"Leasing Software is Buggy & Ad-Hoc Reporting is Difficult"

What do you like best about Tango?

Sales Tax is automatically added to rent, helps to eliminate human errors in rent processing.

What do you dislike about Tango?

Leasing system is not intuitive, difficult for new users to pick up and use without a fair amount of training

Contact system is difficult to use

System bugs regularly occur when running rent roll or general built in reports

Ad-Hoc reporting feels old and difficult to use, our previous leasing sytem made it easy to run our own reports but Visual Query requires time to master, which takes the power away from less mastered individuals to run their own reports.

Our team did not feel the complexity and time required to implement was well represented when we were picking systems, if I could do it all over again - I would not have picked Tango Lease for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tango is an effective Lease Management tool for lease data and legal documents"

What do you like best about Tango?

To be able to access a from a single source in a central repository for all data across the county while being able to provide critical reporting metrics, now that the dashboard has been implemented it only adds to the ability to pull data.

Tango staff, specifically Rick Zelinsky and Mark Rush in my case are quick to react when we have questions which I really appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tango?

I dislike:

-Contacts, they seem to be overcomplicated

-That we cant change specific fields on our own (although my biggest pain point of changing banner is now fixed)

- more of a comment, I would love to see a user conference, it would be fantastic to network with users of the system for best practice, that would be invaluable - even if it was part of the NRTA in some part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tango?

What do you dislike about Tango?

Too many steps to run a sales forecast.

Every time I have a problem, I need to submit a support ticket, which takes time.

What do you like best about Tango?

- The ASC 842 lease accounting schedules are easy to complete and update

- The reporting makes review, reconciliations, and preparing disclosures a straight forward process

- The ability to generate accounting entries is very straightforward and it integrates nicely with our GL system

- The system, in general, is very intuitive, which helps with onboarding.

- We have been able to work with the service department to create reports for our finance team, so they are able to get forward looking data on their own, which we used to manually have to provide

- Full service hosting allows for us to have business owners also own the system, which makes issue resolution more efficient Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tango?

- The system could used more workflow capabilities to assist with some of the SOX requirements, especially around the accounting schedules

- The lease accounting schedules and classificaton analyses are completed disconected - there could be some efficiencies to gain if these were connected for key inputs/outputs, like the ending classification, the IBR to be used. Additionally, it would be good if the analyses could be saved, so there is a record of each analysis, versus it replacing the result each time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Tango:

I really don't have many complaints related to my experience with this system, but part of that is because I was extremely involved during the implementation process. My recommendation is to have a very involved group of people to handle the implementation to make sure that the setup is includive of all buisness users' needs. What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?

- We used to do all of our lease accounting in excel. Using Tango has greatly improved our process and allowed us to spend time on other, more beneficial, items.

- We used to have a much more decentralized review of the lease terms, but now we are all able to review the information on the same screens, which helps minimize communication issues.

- We used to have to calculate all of our lease classification analyses in excel; however, now we can run and store these within the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When looking for a system it is critical to dive into the functionality of the system and not be distracted by a fancy dashboard. The details within the system need to really drive the results as you can't run a business with a dashboard. What do you like best about Tango?

Easy to navigate UI, users have minimum number of clicks to navigate. Reporting is quick, easy and plentiful. Accounting schedules have allowed us to reduce headcount. Workflow functionality throughout the product is smooth and efficient. Support team is great to work with and attentive to our needs. What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tango has a better organization structure for one-time payments that has allowed us to review our property taxes for the portfolio and ensure we are properly accrued. 842 was a large undertaking that was easily solved by the Tango solution/team. Overall we fell more comfortable with the Tango solution and our data. Our payment processing has been simplified and streamlined. Workflow for approval (payments, lease adds and changes) has removed all paper from our process and allowed us to work remotely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great system, working out its kinks, and excited for the future"

What do you like best about Tango?

Tango Lease Administration and Lease Accounting system allowed our business to establish one source of truth for all things lease. From the accounting side, we were able to transition our large bulky excel files to a system which calculates our monthly entries using the same source information used in our billings and payments. We are able to generate reports to quickly provide our disclosure related information to our financial reporting team, and we are looking forward to additional capabilities in the future. What do you dislike about Tango?

We are still working through stabilizing the percent rent function. Our straight-forward calculations work great; however, our more complex leases which have various percent rent lease years (vs. the recurring cost lease years) are still be worked out. Also, we are looking forward to having better reporting capabilities out of the system as we do not currently have a dynamic ad-hoc reporting tool. Would love to provide key business partners the ability to report on all data in the system with a user friendly reporting tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tango solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were able to transition our excel files into the system which allowed us to transition to the new lease standard, ASC 842. We also are able to run reports that allow us to produce our quarterly disclosures in an efficient manner.
