take me around forty-five minutes are now done much faster, freeing up my time for other responsibilities. The process of setting it up was straightforward due to its intuitive interface, which is similar to applications I've used before. This familiarity helped in easily figuring out how to get the desired results. I also appreciate its ability to pull information from trusted sources, ensuring that the answers I get are accurate and reliable, much more so than if I were using a different system that might just be trawling the internet indiscriminately. Additionally, I find it particularly useful that I can save questions for future reference and easily copy and paste provided solutions into emails or word documents. This feature makes documentation much more manageable. While I currently use it mostly for these core functionalities, the potential to use it for reviewing work in the future is an exciting prospect. Overall, TaxGPT is a powerful tool that streamlines the workload, enhances productivity, and ensures precision in information handling.

**What do you dislike about TaxGPT?**

I find it challenging to remember to use TaxGPT regularly due to the friction in accessing the platform. Going through the login process and entering security codes adds unnecessary steps that disrupt ease of access. It would be beneficial if there was a more seamless integration into my daily operations, perhaps through a desktop tool or easier interface integration. Additionally, the process of preparing trial balances could be faster with better integration, such as with Thomson Reuters products or other trial balance software, as this task still consumes a significant amount of time.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TaxGPT to synthesize large data quickly, saving time on tasks like drafting IRS response letters and writing client memos. It provides quick, accurate information from trusted sources, streamlining my workflow significantly.

Some features are still being developed, which means certain areas do not yet offer complete functionality. I am eager to see these updates implemented, as I think the platform holds significant potential. Despite a few current limitations, it already serves as a valuable resource for accounting professionals.

**What problems is TaxGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It delivers clear, well-structured explanations and conveniently offers links to the original sources, making it easy to verify information. The platform has significantly reduced the time spent on research, enabling me to focus more on client interactions and questions. Furthermore, I am very impressed with TaxGPT's commitment to continuous improvement and the additional features they have introduced, which show their dedication to evolving client needs.
