The best part about taking points is how it offers teachers, like me, the ability to communicate with parents of all languages. It makes the process super seamless! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike how the program functions far better with parents who download the app -- I wish it would work just as well for parents who are just using it thought texting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can create several different groups to send ot announcements to those that need the information or I can message parents individually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I find most helpful about Talking Points is that your communication goes out to parents with a fluent, professional translation that sounds like it was written in their language! You don't have to simplify your communication because you're not sure about using google translate or other online translation apps. Talking points has always been accurate for me and I've been using it for three years. It's wonderful that so many languages are available! I've used Russian, Spanish, Swahili and others. It saves time because it translates in all those languages. Your communications are saved and you can even save templates. It makes it easy to communicate with my multi language families. What I dislike is that because my district doesn't allow google docs, I wasn't able to copy/paste my students' profiles. I had to do it individually. However, it was well worth the time and effort at the beginning of the year. I have now used Talking Points for three years and find this initial work at the beginning well worth it. Talking Points is quick and easy to use. Ease of implementation, integration, and features are all excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing that is not good about Talking Points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This app is a spectacular resource to use in connecting with families who speak languages I am unable to communicate in. It's so nice to know families are still able to know what's happening in our class without the use of constant translators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the translations can be inaccurate/confusing which is likely true for any automated translation service.
My biggest problem with this resource is the APP. I was made an admin in my district three years ago and never noticed any differences in my app other than being able to connect with more students. Then, all of the sudden at the beginning of this school year I (and others) can no longer send messages from the app, they just disappear. After being in contact with support for a month, they closed my case because I just kept telling them it wasn't working??? And when I inquired about this they told me it was because I was an admin so it wasn't supported but 1. I've been an admin for 3 years and it hasn't been a problem and 2. There's nothing that looks physically different about my app since becoming an admin. There was also no mention of if they were working to solve this problem or any other solution. Just continually closing my help ticket. We're coming up on 6 months of this being an issue.
This is a great resource, but without use of a phone it is nearly impossible to use in addition to being extremely impractical. It's frustrating that I can't use it to the full extent given that I know my district pays a lot of money for the resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I get to share announcements with parents! It's so helpful & the program also does the translations for me so I don't have to! An easy to use program Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly don't have any dislikes about TP but I would recommend maybe adding more languages so that we are able to speak to different families! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have loved using Talking Points this year because I was able to reach EVERYONE in my classroom, every time! Whenever I sent out a message I had parents with different home languages messaging me back and this was so helpful from years past! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the only things I didn't like were the glitches, like how it loads the names. That was really the only thing. I think these kinds of issues can be easily solved with experience and feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TalkingPoints is an efficient platform that makes teacher-parent communication easier than ever. It keeps track of how many messages you send and who is reading the messages. It is also great to be able to write in English and the parent can easily change the messages to their native language. The templates provided are also super helpful. A few times it seems to glitch or be slow or out of service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that parents can receive messages whether they have the app or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not found anything yet that I dislike and I have been using Talking Points for five years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think it is an easy way to send out information that will go straight to a parent's phone. This way I can communicate effectively and in a timely fashion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not found anything I dislike about TalkingPoints thus far, and that is saying a lot because us teachers always seem to complain! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
