One of the main things I like about Talisma is the feature where when someone calls in from a number that is on file, it pulls up the inquiry/file automatically; which is very efficient and professional. I also like the structure design and how interface friendly it is.
I also very much like the search criteria / categories. There are plenty of options to can utilize in locating a particular file / account. In addition, the ability to look up a file with partial data is a very nice feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the downsides to Talisma are that it can be slow to respond to commands. It is especially slow when you initially start it up for the 1st time after being shut down. Then as much as I like the auto file pop-up when someone calls in from a number on file, it sometimes does not work for some reason. Which is very frustrating and inefficient. I love how Talisma is integrated with the Avaya telephony software so when a student calls in with a phone number we have for them in Talisma, their talisma file auto-populates on a Talisma Phone window. I also love the ease of use of Talisma Analytics when it comes to creating and pulling queries in the Reports Manager Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since it's physical software and not in the cloud, Talisma is super slow. I do not know if it has to do with our database size but with that aside, the search features are incredibly slow, especially when looking up a phone number. The Right Work Right Time system definitely needs some work, though it provides help with individuals who are just dialing down a list, it doesn't allow for people to schedule times where another student's name will pop up on the list Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The option to manage one central, general email account and have various contributors (staff members) reply from that single address, instead of using the personal email account.

The interface is not quite user-friendly (with a quite early 2000 feel to it) and you really got to know your way around because it is not exactly necessarily intuitive.
