Easy to learn requiring little technical skills.  The result is a very engaging tool that nudges learners during a prolonged programme to complete tasks and prepare for workshops.

A couple of more survey tools to collect learner feedback.  Currently limited to rating on a 5 Star rating scale.

**What do you like best about TARS?**

Tars chatbot builder is very user friendly and anybody with little to no technical expertise can get started with chatbots within minutes. Our customer success manager was very helpful and gave us a good on boarding experience. We were trained by her and all of their features that aligned with our use case were highlighted very smoothly.

Nothing that comes to my mind right away. Tars has been very helpful and proactive in the way they dealt with us.

We have signed up with Tars as a reseller and have been pitching chatbots to our existing and new clientele. The customisation options that Tars provide is what I like the most.

**What do you like best about TARS?**

We started using TARS about a year ago to use it as a conversational landing page (CLP). I was not aware of this term until we started using TARS! Using Tars as CLPs has helped us achieve good numbers as compared to the landing pages we were using. The dashboard is also very user-friendly with drag and drop features and anyone can create a fully functioning bot in just 20 mins!!

The leads generated are also of quality. Using bots, we were able to generate quality leads by asking the visitors a bunch of qualifying questions!

The success team is also very proactive! They help us with the best practices that will help us achieve better numbers. They also help us with other use cases where we can use their bots as well.

We definitely recommend TARS!

I like how you can design the chatbot to your customers needs.

**What do you dislike about TARS?**

What I see in most chatbot programs is that they show limited amount of understanding to apply the chatbot they created and to use.   However, the understanding given is limited and directly related to the chatbot actions.  But the most important thing is to learn how to identify the customer's needs, and then tie them to chatbot actions to create a solution.  Many people with chatbot solutions have a limited understanding on how to use them, thus the chatbots relative value goes down for the user, and the creator for the company.  If we could get a course on chatbot strategy and flows scripts then we could create a better success for the customer and therefore our success would be better, and then ultimately, your success would be better.  Please think about this and create a course on effectively utilizing chatbots, strategy, and tactical application.   Thanks.

I am not using chatbots that much because of my lack of understanding on how to use chatbots.  I am not speaking of the simple use of chatbots, I get that, but I feel at a loss as far as translating customer needs into effective chatbots.

**What do you like best about TARS?**

I love that the staff at TARS  are all about making something happen. If it doesn't work how you think, they work with you to get it right... which is usually myself doing something weird.  TARS is an amazing tool to help users and gain leads. It has a great track record. Now with a template library, it is so easy to set up and use for many situations from real estate to agencies to support.  I have used the tool for years and unlike many tools out there, TARS has been a solid and great tool in my arsenal of web tools.  It has been completely worth the money.  If you are considering this tool for simplifying your workload as a small business or a lone corp marketing agent... this is  the one you need. Top ten in my toolkit.

**What do you dislike about TARS?**

I'd love a feature they don't have, I'd love it to read emails, look for specific ones and use the bot patterns to process the email as the bot would. Just a way to add more lead options. I love the tool.  There really is not a down side to the tool or their staff working with us on the tool. While it's not a fail for the TARS tool set, it is a want from me.

This is the tool you need, one of my tops ten!

I needed to help vendors of my site sell more items in the marketplace and to help vendors work on their site changes when the office staff were offline. This tool saves my company money and time to handle common questions and issues that users have.  We also use the data later to make our process cleaner and better for the vendors.  It is simply the best, most flexible chat bot self help tool I use and offer to my clients.  I have tried others and nothing compares to the flexibility the tools offers, the support the TARS team offers or the new features always coming down the pike.

The centre piece of this platform is the DIY builder. It is very easy to build bots using the maker dashboard and you need no technical or coding expertise to build a complex chatbot. Also you can customize the UI quite easily through the maker dashboard. It gives you the power to build a super engaging bot

Easy to learn, simple to set up, and no more spending the budget on development. Using Tars, it is easy to reach the customers and fulfill their expectations. Tars will not have any performance impact to the website response time which is good. Chat bot templates will save your time and effort to implement. API integration is another pro of having Tars. Extensive help and documentation is very useful.

Nowadays lots of pop-ups in any website. Email newsletters, cookie consent, exit intent, and having chat bot might overkill the website. Also, users or visitors are smart enough to differentiate whether they are chatting with the human or automated bots.

Dislike is a strong word; I would love for AI, would love for it to allow me to configure a vocabulary so that responses to a question are not just tiles or dropdowns. Want the ability to converse in customers language; need to be able to understand their free text inputs and respond contextually . Will give customers freedom of not having to traverse a flowchart and save time typing what they exactly want

Fantastic solution if you know what you are looking for and specifically you have conversational engineers who know how to makethe conversation seem non-laborious. 
The team at TARS is flexible and always proffer help with a smile. 
The software is very flexible and intuitive.

Menu based navigation means customers are traversing what you have configured; this is time consuming and irritating at times, when you dont hit the right path. 
Therefore, a free text based reponse menu will be really helpful

Display of chat nodes becomes a bit hard to read when you have set up many of these like we have.  Also, you can't export/print these out.

It also answers customers questions or allows them to leave messages for us after-hours.

**What do you like best about TARS?**

It's not easy to know where to start. Since I first started with HelloTars, I immediately saw an increase in leads. Because the forms are fun and easy to use on mobile and desktop, I had more people complete long forms. The bots can be injected with personality that keeps people entertained and willing to continue. 



Each of my bots are customized to my brand. Used as a pop up or leaving my site or social entirely still looks like my company giving respondents a feeling of consistency and safety.

Bonus! You can add animated files to your backgrounds. Your design choices are pretty limitless. 

**What do you dislike about TARS?**

I can't think of any issues. When I run into a limitation, Ish at Tars  makes it work every time. Upgrades and new integrations like Zapier are on what seems like an endless roadmap.

**Recommendations to others considering TARS:**

Tars is for the expert and novice alike. Anyone in sales is losing out by not automating the process of intake for new leads. As a digital company with very few humans, my Tars bots do a lot of heavy lifting for me. Allowing me to be more human to my clients.

I have used dozens of chatbot tools but TARS surpasses all of them with its feature richness, flexibility and speed. I love to use it as the landing page for ad campaigns. .. and then 400+ chatbot templates is like a ready-made superstore for digital agencies. 

**What do you dislike about TARS?**

Despite everything, it still looks old in terms of design. The 'branding logo' placement is also weird. I wish if this hyperactive team gets some time to breathe and then look at the UI section of their own chatbot, especially in the form of a widget. They recently the 'Powered by Tars' branding but the old one was still better. frontend UI team needs a new chief I believe. ( The backend and the dashboard is already amazing )

The ease with which we can manage the chatbot a designed by them! It is super convenient and easy to modify. And their customer support team especially akshiti has been very supportive and helpful!

Few tracking features regarding data could be improved but overall it is very difficult to dislike anything about them!

A very good chatbot at reasonable price. For each message we can keep timing, validations, emojis, there UX is awesome. Creating flow is very easy.

Cloning option the whole chatbot, this option is not there. Except this every thing is fine

After 8 PM we won't answer any chats, people visit our website and leave without sharing their details. So by using TARS, we are getting leads at 2-4 daily at night times.

Collecting leads is a breeze with the Tars chatbots. The difference in conversion rate between classic forms and chatbots is massive, people are much more likely to answer to a chatbot.

I also love the ability to send each answer as an event in Google Analytics, it makes it so much easier to understand how users are interacting with the chatbots.

**What do you dislike about TARS?**

The user interface when making chatbots is not the greatest, it could use some improvement. I got used to it now, so this is not an issue for me anymore.

Check out their onboarding videos first and use one of the existing templates that is similar to your needs, you'll be saving a lot of time.

I mostly gave up on landing pages and just use the full-page chatbots now. No need to spend time anymore to build up landing pages, the process is much faster now and converts better.

I was introduced to Hellotars a year back. Since then we have created and deployed multiple personalized product and services based chatbots. I must say this is a great tool to generate leads in volume. Regular updates in the features including API based enhancements make the difference from other bots. The best part is the quick customer support whenever you raise a request.

chatbot should have an option to allows users to indicate their need for a human or give a flag off to the human counterpart.

Having a chatbot is the website will definitely fetch better results for your business with driving for interaction with the web assets.

Graphical chatbot building for simple functions in a flow chart-like manner.  More complicated calculations based on user input possible, with some added work (but geared more for a more savvy programmer).

Calculations need to be linked to a script library which requires extra steps.  Won't work with Facebook Messenger.

A few bugs prevent it from working fully well on browsers other than chrome.
The price is also too high I think for this kind of product. Maybe more price slices would help smaller businesses get access to it.

Quite a few things. Firstly, the ease of developing and implementing a chatbot is quite overwhelming. You can literally build and implement the chatbot on your website with 2 hours of signing up on their bot builder. The best part is that you can even make design changes to suit your brand. If you’re collecting leads for your business, the API feature lets you dump your leads directly to your CRM. The TARS team has been really helpful in terms of the support they provide.

There are a number of different chatbot options on the market but Tars is by far my favorite. The interface is so easy to use. They are constantly adding new features and their newsletter is always funny but educational. I find the team great to work with as well. Always helpful and fast to answer questions.

I feature I would like to see is the ability to easily develop a landing page using a Tars chatbot. I'm not as technical as others so that's a little more cumbersome for me. The chatbot itself is very easy to work with.

**What do you like best about TARS?**

So there's a couple of things we like about it. First of all, we tend to look for unexpected experiences when building websites for clients. And we also acknowledge that straight forms are sort of boring. What we like about TARS are two different aspects. First is that it's really easy to set up the conversation tree. The interface is just easy to use. The second thing is not about the interface  but more about the engagement with the end user. The numbers don't lie. People for now like chat bots. And you can control the timing of the sequences to customize the experience.

**What do you dislike about TARS?**

It's cumbersome with the drag and drop experience to connect "gambits". so that part could use a different method to create a chat experience with a lot of questions. right now there is just one interface. In truth though i don't believe that there are too many circumstances where one would need a chat with more than 10 questions, so maybe this concern isn't a big deal.

Collecting data for our SEO and Adwords clients is our main concern. Getting high conversions without sacrificing quality is key.

That Tars removed about 60-70% of our customer support tickets and that it's really easy to configure and tailor to your needs, drag/drop, connect and you are good to go.

When you are building complex bots the canvas tend to be quite cluttered and connecting external services usually require some kind of dev skills or middleware as Zapier etc.

If you are planning to use more advanced functions (API calls) make sure to involve your goto developer when you plan your implementation.

The developers are very accessible and do a great job of listening to customers needs and updating the product accordingly.  They don't shy away from things just because doing something might be tough to do.

**What do you dislike about TARS?**

If I had to say one thing it would be the coloring of the dashboard and how it is somewhat clunky to change the popup icons of the robots.  Maybe that's branding but the colors are not appealing to me - luckily there is customizability so my preferences don't matter.

I am using as a virtual concierge to direct people to information they are searching for on my websites.  I also look forward to using as a scheduling tool in the near future once they integrate with Google Calendars.

Tars has all the right tools I need to design and publish a chatbot.

They understand the industry so they're able to introduce and support the right features. You'll notice how they took some UI shortcuts in favor of practicality because the folks know what parts are critical or not.

The trickiest part for me is deciding when to add a chatbot widget.

I also have a chat widget and other pop-ups.

I could use guides on when to use which CTA tool.
